That Sunday, twenty minutes into the game, Romario has his brace already. He goes up to Cruyff and asks to be subbed off.

In the real world midfields matter. In FM I'd like to think they do. It is only in caf drafts that John Pantsil and Ecstatic's alter ego can single-handedly stop <unpicked>, <unpicked> and <unpicked>.

Exactly my thoughts as far as DM is concerned. Worried that trailing from the start he will wind up being used as a defender, but couldn't see past him.

I remember reading something about that Grande Torino side and its really a double shame about the crash and then also just that era was right before world coverage and TV really kept them in the shadows over years.

And its not so much he is any higher rated than others, just that he starts the game in his prime like Bican so year 1 they are strongest relatively and probably on some intangibles than say a 18 year old Messi who is going to need some years to really reach his top potential. Just different strategies really.
