Gaming Football Manager 2015

Heh, last day victory over Sunderland, an 86th minute goal by my backup striker after an awful back pass header leaves him one on one with the keeper and we scrape winning the Championship! 2019/20 Premier League here we come.

Probably going to be a nightmare, my 2nd choice RW is a Conference level player(Championship potential), the rest of my squad barring about 3 are between League 1 and Championship quality.

Took the French to the Olympics to try and improve my cred. Fitness is an absolute nightmare being allowed only 18 players...

Just had the seasons youth intake(in FMC happens after season, not in March), and a kid from Crewe has been pronounced "one of the best players of his generation".

This guy has me excited, at 15 he's going to be given a first team spot, I'm not sure exactly what to do with him though! Thinking 2nd choice RW as my current 2nd RW is rubbish. My RW is an advanced playmaker though, so his passing and vision will need training.

First game of the season was a 1-3 loss to Chelsea, at the Britannia which we're borrowing while our usual stadium is renovated to Premier League spec, expected loss so no mind.

Second game was a tricky away tie at the New White Heart Lane....

My 3rd highest appearance maker has complained about his lack of first team football (only my goalkeeper and center back/captain have made more, and the lad in question is probably my least skilled footballer, but he's quite versatile which helps my small squad), just after a game he had played a full 90 minutes in, and having played a full 90 minutes in the previous 5 games in a row.

He has played every league game bar 3, and rested in the early Pokal rounds against dead rubbers. Shit off, twat.

Is there a hidden attribute that makes certain players piss and moan more than others? This definitely seems to be the pissiest, moaniest edition of FM to date.

Spot when the Premiership money started flowing.... Ha.

Yes. The Controversy attribute, but Temperament, Ambition, Loyalty, and the managers reputation will all play into how often players will moan.

No idea what kind of challenge you're interested in?

1860 Munich. Good team, with talented youngsters. Amazing Stadium and in a great league.

Went Paderborn in the end. Was just there recently and really liked it so thought why not.

I think now is the time of year I can just sit back and play a bit of a long term game with one team instead of moving about. Make Paderborn a European force before I get bored again. At that point, I'll probably do that challenge where you go on holiday for a season then take one of the newest promoted teams in the conference all the way to the top.

Gahhh so incredibly infuriating sometimes.

What's that, i won the first leg of the CL QF 3-0 at home? Of course I'm guaranteed to lose the second leg by 4 goals, no matter how many I score.

4-0, I score to 4-1, going through, of course it'll be 5-1.

5 goals of course being the most I've conceded in one game all season.

Also, does anyone else stage press conferences in their own head about things you've done, or are going on in the game?

After I sold Sisto to Man City because he asked me to accept a bid...I had a whole meeting in my head with the press about how while he was a good player, he only won his awards because of the system we played allowed him to shine, and that I guarantee Newcastle would have a player win those awards again before he ever would.

Needless to say I had a player win the Golden Boy, Sisto was nowhere in sight for any awards :D

Vietto, Depay, Barbosa, Januzaj, Moura, Wilson, and Redmond are my favourite collection of attacking players i've ever had. Just pure joy. <3

Has anyone had much joy with 3-5-2 formation? I've struggled with it so far but I've just picked Watford and they have perfect set up for this formation - Pudil or Layun on the left, Paredes or Anya on the right depending on how offensive I want to go as well as a selection of good center halves. Beginning of the season has been very tough and I was 18th after 10 games but I've picked up recently and I am still hoping for a play off place. I want to play offensive brand of football so there's been loads of goals but my defence is still far too shaky.

Got much much better with time and halfway through season it looks like I have a very good chance to make play offs. This team does not have much quality though and I'm positive I'd rather wait a year before coming up but you can hardly ignore PL money. Maybe they will grant me a few quid to improve the team.

Done some great summer business after winning my first league title at Braga (Theirs too!)

Almost forgot to mention we got taken over just before the start of pre-season. I was promised loads of cash but got nothing and instead got training/youth facilities upgraded at the cost of €23 Mil (which they paid for) and they injected €60 Mil into the club's balance.

First thing was Deluofeu (Signed the summer before for €3 Million to replace Ocampos). Both only stayed the one season at great profit to me. Signed both for around €3.7-3.9 Million and sold Ocampos for €30Mil and got up to €39 Million for Deluofeu

Tried to get Ocampos back for 9.5 Mil but simply could t afford the wages. Then looked at Gerson whom I eventually purchased for €22 Mil.

My other key signings were Smalling (€6 Mil) Rabiot (€2.7 Mil) and Ismat-Mirin (Free) and James Wilson (Free).

What a fecking career at Watford. Pulled the team up after initial struggles and finished 2nd in the Championship, lost all good loanees and was left with basically 3-4 PL quality players - Forestieri (who wants to leave), Deeney, Layun and maybe one of Ekstrand, Belkalem and Angella. Got amazing transfer kitty of £3m which allowed me to sign Weimann for £2.5m (Vydra replacement, incredible player) and pick up Nabi as a free signing. I packed my team with some ageing stars near retirement who will only play a few games this season - Demichelis (been great so far), Marquez and Toure (both put in reserves), Drogba (occasional substitute), Agustien (terrible) and Arteta (excellent). I intend to keep just Demichelis and Arteta after season end.

Started off by beating Liverpool 1-0 at home and winning 2-1 at St James', then got a 0-0 draw at WHL. Lost my next two games and then went on an amazing run of 10 points in 4 games including two away wins at Southampton and Crystal Palace. I have a good chance of staying up this season and I will be hoping for a £10m transfer budget if I do.

Been absolutely rocking it with Crewe this time around, despite my youth intakes & 18 year old free transfers rules. I've won most everything. Just don't have the squad depth to challenge for the league when having long cup runs.

22/23 season, had my first foray into the CL, and just went the bloody whole way and won it.

This is my star player, a local lad from Crewe(summer 2019 intake)...

Sean Murray is a great midfielder. So it's now Murray, Layun, Forestieri, Deeney, Weimann and Angella I intend to build on. As I've said, if they can give me £10m to spend and acquire 3-4 new players I might be aiming for Europe at some point and should definitely have PL safety.

I've just managed to win the league and CL with Mallorca in season 23/24. I need a new keeper but they're like gold dust to find.

My youth facilities, junior coaching and youth scouting are all near the best they can be, yet all I get in my youth intake is fodder.

This game is fecking incredible. Took Watford from Championship to Premier League, got off to an incredible start and ended up in top 4 after 15 games with a few brilliant results. Lost 3 games in a row and now the board has given me ultimatum - either I win the next game or I'm sacked. feck off.

Just save the game a day before the youth intake and load until you get a few good uns :wenger:

I cannot believe what's happening to my Watford. Virtually no transfer budget, I had to rely on leftovers from the big clubs (Boyata for £200k, Rekik for £1m, Jenkinson for £3m) plus one talented youngster signed for a record fee (Cousins from Charlton) plus free transfers to carry me. Finished in respectable 10th position in my first season after promotion (it might have been 9th), then started second season very well but I have thought up until now that it was just a purple patch. After 28 games I sit in 2nd position with 60 points, 9 points ahead of 5th Manchester City. Now I won't win the league because Chelsea are still miles ahead but there's a good chance I will make Europe and I haven't been seriously thinking about CL qualification up until now but I might need to start now - 10 games isn't much and I have some winnable home games, I reckon 5 wins will do this and to be in Champions League with a team whose best players is Troy Deeney would be fecking something.

Playing 352:

GK: Gomes
DC: Angella
DC: Jenkinson
DC: Boyata/Rekik
RWB: Paredes
LWB: Layun
MC: Murray
MC: Cousins
AMC: Forestieri
FC: Weimann
FC: Deeney

Yes, I have managed to get Watford to Champions League in my third season at the club! Third place finish with 73 points with a squad mostly made up with big club rejects and free transfers.

Funnily, Forestieri still wants to leave because he's found out about West Ham interest and wants to go to a bigger club. West Ham aren't even in Europe. I will sell him but only if they offer his market value - £7m. I have already bought 25-year old Adrian Gonzalez from Racing for £4m to replace him and he's done very well so I will be more than happy to offload him.

I got Joe Gomez to replace departing Rekik in defence (much better player, the same price I got for Rekik), Fredericks (been poor so far, Paredes is better) and Danny Rose (as good as Layun which is great, and Layun cannot keep playing 45 games a season). I gor Jermaine Anderson into midfield as well. I have some money remaining but I don't think anyone wants to join me so I loaned Pereira and Pozo but they will be behind Gonzalez and Weimann because they're not mine.

Started second season reasonably well, 7th place after 10 games although the board are pissed off because they predictably raised their expectations and expect miracles from a team on a £4m budget. Beat Fenerbahce in my CL debut 2-0 at home, lost marginally at Dortmund (2-1) and then got a good draw at home to Juventus (1-1). Very tough group but I think I might make 3rd or even 2nd.

First ever time I've assembled Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar as a front 3. It's quite a sight. Just beat Tottenham 11-2

I don't think I'd carry on with that game if they gave me that much, takes the fun out of it IMO.

I'm struggling to play my game because my board gave me €60 Million to spend

I loved being broke and having to scrimp and save and take chances on players. I can literally just go and buy who I want now.

Spend it all!

That ridiculous sum reminds me that I tried signing Ricardo Rodriguez after the second season with Newcastle...He wanted 325k a week. I fecked that deal off sharpish.
That's daft wages for a full back unless he's some kind of fullback god, which Rodriguez isn't...
How did you do that? That's sick!

What the feck? How many season in are you and what did you do?
2026/7 season. How I done it was by only using a combination of youth intake players and 18 and under players on bosmans. First few seasons in the Prem my wages were so low I was making 90m+ profits, and player sales on top of that.

Why? Just because you have the money doesn't mean you have to spend it. My star player is on 110kpw, one of only 3 above 50kpw, and I've yet to pay a transfer fee for a player.
