Well he did struggle to get past Lando the first time. Not quite sure he would have been able to get past both of them. Just conjecture now though. If Mercedes didn't feck the pit stop Hamilton would've been clear of Norris and Verstappen. Would he have caught Ricciado?
This. It's a racing incident and nobody will get a penalty for it. Fanboys will disagree and whine though.
McLaren love this track. Last year Sainz was on course for win also.Yeah I don't think he would've. Credit to McLaren, they've had good pace this weekend. Really happy to see them get the 1-2.
Can see why this thread appears so childish during racesBoth Lewis and Max fanboys today:
This is basically it for me. The handling of the Silverstone incident for me should directly influence how they handle this one for the sake of coherence.Looking through it I really think that collision is more on Max then Lewis. I do think Max had a right to go down the outside, but Lewis left him room and also left him room on the next corner too - he didn’t go right to the apex. Max was never in front and he knew that putting the car there he would crash. To me this has to be a penalty, if you give Lewis a penalty in Silverstone you have to give Max a penalty here.
If they hadn’t given a penalty to Lewis in that race, I’d say this shouldn’t be a penalty either. For me both are racing. But Silverstone was slightly more Lewis’ fault then Hamilton, and this is slightly more Max’s fault than Lewis. So, you have to penalise both if you want to be fair and set that precedent.
If you had watched the race you would have seen that the race line was to hug the right curb into the corner and hug the left curb out of the corner. To leave a cars width would have meant there was no way of making the corner at the speed they were carrying.Hmm, I don’t think that’s really true. I’ll caveat again I’ve only seen the one replay but this:
Shows there was room, and also that Max was alongside going into T2.
Not me, yes I am a Lewis fan, bit I said before the crash, I would love Riccado to win. Both Lewis and Max fanboys today:
Wouldn't trust Mazepin to drive me to the airport. Think Wan-Bissaka would do better job at Haas.

All good I know there are fans (on both sides) that can be objective for the most part. That refers to those who live and die on their opinions based on their allegiance rather than on reality. Not me, yes I am a Lewis fan, bit I said before the crash, I would love Riccado to win.
That explains all the crashingHe would only try and grope you on the way anyway. Mazepin that is, not AWB.

Word, true that.Due to a safety feature that was met with significant backlash when introduced , this race will be remembered as one of the most entertaining, and not as another tragedy.
I make no secret I am a massive Lewis fan, I dont dislike Max, he is a future WC.All good I know there are fans (on both sides) that can be objective for the most part. That refers to those who live and die on their opinions based on their allegiance rather than on reality.
Then how can you say that he could have gave him more room and still made the corner it makes no sense. You don’t need to have watched this race to know the racing line. I’ve been there, I’ve literally walked around that corner, I know the racing line.

Norris is a good boy putting on that brave face! He'll do some winning when he becomes a little more cnuty for sure.
