F1 2021 Season

you go off the racing line to make an over take attempt. are you new to racing? I feel like a lot of fans are coming into f1 and don’t understand what’s happening

it was a game or chicken and nobody pulled out.
If the car in front makes the apex before you then you cant do that can you

Whoever's fault that was, it's great to see two championship contenders having proper battles at the front like this. Five years ago since we had anything close to it

I'm British and, given the last 3 penalties given for racing incidents this season, that there is a penalty every day of the week.

And Hamilton immediately on the radio claiming it's Max's fault is exceptionally cnutish to be honest, given how he just rolled the dice with Verstappen's life. All because he can't handle being bullied in the drivers championship for a change.
The armchair psychology experts on here are always entertaining.

Nah from helicam it was Max turned into Lewis. Lewis was committed to his inside line after dummy he gave to Max and Max being Max he changing direction more than twice before slightly turn into Lewis line.
Chandook was right, it should be racing accident btw.

The state of that car - shows the safety advances fortunately.

Was Max expecting Lewis to be tighter to the corner? I presume they can now change his wing/ tyres as red flag?

What do they do with cars that severely damaged?

Neither driver giving an inch, got to love it! Hamilton thinks he has that corner, Max thought he had it. If neither concedes these things happen.
Yeh we want to see wheel to wheel racing. No way it on purpose as no-one would do that. Its a 190mph corner racing incident.

It’s the driving equivalent of Mourinho waving an imaginary card at the referee this

"Toto I don't look at emails during the race so I cam concentrate on the race"

Those radio clips between the teams and FIA are really interesting

It's a racing incident, they're basically trying to stop any form or racing.

F1 is a club full of knobs listening to all this radio bollocks.

Not new, been watching since 2000. I'm guessing JB is new to the sport too?

Also, have to take into who the driver is in the incident, Hamilton has a history of this when he can't force an overtake.

Hamilton should get a big penalty for this it’s more than a racing incident, if this was Schumacher he’d be kicked out of the race
It isn't Schumacher, it's a Briton. It wouldn't be the first time the stewards come up with all kinds of excuses like he admitted his mistake, which are irrelevant with other drivers.

Having seen the replays, it’s definitely Hamilton’s fault. Not intentional and unfortunate that Max is out, but Horner is so over the top. It’s racing. It’s dangerous.

he wasn’t clearly ahead they’re literally side by side, max maybe 2 foot ahead at most but not enough to claim it’s your corner.

Whatever the outcome, that there is the type of incident that fuels future battles for the Championship.

Yeah having seen the replay it looks like Max was expecting Lewis to have backed off.

Horner is so incredibly slimy though, hate that he was immediately on the radio trying to pressure the race director.

So hes ahead? Again more than likely not on purpose but Max makes the apex before Lewis and starts to turn. Makes a correction to give Lewis space and starts again. Lewis goes deep into the apex. The back of Maxs car touches the front of Lewis (meaning again he was infront)

It was enough. Hamilton missed the apex as the replays clearly showed

You did see that Hamilton was turning to the right, maybe understeer. Max started to do the same then momentary straighten up then back to the right.
