Getting better, what's your thinking with MacAllister ?

You can always run your squad through Fantasy Football Hub and see what kind of rating they give you, always worth checking.

I just think he's going to be good for Liverpool.

Newcastle away is the toughest away game they have. Both Chelsea and Liverpool aren’t great defenses and both have their teams overhauled during preseason. Villa away from home were pretty good last year. If Nkunku is injured, then I would pick Watkins, Jackson, Joao Pedro, Nunez, Gakpo in that order.

Villa play Newcastle, Liverpool and Chelsea away in the first 6. Plus Brighton at home in week 7, I wait til week 8 to look at Watkins.

Yea, he is overrated. I started the season off with Sanchez/Henderson combo but Steele was amazing last season at 4m. Saving penalties, assists, BPS he had everything. Such a shame he isn't guaranteed starting spot. I would have loved to continue having him in my team.

Double Brighton defence gave me unreal points at the end of last season.

Saw Chelsea are trying to get Sanchez as "cover", which seemed odd. But would leave Steele as guaranteed #1.

That thing gave it a 90% rating and an 87%gw rating.

I assume that's good.

Mac is about the pens, which he won't get near at Liverpool.
Brighton were an attacking beast last year and he only had 2 assists all season.

Like I said Villa is good away from home. Plus Villa have improved their already good attack. I don’t think both Pool and Chelsea will have clean sheets again Villa. And Brighton definitely won’t have a clean sheet away at Villa.

Yeah not bad at all, you can always tinker with your squad to improve.

Did you have the right starting 11 ?

When i first tried it out it gave me a crap rating which annoyed me, only for me to realise i had Haaland etc on the bench.

Onana
Chilwell, Gabriel, Estupinian
Rashy, Martinelli, Saka, Mitoma, Son
Haaland, Jackson

Subs: Areola, Adebayo, Kabore, Beyer (0.5 in the bank)

Thoughts? Ideally don't want Jackson but can't get to Watkins without a downgrade...

It’s in the Standard that Chelsea are hopeful that Nkunku is weeks and not months out. He’ll not be starting the season then and even then a risky pick if there’s a reoccurrence.

I suppose Jackson is guaranteed more game time now but it might lessen his appeal now that Nkunku isn’t up there for a while.

For me it’s either start with Watkins or a Salah draft, but for me that needs a Nketiah/Raul Jimenez/Vinicius/Joao Pedro to work.

I wonder if Alvarez/Solanke at £6.5m would work but the defence would suffer a bit.

Yeah, might change a couple around.

Went with this 11.

A 5.0 defender is better than a 5.0 forward? Even if he is coming off the bench?

Didn't they spend some dosh on that that Verbruggen guy. Not sure he's guaranteed starting spot.

Just checked FPL tracker and both of the have literally same minutes in preseason. FFS, RDZ is looking like another Pep.

Nah, the 2 bench options are 4.0 don't want to move to 5. And both will play. There's no 4.5 striker that plays.

My only real option is to downgrade Son to Maddison. But I feel more excited by Son...

With Nkunku out it strengthens the appeal for Mudryk. He will start now on the left.

Definitely Son is a better option unless Kane leaves. Then I will go to Richarlison and use that 2.0m elsewhere.

Thankfully I won my leagues last season, but RDZ made me sweat with the whole dropping March and Mitoma business.

Interesting, but I have a few concerns…
Son was bloody awful last season, even if Kane leaves, I’m struggling to see how his form is going to get back to 2 years ago, but I have no idea how he’s looked in pre-season.
Onana worries me because I’m waiting on Hojlund’s price. I may want triple United attack.

After the Jesus news I changed my team up to:
Johnstone - Flekken
Henry - Estu - Gabriel - Pau - Kabore
Saka - Martinelli - Bruno - Rashy - Mitoma
Watkins - Haaland - J.Pedro

My thought process is: I suspect Areola won’t start and 2 rotating 4.5 GKs will emerge quickly as the template. And I suspect Areola’s price will drop quickly as those 4.5s emerge, and don’t want too many transfers on GKs early.

Want that extra United spot, and not committing to Onana yet.

I’m not convinced by Chelsea or Tottenham at all, I’d rather not go into the season with any assets until I see it.

I want to front load on MF and FWDs, and I suspect rotations of 4.5s will work at the back: Botman-Pau-Henry-Ugogie. In other word I’m anti “big at the back” and am anxiously brother @Moby ‘s return from “vacation” ;)

If I could, and probably will, I’ll switch Martinelli to Foden. That gives me the ability to go straight back to Jesus, just want to watch community shield first.

Also considering going Watkins to Wizza or maybe Hojlund, depending on his price. With that much ITB I can check and adjust quickly to trends.

I’m pretty settled on my first attempt:

———————Ramsdale
Estupinan - Shaw - Stones - TAA
Saka - Foden - Bruno - Martinelli
————-Haaland - Jackson

0.5 in the bank, potentially for Jackson to Nkunku.

What are you all overthinking for weeks for?

My first day today.

Shocked at the amount of teams with Bruno AND Rashford.

You have been looking at this for weeks and that’s what you come up with?
Dont blame us when you miss out on Bruno hatrick off Rashford assists in GW1.

Not a bad team actually. I might copy it. But not Ramsdale. You'll never win anything with that tit in goal.

I’m just scared of United players :(
If the score big and I don’t have them, I’ll still feel good anyway.
Think I’m going for Bruno and Shaw.

If not United, then Arsenal, though does Jesus out help or hinder the likes of Martinelli and Saka.
If Nketiah is confirmed, 5.5m into their fixtures looks big.

Although nketiah is a bit of a score 2 in a tough game, ie versus us, then do jack all v others for weeks.

The conundrum of double-jeopardy. Watch United players bring you success in fantasy during a victorious weekend, or watch them sabotage your fantasy as well as leaving you frustrated.

You've basically picked 10 players from the pool of 16 or so that everyone is picking from.

Then put a silly second striker in.

Aye but I done it by myself in 5 minutes, without watching a 10 YouTube videos and listening to 6 podcasts.

For the United fans playing and don’t have Bruno are we underestimating him especially for his price?

He definitely looks a good option this season, after being overpriced last.
If we progress from last season, Bruno will be a central part of that.

Also it's really tough watching us not having him isn't it!

It definitely will be tough watching us cause right now I don’t own him. I got Martinelli, Saka, Rashford, Son and Mitoma.
