Mercedes tends to take longer to heat its tyres up, but at the benefit of being able to manage them for longer. Prime challenge when you're putting hards on. A calculation feck up by Mercedes strategy team today, no doubt about it.
They just need to drop Bottas support and concentrate on the fight now, Red Bull are well in this and they will be a one car team from here.
Hamilton of course only has himself to blame this weekend, his side of the garage didn’t get the job done.

If Stroll gets a 5 second penalty for crossing the yellow line it would probably be a no-brainer

The only nice bit was Vettel coming out just ahead of Gasly from the pit and the race director stuffed it up by showing us Stroll going over a curb.
Been so dull I forgot who was winning for about 25 laps.
Missed some of the race, how did Seb and Perez gain places.
Seb was good today, the track hid the Aston Martin's lack of speed which allowed him to do well.
Hamilton pitted early onto hards, followed by Gasly and they both got overcut by Seb and Perez. Hamilton wasn't exactly happy for the following laps.
Overcut worked during the pit.

McLaren need to ditch their stupid livery and keep this gulf one. Looks amazing
No matter how fans moan, the drivers love the place, they all want to drive and win at Monaco.

Happy with that result. Max with the win to keep the season interesting and Carlos and Lando on the podium too who I definitely am big fans of. Not the most exciting race, but sure that's to be expected in Monaco.

Monaco is utter utter crap, thats there for the sponsors to have a piss up. Its not fit for modern f1 cars. If every track on the calender was as bad as monaco for overtaking f1 would have died as a sport long ago.
It looks pretty but that gets old after a handful of laps.
The only noteworthy memory I have about this track is Simon Lazenby's remark about Grace Kelly. Not that I enjoyed, but it's the only thing I will say is worth recalling about. The sooner they drop the sentimentality of the track and find a more competitive one, the better.

Sometimes swap and chance aero and chassis.
That was so bad. Fortunately I had it recorded I basically fast forwarded the entire race except the first two laps and Bottas’ pit stop. Done the whole race in 5mins

Switched Hamilton and McLaren for Sainz and Mercedes. It was looking amazing after qualifying because I already had Leclerc.
I love Monaco.
Yeah there's no overtaking but watching the cars go within millimetres of the barriers is brilliant.
It's a very unique track that is generally won on a Saturday.

One thing is for sure, they should have at least a two stop race with really soft tyres and force multiple pits stops. Modern F1 cars will not be able to race on this track, today had the top 8 managing their pace to protect their tyres for the pit stop - something which was obvious to everyone but Mercedes.
