It's an All-Time draft with a twist that will bring forth new names (I think Valentino was picked just once before).

While having a sim removes the incentive to profile/big up your man, it also removes the bias and/or apprehension and cynicism.
 
I see @Igor Drefljak is going all out for the first season.

Speaking of @oneniltothearsenal, how have you dealt with CL/Europa? Will some teams take part from season 1 or 2 or not at all? (cue exodus to beloved clubs of origin to play CL football).

Biggest problem for me is. All players are natural in 3 or 4 positions, so you just don't know how they will be set up :lol:

It will likely be something like the modern FM experiment where the top 4 will qualify from England for CL and then another 2-3 for EL since I am basing the RedCafe league in England.

Since you lot will only draft 500 and the database has over 2700 classic players, there will still be some strong teams most likely for the CL and even EL

My point is the first year 6-7 teams will have midweek football and the other 13-14 won't. Or am I wrong?

I *think* no one will have European football the first year.

This is the type of database question I am working out while you are all drafting. Maybe @Macern @Damien @spontaneus1 might know right away?
 
The CL will be dogshit anyway. Every major team will have been destroyed by the time we are done, cue massive exodus of South American and Eastern European players during the transfer window.
 
I'd rather just a domestic cup between us all in addition to the league. No Europe.

As onenil said, we'll draft 500 players, the database have 2700 more (all legends, not some Paintsils). It would be definitely interesting to see them perform.

13 picks in the last 24 hours: if we succeed in keeping the rhythm, the drafting process will finish on August 23rd hopefully :D
 
We definitely need to speed it up. Especially in the first rounds — come on, guys, do you really need to research your Charltons and Scireas?

According to my calculations, Invictus will submit a player on Thursday morning. Good! He has the time to find a good player with more than 35 international caps.
