I gather I either went into administration or Fritz Walter retired (see I lost Romario too).

@BeforeKeanetherewasRobson provides further evidence you just have to play the oppo off the park and ignore "midfield generals"

Scholes and Zidane in midfield, with Laudrup, Savicevic and De Bruyne behind Romario.

I like this, was having trouble choosing players I want to use when I set this up. Feck defending.
 
Why do @NM guys have so few appearances between them? Weird.

@mazhar13 's side is just brilliant, how did they not perform better I don't know. Although the trend seems to be to play at least one number 10 in midfield as an addition to a proper number 10 further forward.

The list of my managers is quite fun. My team had hired Cândido de Oliveira... and his first tenure saw my best ever results but I can't help but wonder whenever the lack of top manager was what stopped my side from reaching its peak height.

Tony Stockdale though, what a legend. Twice got the job as an interim manager before taking the club at its lowest, when everything seemed lost and resurrecting it from the dead.

Adie Webb seems to be the ultimate fill-in the void man, getting an interim job an incredible 4 times — twice at Bikini Bottoms & twice at @Invictus @Ecstatic 's team, never to be trusted fully though.

@oneniltothearsenal can't thank you enough, it was immensely enjoyable even though in a slightly masochistic way.

Never worked how I expected but certainly got a few pointers to now go, set it up and enjoy it.

By the way, the Eastern European love-in isn't the creator but some random Uruguayan by the nickname Charruan fiddling with PES Stats and ladders. Have to get him on the case with Enzo's lack of mentality/determination :rolleyes:
 
This was such an incredible sim. I had fun following it despite my team not doing so well in the end. My team had some of the best individual performers around, but the whole team just didn't seem to click when it mattered. Sad, but oh well.

The real tragedy is @Moby / @Raees . How their team managed to be low for so long is such a huge mystery.

Appreciate the thanks. This was super fun to simulate and watch the matches. I learned a lot and if, in 3-4 years, I decide to run another one it will most likely be with the latest match engine available and probably tweaking the Charruan PA to be more in line with our consensus here!

Great job drafting everyone.
