FIFA World Cup 2010

Get down to my level as clearly you can see my posts are full of them.

It's like you're reading something completely different. Don't think you've answered anything I've asked either.

What's your GT Ronaldo?

FrozenInHell, ps3. I have an xbox live account but don't really play on my 360 as I tend to play online more these days and I've no xbox live gold.

UT is even worse.

There are different tournaments with different squad caps, so you can basically pick what sort of team level you want to play against. I think it's excellent.

I frequently use step overs, fake shot (dummies), fake Rabonas on the wings and what ever twice sideways back is, to beat people.

I think the skills and stepovers work brilliantly on this. Not sure if they're easier than on FIFA 10 but I'm certainly using them a lot better.

Are squad updates available to include players in provisional squads (King, Carragher, J.Cole etc.)? I know they plan on an update once the final one's are announced, I just wondered.

Is this not available for download for PC? Mo disgusting torrentz?

Gutted ! Finally got to the final with Australia, only to lose 3-1 to Brazil:mad:

So, is this worth purchasing if you already have Fifa 10?

Seriously tempted from reading this thread, listening to what my brother has said about it and also having played the demo.

Just not sure I can really justify purchasing it if I already have Fifa.

Also, this online world cup thing.....does it only run for the duration of the tournament?

Yes, it is.

It will run as long as people play it.

I made it to the final, after eliminating Finland, Croatia, and Spain. My opponents in the final? Greece.

The most difficult team I have encountered thus far, is Chile. Yes, Chile. Brazil? Easy. Spain? Laughable. Chile? DIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIE.

Lost in the online World Cup final twice now :(

Both times I was Turkey, lost once to Honduras on spot kicks after an epic 4-4 draw aet, then next time lost to Brazil 3-1...Really pissing off!

I just won the World Cup with the Ivory Coast. On penalties versus France, I had two opportunities to win it with my own penalties as well but it came down to a great save from my keeper from Sagna's penalty.

Yeah. The only way I can score penalty's is by putting them down the middle. I always forget the part about how long you hold down the direction stick affecting where it goes.

Mine either go straight into the keeper's hands, or miles wide. This is the best penalty system they could come up with?

In fairness it is pretty realistic if you just play with England. I haven't won a penalty shoot-out once!

Things I cannot do in FIFA WC:

1. Take penalties.

2. Score from free kicks.

3. Score from outside the box.

4. Successfully pull off a one/two.

5. Score from a corner.

6. Pull off tricks mid game.

I will add to this list.

I was considering it too and I finally gave it a try and bought it today - I must say it is excellent and different than FIFA 10. They've improved long range shots (extremely difficult on FIFA 10, at least for me) and passing from what I've seen so far, and you can really feel the atmosphere of the World Cup. Soundtrack is brilliant as per usual too.

I just played a World Cup with a friend, we were on one team, first tried Ivory Coast but went out in group stage, then played with Serbia and lost in the final to Spain through a late fluke from Villa.

 Poor guy..lol..
tbh, except for the penalties, the rest are all much much easier to do (and work) more than FIFA 10...

Any idea where i can get this game but at a decent price, cant afford the full £40

Wohoooooooooo!

Just won the Online World Cup for the first time with ...Turkey.. never been so satisfied with my online gameplay as much as I am now..
Beat Wales, England, Italy, France, Brazil and Spain (in the final) on the way to winning it! Wow.
People trying to use power and pace with France/Brazil/Spain and I still came out on top thanks to Nihat and Tuncay Sanli:D

The one thing i can't do properly since the transition to world cup is lobs. They are nowhere near as easy to pull off this time round.

This is very true and to my liking. Lobbing the keeper was way too easy on FIFA10.

I may have exaggerated somewhat. I have scored from about 20 yards out. And I haven't actually attempted a one/two yet. The rest are accurate. Especially the free kick one.
