Eva Carneiro leaves Chelsea

But her role has nothing to do with the public eye. Not in the sense you seem to mean here anyway.

It's the same issue actually, just because she is a doctor at a football club doesn't mean she should just accept what happened.
If she has a problem with the stories about her in the media why doesn't she sue them for being libellous as well? Unless it is true and she did shag a player. In which case, she was rightfully removed.

I actually don't really care about this. It will likely end in a settlement and a few board members being sacked for it. This time next year people wont even remember this story I suspect.

I am positive Mourinho doesn't have the power to dismiss the medical team. They aren't apart of his coaching staff and are out of his jurisdiction. Whoever removed here from her match day duties was higher up then Mourinho.

Whether he has the power doesn't matter, he more than likely had a say in her dismissal.

Its why I just couldn't understand the course of action Mourinho took at the time, at best it was incredibly ill advised and naive, at worst an example of extreme arrogance.

She could also have a strong claim that by criticising her in the manner he did, Chelsea have damaged her prospects of securing work in the future - if that were upheld, and I suspect it would be, then Roman would be writing a VERY big cheque.

She has such a case, it's pretty much certain there'll be a big payoff coming her way.

Who acted under the request of Mourinho, because he's the main man when it comes to all things football related.

If Fergie had fell out with one of his medical team said person would be gone within the week.

Oh that's ok then. It's ok that these stories have come out after being publically trashed.

And you can turn a blind eye and not care, at least claim not to, but once again your club has acted like an amateur boys club and she will win this.

A little bit of class would have gone a long way here.

That's ridiculous. If a manager like Mourinho or SAF wanted a medical staff change, it would happen. If they thought the team wasn't doing the job they should be, there's no way changes wouldn't happen on their say.
Mourinho doesn't have a fraction of Fergusons control at Chelsea. He doesn't even get to choose his own signings any more. The fact that he doesn't get to choose his own playing staff makes me believe he has little control over the medical team (Which is out of a managers power to begin with).

How does she win? There is nothing to win here. She is out of a job now, potentially cut a few ties in football and earned a couple million. Not going to hurt the club in any way.

Mourinho damaging her reputation publicly in interviews is an issue she can take to court certainly.

Chelsea shouldn't feel responsible for a tabloid story on who she's been shagging.

Possibly. Doesn't seem that cut and dry as most people think though. She remained in a job with the same job title and salary presumably.

Fair enough. If my employer told me I no longer have to fulfil a certain duty I've been carrying out but I'm remaining in the same job title and salary, my reaction wouldn't be I'm entitled to millions via a court case but I suppose every situation is different.

I don't think you really understand what constructive dismissal is.

She looks like a lovely lady (and not in a sexist or patronising way), only Chelsea could manage to bring about such a pointless and unnecessary saga.

Be nice to see her back with a premiership team one day.

Why not both?

I doubt he has control over the medical team. Its the head doctor that controls who does what in the medical team and the head doctor doesn't answer to the manager at Chelsea.

She is just an ordinary doctor, regardless of whether she is on match days or not.

Still it appears she was demoted for not participating in Mourinho's cynical time wasting tactic. It will therefore appear that she was unfairly punished for doing her job. I'm sure her being a woman is also in play. She will collect handsomely imo.

Let's not change the point here shall we?

Whether or not Chelsea feel responsible isn't my point, in fact I never said they were. But you know that.

For clarity, I asked you if you'd be so happy with such a public reduction of duties and one that lead to tabloid stories. You wouldn't. Which makes my point to your initial post I quoted very valid.

Win the case. Stop being stupid, you know exactly what that meant.

It is funny though to see you going on about the club and money and how it's not going to 'hurt' them. No wonder you seem to be so keen on Mourinho's side here, you seem to have fallen for his antics and the us and them rubbish.

He is in the wrong, Chelsea are in the wrong, and if this goes to a tribunal or court case then there will be a winner. Her.

I would sack people over this. Starting with the Russian lady who became Chief Executive. Not only will it piss off the feminist groups that jumped all over this case but I also don't like her either.

That's just me though. Probably my petty spiteful attitude is the reason why I'm not in charge.

Getting paid millions for doing less? I wouldn't give a shit about some stupid stories.

No I haven't. Eva Carneiro isn't representative of the world. She is just an opportunistic lady who wants millions for jack shit. Why should I take the side of somebody like that? And why does it mean I fell for Mourinhos antics (Which aren't antics. They are just him whinging because he has no control).

You're next in line for Mourinho's job.
I could do that. Throw out the same team each week, watch them lose and sarcastically congratulate the ref. In the interview after the game lose my shit and start insulting everybody. Sometimes ill mix it up and headbutt the reporter for added effect, or maybe get into am argument and have a fan banned for life because she isn't cheering loud enough (Must be a woman to add the sex case into it).

You don't seem to give a shit about anything you are banging on about in here. Funny that.

And now you are talking about feminists, careful you are getting closer to slipping out what you really think about this...

I was taking the piss mate. Just like I wouldn't actually want Abramovich to have her killed.

I'm talking about feminists because feminist groups jumped all over this accusing Chelsea of discrimination and prejudice. Its slanderous based on nothing and they got away with doing so. That's wrong in any walk of life, regardless of the agenda.

You should be thankful it's not the justice league of black lawyers again!

Some of the stories were a complete invasion of her privacy if I remember correctly. You're just being silly saying that

Stories saying I was great in bed and liked a good shag? I would be fine with those. Its the stories that make me sound bad that I wouldn't be fine about.

The press stories were a tad ridiculous: "The fiery raven-haired Latin beauty BOASTED of her nights making love to Rupert Trustfund, in a fiery Latin way!" Dunno what they would've printed if she was from Stoke-on-Trent.

Eva Carneiro .... just an opportunistic lady who wants millions for jack shit.

Or, she's someone who had her professional reputation called into question publicly with no valid justification, and who later felt that, as a result of this, and other actions by her employer, that she could no longer continue in her role, and quite possibly may face difficulty securing another role... while actually doing nothing wrong.... and therefore is entitled to all sorts of compensation.

I think I know which view a court will take.

We started protecting employees from whimsical and unfair treatment from their employers a long time ago.

"She did it on a rainy night in Stoke!"

Of course the courts will. That doesn't change the fact that she is likely doing so just for the money and not because she felt mistreated or anything.

Was she working for Chelsea out of the goodness of her heart then, or do you think it may have been, you know, for the money?

It doesn't matter what she 'felt', the court doesn't really care much about emotions in these cases, just whether she actually was mistreated, and she was.

I have no doubt either that sue resigned because she was made aware that she could make more money from it then she would if she continued working for Chelsea. She is being opportunistic and yet everybody is treating her like some poor little victim.

I don't believe that for a second. Just this week there were Journos on 5live talking about how much control Mourinho has at Chelsea.

Hang on...how is being absolutely coated in the most public way possible by your boss, without any apparent or lawful justification, something which makes her "an opportunistic lady who wants millions for jack shit"?

An opportunity has to exist in order for one to be 'opportunistic'.... who created that opportunity do you think?

fecking whore, she should just shut up and make the tea..... maybe take the odd slap from a disgruntled player now and again and smile while she's at it.

It's not opportunistic to refuse to work in hostile and professionally and personally damaging work environment.

He really doesn't have much control. Like I said, he doesn't even know any of his signings.

Yeah, Chelsea and Mourinho fecked up. I wont defend what he did, it was shitty. I still wont fall in line saying how great she is for resigning and then sueing her former employer.

I think you have to ask questions about how a woman of her age is unmarried and childless at that age. What do you think her masterplan here is? Trick Abramovich into getting her up the duff and then force him to marry her? Or something even more dishonest?

Yeah, Chelsea and Mourinho fecked up.

Agreed. And they should, and will, pay for it.

You can't treat your employees like shite anymore because you're having a tantrum, thankfully.
