Last season he was out for the first three months with a torn hamstring, and then two games after coming back he did it again for another three months. Took the piss.

From looking at the screenshot, I get a certain feeling that @Earthquake will have the money, could be just me though.

Vilhena is an absolute beast in this years edition! How much did he cost you? Got him for a measly 7 million which was an absolute bargain.

I'm going to start another United save either tonight or tomorrow.

16m in 17/18 which was cheap enough anyway, especially as he had reached full development, he's ridiculous.

I did, the sign on and agent fees were about the same as yourself, maybe a little more. I had no choice though, as I needed to bring his wage demands down to something my board would accept.

What was funny was, Pogba I battled with ever increasing agent demands to cut the asked for 350kpw down to 275. Neymar, took two pitches of 250kpw and he happy accepted with no boost in agent/sign on fees.

I see. I got him around the same wage. 240-250k. 13mil agent fee. 10-11mil signing on fee.
 
Hmm.... Might have to sell Vilhena and JWP. While the club has a balance of 100m, and my budgets are massive. I forgot to factor in the new Stadium that's being built.

Currently projected to end the season at -88m, probably won't deterioration that much, it never does, but probably should keep an eye on it. Still, pretty comfortable with a midfield triangle of Pogba and Romero in front of Dong and I have plenty of talent to call up from the reserves.

On the other hand, Messi would join me for 20m and 250k a week.......

Maybe I should try and cash in on Sterling, he's been relegated to rotation for Neymar, while Januzaj has owned the other wing.
 
Why the feck is Balotelli always so overrated on FM? cnut has 38 goals and 13 assists in 34 games for Pool. 9+ average rating in the 8 games in 2nd season, 7.6 avg rating in the 1st season. Ridiculous.
 
Scrapped my plans with United, determined to stick to a save with...Atletico.

Only couple of games in but yeah. Beat Madrid in the Super Cup so a good start.

Plenty of quality and a good chunk of potential/cash out on loan for the 2nd season.

I am having my usual issues. Looking at the teams in Spain and struggling to decide. I thought I was going to go for Atletico but Bilbao, Malaga, Valencia, Sevilla and Villarreal all look interesting as well. I could be here a while.

Sassuolo's stadium holds 4008 people, they had to groundshare with Reggina, and eventually their owner bought it, 30 miles away in a different town.
 
I opted for Bilbao. The superb youth facilities swung it for me.

Edit: Changed my mind. I didn't know about the Basque player policy. I don't even know what Basque player is :lol:

Gone for Atletico.

I started a new save with Arsenal a couple of days ago, and downloaded a recommended tactic just to try it out.
It was highly rated on an earlier patch so i figured the changes this late couldn't be that big to the game-simulator.
Anyway, i was displeased with the way my players acted on the pitch and decided that I'd try over the next few easy fixtures to make something more fitting to my players, and my god this thing seems to be working.

My first match after being done tweeking ended 6-0 against Liverpool, and my second was an 8-1 match against Manchester City (whom I had won against and drawn once before this tie), with Sanchez bagging 5 goals against them.

If this thing goes on, it might be the best tactic I've come up with.
Sadly getting good a good striker that isn't a midget to fit into the system will be hard, even if Barbosa currently is rocking 16 goals & 3 assists in 15+6 games.
Depending completely on an 18-year old striker from south-America just doesn't sit right with me.
My problem is now finding another one who can figure in his place (false-nine of sort), and I would love for that person to also be able to work in Depays role as the inside-forward.

The closest one I can think of is Bernard from Shakthar who, if going by stats alone is good enough, but I think his 168cm might be a bit too small. I'd like the size to be at least 175 with some aerial abilities (not necessarily a great aerial threat, but some would help).
Anyone with a good recommendation?
Dybala & Lacazette might be good alternatives when I give it another thought...

That's pretty much every good player that Schalke have, so going to be a fun start to the season!
Budget isn't even big enough to get anyone in on loan to cover either.

This FM is much more detailed about injuries. You need to take very good care that players dont get overworked during training. Also, players lacking match fitness need to be bedded in gradually to prevent them getting injured again
