Sterling joined Man Utd on my save. He wants to leave after 6 months.

I feel bad for Holtby, was my starting attacking mid at Sevilla for three seasons until I dropped him because he wasn't Spanish. Even though he was on the verge of becoming a legend at the club.

After a year in the reserves he joined Burnley before the end of the season. Two seasons later as Burnley have suffered back to back relegations, he's plying his trade in League 1. Became an icon at Burnley though.

I was just drawing 4-4 against Man United. Then, Strootman scores an own goal on the 92nd minute. From a corner, Luke Shaw smashes a clearance into Strootmans back and it trickles in.

As I'm still celebrating, United take the kick off, Rooney runs down the right, plays in an early cross. My keeper, Butland, pushes the cross onto the post (under no pressure whatsoever). It bounces off the post into Butland again, and rolls in.

Just played Dortmund in the CL Semi and Piszczek was glowing for the entire game.

Not sure. I lost though and now have to pull it back in the second leg.

Started unemployed and took over a struggling Bristol Rovers, some astute loans, couple nice free teansfers, slashed 3K off of the wage bill, a parental agreement with Leeds some good friendlies in pre-season for a bit more cash. They cut my wage budget by a further 6k leaving me 4K over.

Resign.

Currently doing well at Stockport, Conference North in season 2.

Had Chelsea in the CL Final again and managed to win on pens with Varane scoring the winning one. Weirdly I still feel motivated to carry on with United despite winning pretty much everything.

Anyone play this on Ubuntu? Do you need to install some emulator or something?. Please bear in mind that I need to do this for reporting purpose, so I don't paid Steam to get the game

I'm just into the 2nd season and its ridiculously boring. Really want to win the CL before I quit but I don't see myself putting another season here as of now.

You must be disappointed not to have won the League Cup. Bet that season feels like a second-rate achievement.

So nearing the end of my 1st season with Atletico, cup final against Barcelona. My team is flying, just behind them in the league with 2 to play. Conceded just 33 goals in the 36 league games....then this happens. Don't think I've ever conceded as many goals in a game, players wouldn't tackle they was stray backpasses and lucky bounces everywhere.

Screams realism at times, really pisses me off when it just decides to chuck all logic out the window.

To make that result all the stranger, just played Barcelona a few days later in the league.

Atletico 3-1 Barcelona

Which means if I win away to Granada on the last day of the season, the league is mine. Not counting my chickens yet, wouldn't be surprised of a shock loss to hand it back to Barcelona.

Barcelona wiped the floor with Deportivo, thrashing them 8-0. Title is coming to the Vicente Calderon though as goals from Griezmann and Miranda gave us a comfortable 2-0 win!

Will post up a detailed season report later.

Can anyone PM a torrent for this game? Seems pretty late to buy the game seeing as FM16 should be coming out soon.

Atletico Madrid - 2014/2015 Update

Decided to take over Atletico as my long term save until the new game is released, hoping to topple Barcelona and Madrid and make them a super power in football.

Squad

Luckily enough the team has a good set of players with a few world class players such as Koke, Griezmann, Miranda & Oblak. Team for the season was as below:

GK - Oblak/Moya

LB - Siqueira/Ansaldi
CB - Miranda/Gimenez
CB - Godin/Gimenez
RB - Juanfran/Gamez

DM - Saul/Mario Suarez
CM - Koke/Gabi
CM - Arda Turan/Garcia

LF - Depay/Correa
CF - Mandzukic/Torres
RF - Griezmann/Jimenez

Transfers

Only play I brought for the season was Memphis Depay, didn't have much of a budget so it's mainly being paid through installments. Only other outlay was making Ansaldi's loan permanent as he had a bargain fee of £3m built into the loan agreement and he can play both left and right back. Got a lot of players out on loan due to come back so will filter through and see who needs selling. Need the board to up my money retention rate mind as they dropped it to 30% due to the debt near the end of the season.

Incoming - Depay - £25m, Ansaldi - £3m
Outgoing - Jimenez - £2.9m, Tiago - £750,000, Hector - Loan, Lucas - Loan.

Domestic Cups/Europe

First up was the Spanish Super Cup between myself and neighbours Real, was hoping for a strong defensive display at the Bernabeu and then attack them at home. Didn't need to worry as won the 1st leg away 1-4 and then proceeded to add some extra gloss in the 2nd leg winning 3-0 for a 7-1 overall win to start the season on the front foot.

Only other domestic cup was the Spanish Cup which was another strong showing for me, the 1st game for me was a 17-1 victory against minnows Eldense followed by wins against Villarreal, Sociedad and Valencia. This led me to the final against Barcelona where the team utterly capitulated conceding 10 and only scoring 3 at the other end!

The European campaign was one of stuttering disappointment. Was grouped with Stromsgodset, Juventus & Liverpool. After 3 wins (Strom x2, Juventus), 2 draws (Liverpool x2) and a loss against Juventus I finished 2nd in the group. In the first round I got drawn against French giants PSG and dispatched them comfortably 7-4 on aggregate. This is where my progression came to an abrupt end against Man City. They were there for the taking with a somewhat weakened team in both legs, 1st leg decided by a long kick from Hart for Aguero to score quickly followed by Miranda receiving a straight red. The next 70 minutes was me clinging on for the 2nd leg. They again scored early on and after some good pressure I equalised through Mandzukic, more good work was then undone by Ansaldi as he hacked someone down in the area and they scored to make it 3-1 on aggregate. A 90th minute equaliser on the night from Gimenez wasn't enough to stop me from making an early exit from the competition.

League

By far the best competition out of the lot for me, went through the season like a freight train. Kept on Barcelona's coat tails the whole season and when my chance came on the penultimate game I overtook them to the title for Atletico's 2nd year running. Surprisingly Madrid came 4th an were no where near despite Ronaldo still posting insane stats along with Messi.

I bought a left winger from Cruzeiro for £8m and although he's got amazing stats I quickly realised he's never going to play ahead of Depay and isn't happy being second choice. I just sold him to PSG the next season for £70m. What a profit!

Check skidrows. He does them every year I think. FM16 is a long way off btw.

When I was looking on FMScout at affiliate clubs, RC Lens were highly recommended for their youth, might be worth giving them a shot.

Took over my hometown team in the Swedish Premier Division (Allsvenskan), Örebro SK. Had fairly low expectations and was hoping I could clinch a Europa League spot, the boards goal was mid-table finish. The season has been going great however, I've signed a few players on free transfer, sold a few players who wanted to leave and since I'm pretty much broke I had to sell some players anyway. My free transfers have delievered though, and replaced my departures very well. I signed a young Finnish striker, and he's been banging them in. My new rapid left winger has been good all season, as well as my new experienced right back.

With 2 games to go, I had a very winnable home game left, and also an away game to second placed Malmö. I won my home game 5-0, but Malmö had at that point 2 games in hand, 5 points behind me, before our game was to be played. They however managed to lose both games which meant I won the league without even needing to get a point in the last game. It's probably my biggest achievement in this years FM so really happy about that!

The hard part begins now though, I definitely need to sign some players for next season, a new left back, a new central midfielder and add some depth. Since the season in Sweden starts in April and lasts until October, Champions League qualification (2nd round for winning Allsvenskan) doesn't start for quite some time. I'm also afraid of losing my best players to other clubs, but I'm hoping that CL qualification might make me keep some players.

Just got into the January transfer window of my 2nd season, these are the stats for Depay so far...

League

Appearances: 14(2)
Goals: 19
Assists: 13

Cups

Appearances: 9
Goals: 6
Assists: 7

I remember similar when I was playing in Norway, once we became CL regulars, the amount of friendlies needed in February to April was maddening.

Found an amazing regen striker playing for Sporting but he would cost me about £50m according to scout reports and I had no money left. Two weeks later in mid November the board inform me they're injecting £55m into the transfer budget. He joins in Jan :D

Do you ever have it where you buy so many players for the future that you forget about them? I just took a look at my reserves and saw a 17 year old attacking midfielder who has 4 star potential. Gave him his debut in a CL match and he got 3 assists. Afterwards it says I bought him from Charlton for £3m two years ago. No recollection of that, thought he came up through the youth.

Never forget, but often overfill my youth ranks and when they develop I haven't room in the first team so end up selling, and refilling youth ranks all the time.
