Killing the Foden draft now. I’m not going through that every week. I honestly think he will end up wasting his career at City. He would be a central figure at any other side, but is peripheral there and it looks like he always will be. Can’t get in the team and they haven’t even made an attacking signing yet.

Glad to see the charity shield focusing minds. Cbb with the Pep midfield roulette when they're so many good options elsewhere.

Assume we're all looking at a Kane & Haaland draft now :lol:

It's an interesting idea that a 23 year old on 300k a week, with 200+ appearances who has won 5 league titles and the treble last year, and plays 40-50 times a season is in any way wasting their career:drool:
 
That’s a good game/result for the neutrals. Hopefully it results in lots turning their attentions elsewhere.

That Arsenal team not playing against a mountain of CBs will still score lots of goals.

He hasn’t been central to any of it. He is one of the most gifted players of his generation and he is a glorified sub at a cheat team.

It’s a waste of his talent. He only has 75 PL starts to his name and doesn’t play in any important games. 380 minutes in the CL in their treble year.

He is 23 years old, he isn’t a young player being drip fed into the squad anymore. He is a sub.

I like that. I have Garnacho and am weighing up Son or Diaz. I have Son at the minute as worried that Diaz will either play 60 mins and get withdrawn for Jota or the other way round.
 
Next year i am doing draft 24 hours begore dealine. This is annoying. I am changing team daily.
Now Foden doesn't look too good. And DCL is back.

Ffs. Can't wait thst this shit starts.
 
You are really hoping someone sprang up from nowhere to resolve the Garnacho problem after a few weeks.

You would probably be better going three 6.5s in midfield. Then having three out of Mbeumo, Mitoma, Eze, Diaby Barnes, Mudryk, Silva during the early parts of the season. It would mean there was always someone to go to.

What should we do with Foden? Keeping? I wouldn't look at him but City schedule is just hard to overlook

My bench is Areola, Holgate, Botman, Archer.

I really want two premiums but just didn't know how to make it work. Decided to stack United and Arsenal players due to the easy fixtures. Botman is going on the bench because they've got a nightmare fixture to start off with. Two main worries are lack of City players, and I'm not sure about MacAlister as I don't know how he'll fare at a new club and possibly a new role.

I just can’t face it to be honest. He isn’t even starting with the players they have now. They will almost certainly sign a RW, Pep doesn’t seem to trust him in midfield and it would be a headache every week hoping he started.

I think a talisman 6,5 is the way to go for those who have him. Someone dependable who will be amongst their teams returns every week and has penalties. Think Eze will outpoint him over the season.

Mbuemo for me then. Which means also Calvert instead of Adebeyo. Mbuemo better pays off.

Watkins as cap? Surely not?

I thought I was more or less set before striker injuries. Now have a Salah draft that looks very easy to downgrade after a few games if needs must. I think I might roll with it now!

I think Bernardo Silva would be the one for me if I went another City. Him or Alvarez. Any more than that has too much money invested in the gamble.

MacAllister is waste of space.
 
Does anyone else feel most options are quite bad this season particular the forwards?

It feels like the worst set of picks in theory since I started playing. Some good mids, but worries about most picks.

Haaland is of course very good, but even he played quite bad today. Might not reach last seasons level.

Kane might leave so it is very risky to go with him.

Salah is great, but have hard early fixtures and playing a bit wider.

Rashford is very good. He is probably the player I have most confident in to outscore his cost, but we have not looked amazing in pre season.

Son might struggle without Kane.

Watkins is solid, but he feels like the obvious pick despite an awful opening game which show the lack of options.

Bruno playing a bit deeper at times.

Arsenal picks are good, but without Jesus they are less strong. More rotation for Martinelli with Trossard. Still think it is obvious to go there with Newcastle, Liverpool (other than Salah) and City picks being far more risky.

Liverpool attack rotates.

newcastle attack not certain who starts.

Brighton rotates.

Nkunku injured.

Mitro might leave and Toney banned.

Also realized Villa has cup games in the first few weeks which makes Watkins much less appealing.

0 ITB. Bench looks very weak, also Would prefer to have Watkins over Jackson. One option is moving Onana for Pickford but then I'm still 0.5 short for Watkins.

Any thoughts? Would love to hear some opinions.

Very solid, personally I’m not a fan of double defence to start the season, so I would make Shaw either Stones or Chilwell, or Onana to Johnstone or Pickford.
you have the money ITB to make Mac Allister Phil Foden, as City play Friday there should be a 99% chance we get early team news if he starts or not.

Watkins is a 90 minute man, can’t see him being dropped because they are in the conference league.

You switched from Jackson to Watkins? i have Jackson and Son right now. Im wondering if I remove Son, move to Watkins up top and bank the 1.0m.
 
I must be missing something, why are people going for Mbueno? Is he the Brentford striker now?

He seems to also have a slight injury flag on FPL now

Would you be overly surprised if Sancho started some games ahead of him? He's played the most minutes of everyone in our squad this pre-season, while also being tried in that central role that would allow Rashford to play off the left.

It’s not really about minutes but form. If he plays in both it will be the first time in his career where he needs to manage European football and domestic games at the same time. It might prove tricky.

Not at all but Garnacho would need to be the first one to come off the bench in those games and he may be a threat then too.

Currently considering a Salah inclusion:

Onana (Areola)
Estupinan Stones Gabriel (Pau Baldock)
Salah Rashford Saka Mitoma Garnacho
Haaland Jackson (Mubama)

Having Pau on bench would allow me to go 442. I could also swap Stones (who like every City defender is a rotation risk) for a cheap defender and go with Mbeumo/Eze for Garnacho which doesn’t seem that bad of a choice either.
 
Is Ederson going to be City's no1? I know most don't like him but a City goalkeeper is probably their only guaranteed starter with the roulette.

Is this a serious question??

Not sure what you think they’re going to do with him off he isn’t starting and I can’t imagine that he’ll need too keen to hang around if any of the other GKs at the club are starting ahead of him regularly.

He might ‘only’ start the PL and CL games though
