Gaming Football Manager 2015

They should be fine in the U-19's.

If you really want to fast track one or two of them though, sit them on your first team bench, and give them minutes most weeks. Apparently it has to be at least 15, I always give them 20-25 mins. Starts in weak cup ties and the like.

Well, what a shit couple of games, Lost 1-0 in the cup, folowed by a 1-0 defeat by atletico at Old trafford to put me out on Agg 1-0 and despite having 23 shots on target! then throwing away a 2-0 lead away to spurs in the league in the last 7 minutes to allow chelsea to open up a four point lead with a game in hand. amazing.

Been doing great at West Brom, first season I finished 6th in the league, 2nd season I finished 7th but only because I gave up on the league when I saw a realistic chance of winning Europa League - which I lost in the final against City (1-0). I'm playing a very defensive brand of football, often grinding out 1-0s but I love it, I've caused so many upsets - I've already won at Anfield (twice), Emirates, Goodison and WHL and drew at Etihad and Old Trafford, beating both Man City and Man Utd at home as well.

I've built my team around Berahino, buying some players from the relegated teams - Zaha, Keane, Trippier, Bolasie, loaning a few players in second season (Gauld, Hojbjerg, Can) and signing some fringe players from better sides (Santon, Blackett, Thorpe, Vorm). It's a very cheap side but you wouldn't guess by results at all.

The goal is still to win Europa League. I will have to replace loanees and I don't really have the money to do so but I'll probably have a look at free agents and some cheap players.

GK: Vorm
DR: Trippier
DC: Keane
DC: Dawson
DL: Santon
MR: Zaha
MC: Hughes
MC: NEW DM
MC: NEW MC
ML: Bolasie
FC: Berahino

EDIT: Got four freebies: Gibson, Nilmar, Dani Alves and Caceres, all on small wages. I've sold Arfield, Thorpe and want to sell Ideye to generate more money for new signings but there are very few interesting players on the market unfortunately.

Started in Ireland, with Galway United, won the 2nd div. in my first season, and smashing the Irish Premier in my 2nd.

Will probably move on after another year or two.
Won the league and cup in the 2nd, moved on to Falkirk in the Scottish Championship, won that and now in the Scottish Premier for 16/17.

Oops! Always wondered what happens when you use that additional comments box.

Signed Danny Guthrie on a free for Örebro in Allsvenskan (Swedish prem.). 20 minutes in to his first game he breaks his leg and is out for 7 months, great.

Leading up to ye olde title clincher, against Celtic, two key players suspended. Four get injured days before it, including my starting keeper.

4-4 draw, on to Aberdeen to try and seal the title, a draw would do, I think...

Celtic pay more wages per player than my entire wage budget, ffs.

So I decided to go for a classic save game with United and spend some big money on players for once, instead of building up young players.

I won the league in the first season fairly comfortably. Second season now and I was second after 12 games behind Chelsea and the game against Chelsea comes up and then this happened:

Going to give Wolfsburg a go, got a nice 4-4-1-1 tactic which should suit De Bruyne nicely.

Signed a 34 year old Ronaldo from Madrid for £7.5m. Only signed him as a sentimental "let's give him one last season at United" thing, and he's gone and scored 18 goals in 19 games.

My team, in November 2019, is:

GK: Jeronimo Rulli (free from R. Sociedad), Vanja Milinkovic Savic, plus a regen called William Hamilton (£9.75m from Wolves, sadly looking like a waste of money)

RB: Rafael, John Stones (£14.75m from Everton, getting lots of games due to Rafael being a sicknote)

CB: Phil Jones, Eder Alvarez Balanta (£16.75m from River), Marcos Rojo, Pablo Quinteros (regen, £5m from River), Lorenzo Leoni (£1.5m from Perugia, currently on loan at Sampdoria)

LB: David Alaba (£50m from Bayern), Luke Shaw

DM: William Carvalho (£15m from Sporting), Antonis Dimosthenous (regen, £2.6m from APOEL)

CM: Paul Pogba (£82m from Juventus), Koke (£64m from Atletico), Wallyson (£7m from Corinthians), Joshua Onomah (£11m from Tottenham)

AMC: Isco (£47m from Real Madrid), Mamadu Marques (regen, £15m from Academica -probably not going to live up to that price tag), Adnan Januzaj

ST: Cristiano Ronaldo, Alberto Mario (regen, £1.4m from Vitoria, currently on loan at Freiburg), Luka Jovic (£900k from Red Star), Carlos (£40m from Monaco)

I always start these games telling myself I'm going to be sensible, and then I always go "POGBA FOR £82M? YES."

Edit: Also, I always let the numbers be auto-picked, and for some reason my #9 is Carvalho. How do I fire the man in charge of these decisions?

Found a perfect place to coach - Hamburg. Not much money, some decent players who can be a core (Rajkovic, Ostrzolek, Diekmeier, Adler, Tah, Lasogga, Muller, and in the first season Behrami and a few very good loanees). Only signed Kimmich on a permanent basis (£5.5m) and brought a few loanees, managed to finish 4th in my first season with a brilliant defensvie record, I wasn't far off 2nd actually but slowed down towards the end of season.

I lost all my loaness in second season (Ocampos, Marquinhos, Holtby) and let go a few older players so I was left with only 18 team members at the start of second season so I went on a spending spree and brought some incredible bargains in - Bobadilla (£2m), Marin (£3m), Arnautovic (£4m), Praet (£4m), vanden Borre (£1.5m), Kirch (free), Baumgartlinger (free), Sebastian Larsson (£2m), Simone Pepe (free).

I beat Sporting in CL playoff (0-0 at home, 2-0 win away) and got drawn into the group of death - Real Madrid, Liverpool, CSKA Moscow. So far - 2-0 win at Bernabeu, 2-0 win at home versus CSKA and 2-1 win at home against Liverpool. 9 points and I only need one more point to secure progress. Good performance in the league as well, 3rd after 9 games and not far off first place although I know well that Bayern cannot be beaten to a title and I will be looking for a top 4 finish. Defensive brilliance again, only 5 goals conceded so far.

Setting up offensively away from home and defensively at home is he best way to approach European competition. Winning away is actually easier.

Daniele Rugani is fantastic. Better than Balanta in my save (and I have both!). Will cost you around £30m to prise him away from Juve, and he's a bit raw when he comes in. But his stats on my save are out of this world.

Now that I've finished exams I'm gonna get this. Only problem is that it's £29.99 on steam. Anyone know when they usually discount it or alternative cheaper places to get it from?

haha - agree with you....it took a lot for me to finally give it up....then I went to FM2007 which is awesome....and currently on FM2014 (I just can't get into FM2015). Try FM2014.

Just seen something for the 1st time, in management with Wolfsburg and just finished the 1st season. I'm subscribed to Derby and United, Derby just received £295k from the league as a distribution from the fine imposed on Bolton due to failing FFP.

"What is your reaction to Chris Powell marking out Cristiano Ronaldo as Man Utd's so called 'weak link' ahead of the upcoming match?"

He's only got the 55 goals in 57 games. I think poor Chris is broken :(

Edit: Ronaldo scored a hat-trick against Powell's West Ham. Silly Chris.

I'm doing that steamfc challenge, seems a bit easy to buy the team, I only spent 400m of it. That said with conditionals on the sales it's probably gonna cost the club about 200mil next season :D

What is it? I kinda wanna give 4411 a go but I can never properly get formations with wide players to work.

Just got this.

Where's the best place to get name fixes, facepacks and logos from?

Is there any level of bias in this game towards bigger teams? In the last 3 meetings with Barca at the Nou Camp they've had 5 penalties, I think 3 of which were described as "harsh" and the commentator says "surely X took a dive there". It's bullshit.

City are running some sort of striker racket. They also have Volland, but he's down as a winger.

Ok, so finally getting around to updating on my Leicester save.

First season, no transfers in, Wes Morgan the only notable player out.

Crap in the cup competitions, but I was fine with that...really wanted to focus on the league and getting a solid position to build on.

Ended up finishing in 3rd position, behind Chelsea (1st) and United. Qualifying for the Champions League was way beyond what I was really expecting in the first season.

Knockaert and Kramaric were my big players first season, and are probably my best two this season as well.

Brought in 7 players in the off season to try and compete domestically and not be a complete embarrassment in Europe.

Spent 13m on Mokotjo, Stambouli, Bernardo Silva, Walter Kannemann, Gael Kakuta, a regen Jason Cecil, and Jon Flanagan (Flano for the RAWK lads)

Just finishing up pre season...hoping the draw in the Champions League is kind :)

How the heck did you manage you qualify for the CL with a relegation favourite?
