I guarantee you that the players group chat is still in denial this is their fault and they think they just need to right manager to unlock their potential. Absolute nutters.
They’re stealing a living from the club, just how the Glazers are sucking the club dry. They’re all frauds.

Make no mistake about it, these players will roll over again for Liverpool. This season will get much worse before it gets any better.

It's a shame that playing football doesn't suit the skill set of our players. :(

Go feck yourself, bellends.

Sick and tired of hearing leaks about players trying to suggest how training and tactics are done. Also have no problem pointing for Ten Hag for not fecking off the lot of them early in the window.

Honestly I fecking hate our squad, trying to think of who I don’t actively dislike and I can come up with the following:

Malacia
Fred (only cos the poor bugger tries at least)
Van de Beek (mainly cos I feel sorry for him)
Martinez (benefits from being an unknown quantity)

Didn't we start with 5 at the back the last time we got pumped by Liverpool? Only for sources close to the dressing room to complain it was too unfamiliar to them and they hadn't had time to practice it and that's why Liverpool slaughtered us?

I also remember we started with five at the back at home against City, which basically made it into an attack vs defence training ground exercise for them.

Five at the back is not the answer people think it is.

As for the leaks, it was inevitable. Its happened to every coach that's had this group. Why would Ten Hag be any different? Keano had their measure a long time ago. As he said, leopards don't change their spots.
Yes, apparently Rangnick didn't let the players know until like 48 hours before the game, not sure why. If properly prepared, it does work, though I cannot remember if Ole was forced because of injuries or he actually had a plan and executed it when it did work.

5 back isnt a guarantee we can shithouse a result, but its probably better than 4231 Ole counter ball

How have we managed to amass the worst group of human beings any sports team has ever seen?!

I hate this lot more than the entire Liverpool and City squads combined. They’re just people who happen to play for rival teams, but mostly on an individual level they are not complete arse holes (bar a few).

The squad needs gutting. All senior players need to go.

THE ENGLISH PLAYERS ARE THE RATS! Two in Lingard and Dean gone. They are the ones most closest to these journalist and using the media to get points across.

It's interesting how recently people have convinced themselves of the idea that a back 5 was the best defensive setup. Traditionally the most stable and easiest formation defensively is a 442, you have two banks of four with everyone having a natural helper. 3 men defenses are specialist defenses, it's the riskiest thing you can do when you are not very familiar with it.

Agreed.

There is a reason why Simeone is the high priest of 442 and why Mourinho's 4231 often morphs into a 442 in defensive transitions.

If you're not used to playing a back 5 you get overwhelmed in midfield and double teamed down the flanks, which is what happened to us against City and Liverpool last season when we tried it.

Yep... every formation has it's pros and cons, and defensive performance rarely depends on formation. If you go 541 or 532 instead of 442 you might have one body more on the last line and naturally have to leave more space in midfield.

Automatisms have to work, distances have to be kept, players have to know when to aggressively push and when to stay back etc... those things are all more important than formation.

I hate this reductive shit with all my heart. We play Liverpool in a spell of form that is almost as bad as ours. We watch Fulham go 4-2-3-1 and play their own game, giving Liverpool a torrid time. Then we immediately shit the bed as a fan base and call for a 5-3-2. Makes me sick to my stomach listening to that small time mentality. They are vulnerable; almost as much as we are. If Fulham can go out there and match them man-for-man, with 4 at the back, then so the feck can we. Are we not as good as Fulham now?

We will never adapt to the way ten Hag desires us to play if we abandon his system at the toughest moments where we make most progress using it.

We just shipped 6 goals in the last two games against fodder. Now is not the time to be stubborn.

It was a throwaway in an article about Maguire potentially being dropped for Monday.
Good he should be dropped cause he is shite.

Few others as well should be dropped with him.

Bleeding brutal.

The squad is toxic and if there is any truth in that quote and If ETH abandons his philosophy and gives in to that squad then I will stop caring until they all go (players)

Eriksen?

Sell all the players.. Basically saying they are incapable of playing football, so why not just sit back and hope for the best..

feck them.. all of them..

Amidst all the excitement and dread that accompany any transfer speculation on here, isn't anyone else worried that we don't seem to be targeting midfielders (assuming FdJ's deal is dead) that would suite our manager?

Casemiro and/or Rabiot/Caicedo don't exactly scream FdJ lite to me. I worry we are trying (probably with good intentions) to improve the first team, but we are doing it to the detriment of our manager.

Looks like we are well and truly fecked.

feck all these players, overpaid mongos. Besides de Gea, Malacia, Eriksen, Martinez and the youngsters.

I'm honestly done with these bellends. Such a weak mentality that they can't even devote themselves to learning a new tactical setup and improving their game. Clear out the leakers and play the kids instead if we can't get in decent transfer options.

I didn't think it was possible to dislike a squad as much as I do, but here we are.

Maybe give something more than a half-assed jog for 90 minutes we might get somewhere, regardless of style.

First 2 matches evaluation from my point of view.

Ten Hag got it tactically wrong with Eriksen as the false 9. Why? A false nine shall has ability and pace to run away from the defend. Which Eriksen doesn't has. Eriksen best ability is the playmaker and creative part of the game.

Second game. Ten Hag admit his mistake. Learn and drop Eriksen down as one of the cm player. But De Gea first goal mistake and too risky pass to Eriksen with a Brentford player right behind is back. Play long when you have too. Don't get stuck on always play from the deep. Choose the way of play when its most benefit. Example if you have to play long to counter, you do it. Why always trough midfield? Same as the goalkeeper.

So Brentford 2 goals up and with the home growd and rising of confidence.

And in the end. Ten Hag shall focus both on the defensive too. Not only focus and build and attack. A team hard to beat and hard to score against are really big big factors , on the patch to succeed. If he only focus on the build and attack, but lesser focus on the defend. Average or weak in the defend. Then it will be a really long way to go.

A rock solid, strong and good organisation in the defend + adding with top flair, creative and attack skill. Like the France 98/02 and Arsenal invisible and Inter treble season with world class CB in Lucio. Are the way to go. Conte and Spurs are trying to create and build towards those 2 factors too. Spurs and Conte with a strong and good defend organisation + adding and spice it with top and really good attacking player in Son, Kane and Kuvuleski.

And from that point of view. I think Malacia and Bissaka is better than Shaw and Dalot in the defend. Shall start overe those 2. United shall have enough creative ability further up the pitch in Eriksen, Bruno, Rashford and Sancho + CF. And Malacia and Bissaka can make good run forward with the ball too. Beside theirs better defensive ability than Shaw and Dalot.

At this moment. I think and believe United best line up is. Most rock solid and hard to score against is:

Bissaka - Varane/Bailly - Martinez - Malacia .

I would look forward to see that back line together.

If we wasnt in for Nunez why did we put a bid in for him? What you are saying is bullshit. It was all over the media. We pulled out when Liverpool entered the race for him.

Can you back that up with a reliable source? No one worth listening to said that we bid for him...just some contacts with his agent. I imagine that happens with dozens of players every summer. It doesn't mean that we 100% want the player and if he joins another club we've "missed out" on him.

Can see us lining up a big move for after the Liverpool game for when we get smashed.

Really like ETH and i think he is the right man to take us forward, but my word he missed a beat not listening to Ragnick and giving "clean slates" to most of these cnuts.

I expected that ETH need time especially in the competitive PL. But never in my wildest imagination that he could had such a bad start. Lost 2 games to mid table clubs with 6-1 score while playing negative football like Ole has never left.

He is learning the hard way, however; how much of that is really his idea…
