FIFA World Cup 2010

First match online... went up 3-1 as Switzerland over some tard playing as Spain and they quit. I'm not even that good
 
I always choose Italy or Turkey tbh...

Hate playing with teams like Spain and/or France who are just really pace and power...not to mention have players in them who I cant stand.lol.. .

But always fun playing with Italy or Turkey...

Nothing wrong with those choices compared to everything else I've played so far. 3 matches... Spain, Brazil, France. :rolleyes:
 
how do you score freekicks, on fifa 10 id score 1 in every 3 or so freekicks, on this i havent scored 1 yet
 
Free kicks are more sensitive in this one I've noticed, don't power up as much as FIFA 10 is the only advice I have.
 
This still crashes on me every day, I think im going to just sell this piece of shit, EA have done feck all to help me as per

Could you give some info on the India team mate? Is it the full side with everything real/legitimate? I probably will buy it at some point, but that will be based on what the India team is like. Hopefully Sunil Chhetri has decent stats to give us a chance. Can't find much info on the India team on the game from anywhere really.
 
COD also enrages me, but this is something else. And since Billdo Preston shamelessly ducked me, I've only been playing singleplayer.

Online multiplayer will result in deaths.
 
Me & my mate played 2 player Captain Your Country tonight. I was Ashley Young and he was Gabby Agbonlahor. We qualified for the World Cup, breezed our group stage and then drew 0 - 0 with Poland in the last 16, we both converted our penalties but then followed nearly all of our players missing and the same with theirs. They hit the post 3 times when they had chances to put us out, then Robert Green saved their goalies kick and smashed one into the top corner. We beat Portugal in the next round 2 - 1 with me scoring the winner in Extra Time, knocked out Brazil on pens after a 1 - 1 draw in the semi. Played Germany in the final, nearly straight from kick off Gerrard played a normal ball up to me, but I chested it past a player outside the box and unleashed a belter on the volley that dipped over the keeper, class goal. My mate rounded it off with the 2nd on the 90th minute, good fun. I got the player of tournament.

Yep the Indian team is real in this game, all the players names are spot on and also the player stats are more or less spot on. Unsurprisingly Bhutia and Chhetri are two of our best players in the game. The Kits are also right.
 
Has anyone been Mexico on this yet? How is Hernandez?

i always go mexico if im not nigeria.

they always have accurate passes, but not the quickest.

javier isnt on there, which is shit, even after the squad update a few days ago.
 
Is it just me or is the across-the-last-defender run is terribly hard to defend against on this?

Mine just froze mid game in SP. When I quit out of game my PS3 reset. Gay.

I've already played 55 online games according to my statistics and haven't even won the virtual World Cup yet. I manage to get past the group stages almost every single time (I think I only went out twice thus far), then the first knock-out round is usually passable but quarter-finals are a trouble.

I've been playing with weaker sides so far admittedly. Today I picked Angola and Australia, made it to a quarter-final with former (lost 3-0 to Brazil) and first knock-out round with latter (4-2 loss to England). I actually find it easier to play with sides like Angola, Mali or Greece because I focus more on defence there and as a result I concede fairly few goals while converting majority of what I create.

I would have probably made it to semis for the first time yesterday with Croatia if it hadn't been for my faulty Internet connection which saw me hand out a walk-over to a Portugal team that was 3-1 down playing with 10 men after Pepe's dismissal with only 40 minutes to go. :mad:

I think I will try to win it with Croatia and Scotland tomorrow, two sides that seem solid.
 
I am 1-1-1. I was 1 nil down in my last match, came back to 2-1 up, then conceded in the 84th minute.

I took it surprisingly well.

When will you likely be on next? I'm getting not completely shit at it. Two goals from outside the box in one game. Be afraid.
 
Only played 1 demo game and couldn't notice a huge difference.

Still a few nagging issues... Goalies don't make an effort to stop the ball going for a corner... players do that crappy little interception animation which allows the ball to pass through their legs more often than not.

It's niggly things really, as a whole I love the gameplay... But I won't be buying this one... Looking forward to FIFA 11.
 
I like a lot better than Fifa 10, mainly because that stupid flaw with the pacey forwards and charging goalkeepers seems to have been factored out, and all the other stupid bugs from FIFA 10 seem to have disappeared.

It's a better game, basically, where as with FIFA 10 it seemed like they'd just taken FIFA 09, updated the transfers, made a couple of shit gameplay "improvements" and added a load of programming bugs.

I get owned online though. Did the world cup thing with Holland. I scraped through the group stage then lost about 8-3 to some guy playing as Turkey, who basically just took the piss out of me for the whole game.
 
Has anyone noticed that when you play online your defence hold a ridiculously high line? I constantly struggle defending through balls because of this.

Anyone got a way of getting round it?

I have...be so shit that you almost never have the ball outside your own half long enough for them to push up.

Is there anyway to stop your defenders from turning at about a tenth the speed of the other team's forwards? Literally every goal I've conceded has been because of this
 
Just manually run back with your defenders. Even with Puyol and Pique, both slow as shit, you rarely get caught out by a through ball. Most opponents are redundant if you stop them.

2nd match i was winning 4-0 vs brazil and he left. so 3-0 it is.

3rd match i won 17-0 against france. he went down to 8 men and started to play around.
