Erik ten Hag | Currently unemployed

Oh my god!! Are we never fecking satisfied here at the CAF!?
We cry out for years to get someone like Murtough in and now there’s proof he can do what the job entails (like many of you wanted) it’s simply a PR move. Jesus fecking christ above. I give up. I really do.

We have the biggest wet the bed fanbase about.

When things clearly look like they are moving in a new and right direction as the evidence is showing us, we had this mad phase of Qanon like Conspiracies and plots where the board where dreaming up these mad plots to bring in Poch and nothing has changed at all, people losing their mind to random tweets from clowns from the mail who clearly not in the know to bash everybody more.

Murtough and Fletcher getting dogs abuse based on a tweet, when reality was they seemed to be doing my their jobs this whole time, even as people been saying they not qualified shouldn't be in the jobs. Could be true to an extent, but as it stands they seem to be showing more sound knowledge than most folk at the club, and other experts in the media who been talking, with how they been handling this appointment.

Now it's PR spin, who needs football men, bring back Woody,

Sends a signal to the others as well if he is able to feck ronaldo off. None of you cnuts are safe if he isn’t.

It likely is. They had an article about a Newcastle fan being mistaken for a zebra by another zebra not long ago which turned out to be true and had a very unsavoury ending.

Feck knows if this news is true or not, but I would like to think it is. There's no future for Ronaldo here and we need to quickly move on.

He needs to move on to the Maguire issue after that.

Don't think it's true. Ronaldo is the key for our marketing side of things. You have a GOAT in your team with huge marketing potential. I'm pretty sure one of the terms we set to ETH was to be inclusive of Ronaldo in any plans.

I dont see any wrong in it. Ronaldo can still be productive in right circumstances, albeit in a reduced role .

The marketing doesn't really work if we're playing in the mighty conference league, something which will likely bother Ronaldo too and will cause him to push for a move from his end.

If any of this is true, its probably the club trying to save face with the inevitably of CR7 deciding he wants out.

Who do you think Fergie had when he first moved to United? Archie Knox and then Brian Kidd.
You can have Brian Kidd when you have already won the European Cup Winners Cup and have your assistant who has won it too. Ole don't have that pedigree.

Could very well be that . He wants out and we are twisting the narrative.

Its not hatred. I don't know if this is just a modern issue but people can't seem to separate the person from their actions.

Ole seems like a lovely guy. I doubt too many people on here would disagree with that. He was a fecking awful manager for a club the size of United however. The two are almost entirely unrelated.

I think Lewis Hamilton is a pillock but a fantastic F1 driver.

I think that Djokovic is a fantastic tennis player but an absolute bellend.

I think that Mata should have left the club about 4 years ago but is an absolutely lovely guy.

Please stop equating being critical of someones performance as being critical of their character.
That's the thing. Ole's managerial stint has been the most successful since SAF but you and other people here just plain refuse to acknowledge that

Let's hope so. It would absolutely be the wrong decision to keep Ronaldo. There's no benefit to forcing the 2 to work together when he doesn't suit ETH at all, while you can't marginalize Ronaldo without it being a huge story and a huge distraction.

Is it horse shit. He managed a side when they were relegated and didn't even get close to par out of the quality of player that United have/had after spending £300m. The expectations change depending on your resources and assets and given a wealth of assets he didn't deliver. He didn't add any value to set of players that he assembled.

Top managers add value to the players that are under them. Ole didn't do that. This is why people think he was rubbish. At no point in his managerial career does he appear to have outperformed expectations based on his and his clubs position.
Is Klopp trash manager for getting relegated witih Meinz?

Debatable, mourinho won 2 trophies, however bad it was at the end

I like trophies as much as the next guy but I measure managers by their league performance. There is no luck when you look at 38 games. Cups and one-off games can be decided by luck easily. Like us losing on penalties, for example.

Seriously, where do these stories come from? Unless some board member just picks up the phone to some random journo and says, "Hey you never guess what. We've just been talking to Ten Hag and he doesn't fancy Ronaldo next season...", I can't see how these stories can be true. There must be a credible source for it to be true but I'd be gobsmacked if they gave up information that readily.

This is what concerns me. The United hierarchy don't want a manager having influence on transfers and recruitment but the recent rumors are that Hag made a list of demands that points to the contrary. Hag was indeed a head coach at Ajax, a much better run club than our farce, but if his demands are true it suggests he may be concerned about the club's ability to give him the support he needs.

The club may commit to this on paper but how will it play out in reality? There's a serious contradiction here. Hag seems to want more than just a head coach role now, much like Pochettino wanted at Spurs

Don’t let it concern you

Its modern football

There's not a chance in hell he would have taken the job if we made that a condition.

You can't be undertaking a rebuild (both at a managerial/coaching level and at board level) and also demand a 37 year old is part of any plan going forward. They're incompatible.

ETH has been known to do his due diligence with all of his jobs, he'll have certainly done it with us, and like I said, there's no way he would have taken the job if we forced Ronaldo on him.
