He's still in Amsterdam for a Ajax office party for staff tonight. But said he would start working on Manchester United things today.

Maybe he'll come to Manchester this week, but also said he does need to take some days off after a long season.

Ralf had zero power at this club. He wasn't even allowed to have a say on who should get loaned or whom we should buy in January. The guy had to work with a team built by an amateur who tanked despite spending 420m on the squad. No wonder why he failed

Not buying that he didn't have control over who went out on loan.

Not surprised the club didn't buy players he wanted when he was only going to be here for 6 months.

Not more than many other ex player pundits. Saying that, they do speak a lot of crap, especially Scholes.

What they voice is just their own opinions, which is no different to any other fan of the club, but they have a platform to do so.
Why some people get upset or disagree vehemently with these ex player/pundits I'm not sure, it's only an opinion at the end of the day.

I'm not upset, I just call an opinion a shit one if that's my opinion. :D
I can bet Scholes will be on ETH's back in no time, trust my words.

Oh boy,

Everyone seen his comments on Overmars?
Personally I think its fine if a little eyebrow raising, without knowing the context of what Overmars did its hard to say.

But the person he compared him to admitted sexually assaulting a girl who was asleep 50 years ago. *according to the Sun.

But once people latch onto these comments some will definitely take it out of context and believe he is saying what those people did was acceptable, of course, there is further comment from him about the victims being the most important thing and the focus should be on them.

But he's backing a mate and its probably better to just not comment on it.

He's going to regret this, when he realises how useless the players and board are.

I love how people are so quick to say things like this.

This is his biggest job, he obviously has great self belief, looks like if you were in his shoes you'd have taken the easy option.

Manutd is a massive club, underperforming for years, so the challenge to get them back to winning ways is a huge lure.

The board is changing, we are changing how we operate.

Its like when Klopp took over at Pool, but this is even bigger. United will give Ten Hag money and an option to build a squad.

I mean up to 10 players can leave, no player is safe, so I dont get why people are so negative about this.

What did he say?

Why does everyone keep questioning who the manager will be against Palace? It will be RR. ETH will most probably be sitting with the Directors in the stand somewhere - which we’ve seen a million times before: new managers watching and assessing the team they’re about to take over before they officially start the gig.
No manager wants to lose his first game in charge and the odds are really stacked against us winning

Because Shaw, Maguire, Rashford, Lindelof, Mctominay will all still be playing for us, but hope i'm wrong about this after two summer windows.

This is why he is rated as one of the better coaches, he can get more out of players.

The players are all good enough to be in the squad.

Lets look at negatives but we have Bruno, Sancho, Ronaldo, Fred, Varane and many younger players who he can build a team around, added with 4/5 signings.

Mctominay and Maguire should be nowhere near, particularly Mctominay who constantly plays hide and seek during games, Burnley level player.

Not surprised the club didn't buy players he wanted when he was only going to be here for 6 months.

According to various reports he wanted JLingz out on loan and he was frozen out. If a manager can't make changes then we might as well not hire him in the first place. Let Ole or Carricky finish the mess they started

On that we both agree. Maybe its time for sky to hire real managers instead of bellends who think that they know everything about football management simply because they used to follow football instructions from real managers.

What did he say?

It’s not quite as the poster suggested, basically he was asked about if Overmars could return to Ajax and he said “if X presenter can return to tv then I don’t see why he can’t” which, isn’t a great look. There’s also quite a lot of confusion about what the presenter said about/did in this incident 50 years ago which is a layer of confusion, especially given there will be a record of Overmars has done.

It comes across to me more as an attack on the presenter facing no real backlash but I very much am lacking in much knowledge of the situation or context and can definitely see how it could be outright pushing for Overmars.
