Gaming Football Manager 2015

This would be great, would make it a hell of a lot more interesting.

I also think tactic trends would be a massive improvement. If a team (including the player's team) is successful, other teams should start trying to copy their style. If a team finds an effective way of winning against the dominant style, other teams should follow that too. You'd have to keep developing and adjusting your tactics over the years in response to the changing teams around you, just like Fergie did in real life.
It does, to an extent.

I used to notice it a lot in 14, if you win a lot with odd formations, other teams will try and build a version of your tactic.

Yeah I've noticed it a couple of times, but it's really weak and doesn't seem to be particularly well made, should be a lot stronger imo. :)

Should it though?

I haven't really noticed a situation in real life where a teams successful system is copied by other teams also getting great results.

Perhaps a system to represent shifting trends, but then you'd have a massive amount of people complaining that their tactics stop working.

Yeah that's what I meant, the way tactics shift over time is really interesting, and would keep things interesting. As it is, if you hit on a winning formula (which isn't that hard), then you never have to change a thing and you'll always have a good chance of winning. It'd be awesome if that wasn't possible, and you'd have to change your tactics over time.

Ideally it'd be an option you could toggle when you're starting a save, that way nobody would lose out. :)

Yeah, and then you have the added boredom of just cherrypicking the next group of wunderkids that are close enough to the current crop to fit your tactic.

Tactical shifting sands would be much more interesting.

The bigger problem is that it's just far too easy to get utterly minted. Just pick a team in Italy, spend 2 seasons there, and never mind the dough you're rolling in, watch Juve, Pogba on 200kpw, if not more, and constantly spending 100-200m, picking up the likes of Januzaj, and all kinds of other world class players. Something that just kills immersion. Five good years can have a League One side(Bradford City in my case) as the richest club in the world.

Yeah it's so easy to build an insane team after the wonderkids start appearing. It'd be cool to be able to set restrictions in-game (like the Basque restriction for Bilbao), since that way you wouldn't even be able to give in to temptation. But that removes part of the fun I guess. Do they still have the full database editor thing? Might see if I can get that working - United only allowed English players would be interesting...

Yeah that's over the top as well. It's probably at its worst with United, even with our debts you get £200m to spend each summer - can't imagine what it'd be like after playing a decade or so with no debt remaining. Shame really, since that's a part of the game that I really enjoy. :/

Yeah, they still have the editor, I messed with it a bit, but you can't use custom databases in Classic, which I prefer.

Cool, will have a go at that then!

I've tried Classic a couple of times but just can't get into it, not sure why really.

Everyone has different tastes.

I just like the speed, and lack of annoying press conferences and player chats, especially this year as the youth development it closer to full FM, and they made a dark skin for it(though I modded it to suit).

Yeah, I'd love those aspects, but I think there was just too much taken away from elsewhere. Would've been great if you could customise which bits and pieces were included or not, but I guess that'd be a massive amount of work. :/

Yeah, a customizable system would be brilliant, I'd imagine it's to much of an overhaul on a successful as is game, though.

Does anyone play on the Ipad. Just got to the Championship with Cambridge in my 4th season.

You don't have to start a new save for downloaded graphics to work, right?

PSG just popped up with a 60 million bid for my regen keeper. He is class but he's only worth 15 mill and I haven't had any previous bids for him. Stupid feckers.

First act as new United manager: Extending de Gea's contract until 2019.

Bring it on Perez, you fecker.

First ever time on an FM game, I'd managed to reach 10 years with one club, then my laptop dies completely on me  had to use a spare laptop and re install to find my save isn't in the steam cloud

Sacked as Villareal manager after a takeover. Don't think that's ever happened to me before, I'm gutted. I really wanted to take them to glory, had a few good finishes in 3rd and 4th but the new board want their own man, it'll be interesting to see who they appoint. I was hoping to go for the United job, but they've just given it.. to Tim Sherwood.

Wanted to start another save with United, waiting for LFCMarshall to release his latest update before doing so. Got a few weeks to wait so going to give Derby another go in the meantime.

Scrap that, thinking Inter Milan. Rebuild the team an sort out the horrific finances.

Seen him mentioned numerous times here. What does he do with the DB?

I see. So one would need to start a new save for it. Does the DB not get updated on Steam automatically once the transfer window shuts?
No, SI provide one transfer update generally (January) as the game comes out after the summer window. All other changes have to be ascertained from elsewhere, LFC is generally the best one to keep the game fully up to date.

Can the LFC update keep the game up to date if i have an older FM.

Why do i always seem to get brutal fixtures around champions league knock out time? Liverpool Home, Atletic away, City home, Newcastle away, chelsea away, hull away (fa cup), Atlectio home, Spurs away.

Always happens, or when you get a top team from your league in the league, Europe, and the cup all in the same few weeks.

Here, you only have to play Juventus the 5 times, and we'll chuck a Napoli in to give you a break.

Ok, so finally getting around to updating on my Leicester save.

First season, no transfers in, Wes Morgan the only notable player out.

Crap in the cup competitions, but I was fine with that...really wanted to focus on the league and getting a solid position to build on.

Ended up finishing in 3rd position, behind Chelsea (1st) and United. Qualifying for the Champions League was way beyond what I was really expecting in the first season.

Knockaert and Kramaric were my big players first season, and are probably my best two this season as well.

Brought in 7 players in the off season to try and compete domestically and not be a complete embarrassment in Europe.

Spent 13m on Mokotjo, Stambouli, Bernardo Silva, Walter Kannemann, Gael Kakuta, a regen Jason Cecil, and Jon Flanagan (Flano for the RAWK lads)

Just finishing up pre season...hoping the draw in the Champions League is kind :)

I see. Would need to start a new save though if I want it, currently on a long term save with a club in the German 3rd Div.

Moko, Stambo, Berno, Kanno, Kako, Ceco, and Flano....

If I have some very talented players in my U19's, is it best to leave them in there if I've got good youth coaches or to move them to the senior squad, allow them to train with the senior players/get coaches by senior coaches but make them eligible for 90 minutes for U19 games?

Second season with United. Brought in Leon Goretzka and Daniele Rugani. Won the Premiership quite easily, as well as the League cup. In Europe, narrowly lost out to Bayern in the semis.

Third season - I've brought in John Stones, Kevin Strootman and Hirving Lozano. Looking to add the CL to my resume.
