F1 2023 Season

Fecking Ferrari, unbeliveable stuff

It was shite when its a inter-team battle for the title. Its even more shite when its a one horse race.

F1 is crap when there arent two teams going hammer and tong for the title till last few races of the season.

Doesn't look shite for me, I am enjoying it despite supporting Ferrari.

It'll mess up my prediction but would be nice to see Piastri get a podium

Surely Perez will get pulled into play if he's one stopping? (I have him 3rd)

Easy when you have, best car, best driver, best pit crew and strategy.
Best car and best driver I agree can be down do brilliant individuals (Max and Newey) but the team organizaiton can be trained. It's actually the other teams fault that they are making silly mistakes.

The fact that you refuse to admit it, just goes to prove that you think it's dead because it's not your man up front.

And as others have said, F1 is not just fight fir first place, lots of interesting fights between other drivers and teams.

Agree, but there's hardly anything going on in the middle of pack either. No excitement, hardly any overtakes, no crashes. It just feels so demure

Gambled on a post-qualifying prediction. Went to shit turn 1.

It was poor. But we both know there is no chance of anybody coming back at Max now. But rather than looking at this race in isolation, we have known since the first two races Max was going to win the Championship, that they will win all races unless there is a reliability issue. I think thats what @Widow was getting at.

Yeah there is decent midfield racing, but there was during the Schumacher dominated years, and the Hamilton dominated years, and I didn't find that very interesting either. And even those two periods of dominance it wasn't as ridiculously one sided as this, and there wasn't a cap which slows development of cars.
Cost cap is a major issue for anyone catching RB. Same will happen in 2026 if say Ferrari nail the new regs. Everyone else will struggle to catch them under the cost cap

Hamilton Mercedes is slow. No doubt about that. Could be interesting soon with Perez.

But strategically it had to be Norris first to defend Vs Hamilton.
Don't think Hamilton was in a position to challenge Lando there, always thought the leading driver got first choice as well but I guess it's different at McLaren.

If Hamilton is slow, what can we say about Ferrari? Sainz was just 3 seconds after the pits behind him if I remember well, and it's more than 10 seconds now.

Agree, but there's hardly anything going on in the middle of pack either. No excitement, hardly any overtakes, no crashes. It just feels so demure

I mean, Hungaroring is known as Monaco without walls tbf. But I agree drivers aren't taking much risks, I was critical of it earlier in the season too, everything is down to strategy and oreparing the car before the race nowadays.
