The Cantona story about him wearing the jeans is a hilarious exampleYou definitely can. Sir Alex Ferguson can tell you a lot about that.

Eh? Explain that one please...I'd love to hear itOne of the luckiest managers I've ever seen
I wouldn't bother, apparently benching Rashford could have gone wrong therefore he was lucky.Eh? Explain that one please...I'd love to hear it
Exactly, if he let's the better players get away with things then the others will follow there exampleI think people saying dropping Rashford worked out, because he came on and scored are missing the point. Regardless of the result today, the manager should be praised for trying to set a culture that will hopefully benefit us long term, rather than prioritising short term results.
Agreed. Dropping him was fine and good management (as long of course that what Rashford did deserved it), but I'm not sure if going public about it was the right thing to do. Might have been better off saying it was either for rotation or that Rashford had a slight knock/illness.My only criticism of his handling of the Rashford incident is that he didn’t need to tell the media about the indiscipline. He just needed to say that there is lots of upcoming games so there will be lots of rotation.
He doesn’t need to be so honest with the media.
If he says that and we end up dropping points he would've got hammered by the pundits and journalists. I don't mind it, it means the players have to take accountability. My only criticism of his handling of the Rashford incident is that he didn’t need to tell the media about the indiscipline. I think he means in the sense, if we don’t win this game or we lose it then the press will be all over ETH and blaming the fact rashford didn’t play. Everything went in ETH favour which is a good thing. He’s brought discipline and dropped and player and brought him on and it just turns out he makes the headlines for the right reason even though it started in bad terms.Eh? Or when he laid into the entire side after Palace away… then turned and said “Eric you can’t be doing that” after the flying boot to SimmonsThe Cantona story about him wearing the jeans is a hilarious example
Things being in bed was a large part of the problemGood that rashfords come out and put it to bed. He understands the rules and he’s owned up to it.
Bizarre opinion. ETH is far from lucky, considering the shitshow he walked into, he's doing a brilliant job so far. It's something an opposition fan would say. Wouldn't expect that from a United fan. BizarreI wouldn't bother, apparently benching Rashford could have gone wrong therefore he was lucky.
Perhaps he cleared it with Marcus beforehand?
I can see how some might think I was upset or something if I was wanting him to fail, but that makes zero sense as I wanted him to replace ole/ralf from the startI think he means in the sense, if we don’t win this game or we lose it then the press will be all over ETH and blaming the fact rashford didn’t play. And if RVN was still around it would be 15 0. Be realistic we are not buying anybody of that quality in two or three seasons. We can hope for a transfer bargain (say some young unknown striker for 25 mil scoring 15 goals in 20 some games for us)
Let it go mateI wouldn't bother, apparently benching Rashford could have gone wrong therefore he was lucky.

ah yes, best way of showcasing your leadership is asking your subordinate if it’s okay to showcase your leadership
He called him the luckiest manager he's ever seen. That's just him putting his stamp down on the team. Every big call ETH has made so far has been the right one. Its not luckI think he means in the sense, if we don’t win this game or we lose it then the press will be all over ETH and blaming the fact rashford didn’t play. Strange take.
I agree ETH has made all the right calls. He called him the luckiest manager he's ever seen. That's just him putting his stamp down on the team. Every big call ETH has made so far has been the right one. Its not luck
yes it is.
Great pointThe whole Rashford thing sends out a great message to Garnacho, who may still be a little miffed about how he was treated for being late to meetings. Not any more.
three clean sheets too. Obviously not the toughest of opponents, but that's got to do wonders for morale too. Especially with a makeshift back four.3 straight wins after the re-start, can't ask for anything more than that...we all should know by now that they are no easy games in the league.
