Fabio Coentrao

Silly foul, but what a gimp the other guy is. Getting kicked on the thigh with the laces of a boot does not justify falling over and rolling around like a bellend.

La Liga......GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL culture

I really don't understand why we can't get him on loan earlier last summer.

It's only a loan deal, even if there's some payment involved, surely the risk is minimal as compared to buying him. It's not likely he's injured or out of form, imo he can do more than a good job for us, and for a loan deal he's as good as you can get.

Because he was second choice after Baines.

Fabio da Silva and Fabio Coentrao both picked up red cards (the former against Swansea and the latter today, against Osasuna). And one could potentially play for us, while the other already plays for us, leaving us with two Fabios in a red shirt.
Coentrao received a red card just minutes ago.
Fabio got sent off
Coentrao got sent off
Coentrao got a red today, Fabio got one last week.

You're going to like this...

...I knew about the red card, bu I'd overlooked the fact that Coentrao's first name is Fabio (without which the title makes little sense).:wenger::o

Would his domestic ban transfer over to England if we were to sign him? Or would he just remain forever banned in Spain?

The commentators said that the ban applied only in the Copa del Rey; the Spanish don't seem to group all domestic competitions into one like we do in England. Not that it makes that much difference in this case as Marcelo is first choice in the league anyway it seems.

So with the red card he had with Madrid yesterday, does that mean he'll miss the Chelsea game? Do suspensions carry through to a different league. Even if it does, because it was a Spanish Cup game, surely he'd miss the next FA Cup game (next season)?

;)

Id prefer shaw myself but there maybe an all out bidding war for him when the time comes.

100% prefer Shaw, he's exactly the type of player United should be signing. Young, English and a very good player. We'll live to regret it but there we go. Opens the floor for Chelsea to snap him up. Sigh.

Coentrao I have no doubt will be good at United, just think Shaw is the far better bet. Let's see how much he's signed for...

Don't bans in the large majority of European leagues work domestically? So a player who gets a red in a FA Cup, COC or PL game will simply miss the following domestic game.

if that rule applies overseas, then hypothetically if Coentrao joined us before Sunday, he would just miss the Chelsea game and it wouldn't carry over to the FA Cup next year.

Maybe I'm being ungrateful but it still feels a bit shit that our most likely signing this window is a left back.

I think it's a decent signing, mate. Left back was a huge concern for us. Nobody who can noticeably improve us in the midfield seems to be available/willing to join us. Hopefully we'll be proved wrong.

They've no need to keep him now surely? Is Moreno definitely an immediate signing or will he come in the summer?

Oh just sign him now so everyone on the caf can have something good to talk about!!!

fecking negatives!!

Moyes is shit
Woody is shit
RVP wants out
Rooney wants out
Our entire back 4 wants out
Cleverley is nowhere near as good as we expected him to be
7th place
RVP out for longer
Rooney out for longer

JUST GIVE US SOME GOOD NEWS!!!!! EVEN A NEW SPONSOR!!!!

Is the Moreno deal confirmed? I think that tweet was from Seville radio speculation.

You make it sound like all that is required is for United to decide they want him.

Ever considered the possibility he might want to go to Chelsea?
