The fact that this charlatan is still here is baffling. I don't think a random bloke off the street could do a worse job.

He needs to be given more time to instil his football philosophy and the board need more time to shift all the deadwood. He also needs more good players, specifically:
  • One LB because Shaw and Malacia are always injured and Dalot is not a LB.
  • One CB to replace Maguire and Lindelof who are on their way out.
  • Two CMs, a defensive one to replace Casemiro and a more all-rounder to replace Eriksen, since they are both cooked.
  • Two wingers to replace Rashford and Antony who's are also done

Use the season purely to bed the new/young players we got in. Then make 6 transfers, corresponding to the above positions between now and next August (incl. January window). Use the preseason without international football to get all the players (including new arrivals) singing from the same hymn sheet. Make a proper go of it next season. He needs more time.
Good bait

I have never seen a football manager playing basketball suicidal tactics in my entire life. Im still shocked and can't believe that Man Utd is playing this football for more than 1 season already. Even more shocking that the new "best in class" football people at the club deem this acceptable and keep him as manager

I agree. Give him until 2030 to allow his tactics and new players to bed in. This fanbase is so impatient.

I would keep him if he showed just a little bit of knowledge and trying to adjust the game to our advantage, and yes he can fail games but just keep standing on the sideline, talks clueless in every interviews and make the same mistakes in most of the matches - then you need to leave. My only concern is if Southgate will be the next manager and please i hope not that will happen.

Still here is he
:(

Best just fast forward to November till he gets sacked, nothing will change.

Most probs see a win vs Southanpton then a defeat after just be like that all time.

They're not going to sack him this year, let's face it. Gave him a new contract in the summer, so he's here to stay unless we go on a run of, say, 6-7 straight defeats.

You know what's also hilarious, the guy has literally signed half of his former Ajax team and has got us targeting his former players or Eredivisie players for three years, but he hasn't actually got the best ones. Gravenberch was the best player on the pitch yesterday, Kudus is miles better than Antony and cost less than half the price, and Alvarez would be a great fit in midfield as well, yet we haven't gone for any of them but somehow brought the likes of Antony, Amrabat and Onana who are complete duds. He can't even assess the talent he's worked with.
This is obviously terrible and a sign of his lack of ability to properly assess players and their skillset, but what worries me, even more, is that United is literally the only club allowing this level of nepotism and mediocrity. You won't find a single other club with a grain of ambition that would so blindly support a manager who is clearly out of his depth, and it's his third season so there was more than enough time to see this! And I completely don't get the fiercely loyal fans putting ETH and his future above Man United - I could anyhow understand this sentiment towards club legend Ole, even when it was clear he's not good enough, but we don't owe ETH shit and we're still talking about the guy who managed to bottle it at the biggest stage against the champions of the bottle, Spurs.

Not quite corect - we beat Brighton at the end of last season, but it's still bad

In our last 16 games it's:

7 Losses, (Fulham H, City A, Chelsea A, Palace A, Arsenal H, Brighton A, Liverpool H)
4 Draws (Burnley H, Liverpool H, Brentford A, Bournemouth A)
5 wins.(Everton H, Sheff United H, Newcastle H, Brighton A, Fulham H)

so 19 points out of a possible 48 points.

Spitting in the face of our fanbase. Back in the day many here would dread going back to the office on Monday following 3-0 mauling by Liverpool at Old Trafford. These days the managers tells you to feck off, it's all according to the plan and you should focus on that Carabao cup from two years ago

I don't know why we keep losing 2 or 3 of the first five matches every season under ETH.

Pre-season prep is horrible. Every season off on the back foot.

That is a good point.
I listened to his post match interview and yet again it was full of excuses.....Euros, South America tournament, USA tour, new players not fit and still need to be integrated, injuries BLAH BLAH.

Ok. All of those may be true. But it is his job to find solutions to them. And if he is using them as excuses, it is plainly obviously he doesn't have any solutions.

Yes it is still just 3 games in. But the way we lost to Brighton and Liverpool hasn't shown any improvement on last season form.

He has to find a way to get the team winning and quickly because the ineos guys looked like thunder yesterday and quite rightly so. As do the fans.

Great post. But don't forget the fa cup win.

This fan base man, so many people changed their mind after 1 and last game of the previous season that we hapenned to win, and 3 games later want to sack him again

Keeping him was a wrong decision, Ineos are getting what they deserved.

a win against Southampton and the poll will swing by about 20-30 points the other way

My concern too is apparently RVN is the one in line to take the interim job. Has done next to feck all since coming in either

What were you expecting RvN would do?

"I’ve been here for two and a half of those years and coming in as I’ve said so many times I felt a big rebuild had to be made," Solskjaer said.

"In the league position you see if there’s any progress for me, that’s always the bread and butter of the season that you see how capable you are of coping of ups and downs any cup competition can give you a trophy but sometimes it’s more of an ego thing from other managers and clubs to finally win something.

"But we need to see progress and if we perform well enough the trophies will end up at the club again. It’s not like a trophy will say that we’re back, no.

"It’s the gradual progression of being in and around the top of the league and the consistency and the odd trophies. Sometimes a cup competition can hide the fact you’re still struggling a little bit."

All of you who slaughtered Ole for this: 1. you deserve ten Hag 2. reading comprehension is very important!

Great quote from Ole. He wasn’t ultimately up to the job but it was nice to have a manager who talked sense and seemed to have a clear style of play (and ability to coach it).

INEOS already fecked up bu keeping him, the fact that he is not already sacked is making it worse. It is inevitable, just sack hm and save the season.

Cheers for the spot, I've corrected my original post to reflect that.

It doesn't just feel like things are getting worse than better, it's factually the case too it seems.

Excuses are the only thing he's quite good at, but even in that he could be better and stop coming across as a very thick man. His opponent yesterday also had a short pre-season, Euros, Copa America, tour and all that and moreover it was his third game, compared to ETH third season. Yet the other man completely outschooled our brilliant-yet-always-unlucky manager.

I've woke up and I've sobered up. Still feel the same, Ten Hag is taking us nowhere and will be gone before Christmas. I'll mentally check out until then.

Get any other decent manager in and I promise you this team will look significantly better in a month's time.

Absolutely horrific fraud.

Great post. But don't forget the fa cup win.
I'd actually be quite ok if he told me or the other fans "shut up, I got you the FA cup last year", it's bringing up this useless Carabao and making up the numbers "two trophies, only behind City" while suggesting that Carabao is as important as PL/CL, that I find rather insulting

Yes indeed.

Do those who still believe in him actually believe in him, or are they doing it because they think believing in him is what they should be doing?
I think there are a lot of Caf members who continuously backed him despite poor results, horrendous stats, lack of patterns of play. The FA cup win emboldened them and they went further in the offseason.

Some people have a really hard time admitting they were wrong. Literally 2 days after the Palace debacle, there were Caf members on here deliriously defending the guy. They’ll slate every pundit, every opinion so they aren’t perceived as “wrong”.

650m later, 29 months later, they’ll continue to dig their holes.

My favorite part of the post match presser was when he said he wasn’t Harry Potter.

Delusional.

We've so few points over the last 16 games that if we stick with ETH till january, we will need to appoint big Sam to keep us up.

Even worse with the added context that two of our wins were in dead rubber games, one of them was against a worst ever PL team (where we still managed to concede two goals), one required a very late winner, and even when we convincingly beat Everton, that was thanks to two (very clear) penalties.

Even if I was inclined towards ETH, I like to think I'd find those post match presser comments embarrassing. That really is an atrocious answer to serious concerns most of us have.

Ruud is there for insurance. If ten Hag doesn't start getting the results and performances he could be gone pretty quickly.

Yes.
The 2 things I wanted to happen after last season was for a new manager to go with the new structure... Tuchel was my choice.

And for Marcus Rashford to be sold, because it is absolutely clear that he is suffering from a chronic lack of confidence which is not going to be solved by him staying here.

Neither have happened unfortunately.

It’s more that we just keep losing in general. We lost 14 league games last season. That’s crazy.

Under Ole we went 29 away games unbeaten. With this guy with have more away losses (17) than wins (16) in the prem

I just don’t get how we’re still employing this fella. What the hell is going on?

So many geniuses let the FA Cup final overwrite the absolute garbage we've seen since the Carabao.

In truth, during his entire reign we've only had about a 3 month window where we played decent (not great) football. He is our worst post-Fergie manager easily.

Yeah that was a no shit Sherlock moment for me. More like Brian Potter than Harry Potter.

Jim must be itching.
Just go on and pull the trigger, just do it now before we are more fecked than a ambitious pornstar.
