He can’t play this game or most good games. Doesn’t have a ps5. Probably just bored from having nothing to do. Leave him be.

Right so even though I got this game 2 days before release I only just started playing today. Sounds like from the feedback here that the Queen's Blood game is worth a whirl then.
I think this game is going to take me 200 hours. I'm in Kalm and I just don't want to leave. The music and the reimagining of the place is keeping me here.

Do you guys use japanese or english voice acting? I use Japanese with English subs, but it frustrates me i can't understand what they said in battle.
Haven't been able to play all weekend as we were away. Been itching to get back into it.
Where you upto? I’m midway through Chapter 8 now as I’ve been focusing on the story and less on the side quests, but gonna play tonight and focus on the intel/side quests etc
I'm still around the end of Chapter 4! Hopefully there are some upcoming Chapters which are like 3 so I can make some good progress tonight.
For the first game I did English voices for my normal run then Japanese voices for the hard run. Probably will do the same for this.
There's a really fecking annoying voice actor who is the one of the card game opponents in Kalm and who also voices one of the side quest guys in Kalm at the bar. My god I want to kill the cnut.

I am at the point where you escape on the expressway and run into Seph. How much of this is left? I need to finish it and start with Rebirth.
You're basically at the end but the Yuffie DLC is well worth playing too. Can fly through it in 4-6 hours.

Also, I understand why they tried what they did with FF 16 but this model is the way to go with any new franchise. It works so well with modern gaming but carrying on the FF tradition.

The entire upper Junon part was amazing as well. I love it when Final Fantasy just embraces that it's ridiculous.
Ten hours in and I'm still on chapter 2. I'm milking this motherfecker dry.
I'm not sure about the ragdoll physics for random furniture. Bit jarring to Segway a terrace into the street.
I think some of minigames are well-made but many side quests are just generic fetchquests.
All this effort just to ride a bird. I had to hide behind a wagon, distract her by throwing a rock and then sneak up and take her from behind.

I always complete the side quests for item rewards and materia etc. Plus some of them have good storytelling aspects, unlike the ones from part 1 which added nothing to the overall experience. What's taken more of my time is doing all the map stuff which overall has been quite rewarding and enjoyable. They've spent a lot of time recreating this world and I'm not just going to skip through it.
I played for about 7 hours straight yesterday evening until 2am
Its been a long time since I sank that many hours in one day into a game.
Im not on chapter 2 yet. This game is right up my alley
