Felt similar to that game against Watford that sealed Ole's fate.
Very true but yet he won't be sacked just a couple of days after the game like Ole was

Fair point, but how does that square with the majority of the Caf creaming themselves for ten Hag just 2 seasons ago? When it looked like we would sign Poch there were grown men crying in this forum screaming for ten Hag instead. Why is it hard for some fans and ineos to believe that maybe ten hag is just a yet another terrible recruitment by a regime that has form for not only picking out of date and out of depth managers but the player recruitment is just as bad,
I think if Bayern go out on wednesday, there could be some movement on Tuchel, but we'll see.Very true but yet he won't be sacked just a couple of days after the game like Ole was
Looks like he will survive this week. No major news on his future and no leaks to the medias. Usually, the club will "leak" to the media when they are going to sack the manager. When LVG, Jose and Ole were sacked the medias were full of "leaks"
Let's see how he does against Arsenal.

It also doesn’t tally with what we saw in his first season at the club. Obviously it went downhill a bit after the LC final, but the mood was so different this time last season. He can’t just have become poor overnight, and a new manager bounce doesn’t last an entire season.
So why is it so hard for some fans to understand their must be a middle ground that explains the current situation, other factors and mitigating circumstances (not excuses mind) that are making the job difficult whoever is in charge and it’s not simply a case of the manager is shit, ship him.
He needs to be put out of his misery. Letting him see out the cup final is just setting him up for further humiliation and damaging his future job prospects.
Last nites result probably the straw that breaks the camels back. Problem is who out there is good enough to replace ETH ? I don’t really see anyone on paper.
81 goals conceded this season needs to be made a bigger deal of.
Low quality shots or something wasn't it?

Yeah and that shots against doesn't matter if the results are there.
Don’t think I’ve seen pressure build up so quickly. He simply has to go, I’d be really worried about INEOS if they can’t make this decision.
Was the stupidest thing I’ve read here in a while, especially when one glance at any defensive metric tells you the only teams that concede that many shots are the shit ones yet the WUMs in here still defended it
The unsackable one.
Can it though? This seems like magical thinking. You can't wave a chequebook in a few weeks and replace all the wrong players with all the right ones. That's not how it works or ETH wouldn't be in this mess.
You can't just point at stuff and call it "footballing structure". Taking away perks from lower paid staff isn't going to make Dan Ashworth join any quicker.
I guess we're still in the "jumping in front of bullets to protect the massive corporation" stage for now.
Said it before. It was a reasonable gamble. Even serious football journalists were by and large in support of it as best of feasible options. He was partly lucky, partly more pragmatic last season. Just the wrong type of coach in terms of his partiuclar stubborness around this particular kind of system at this kind of club in this league at this juncture. It might be that he's not well-suited to the PL, at least without a strong SD pressurizing him, full-stop, although there were signs last season that with right players, he could achieve a reasonable style, if one with a ceiling. But with combination of bad recruitment, spearheaded by him, ageing key players, crisis conditions (which new manager bounce can't get around) and his personality weaknesses, it's not working, and no sign it's going to get much better.Fair point, but how does that square with the majority of the Caf creaming themselves for ten Hag just 2 seasons ago? I believe you know what I meant. How many times on this forum we spoke about zombie football ?So winning the premier league with an average squad was down to bad coaching………….
And a cup of tea with a masseuseWe need to back him. He needs to be given an attacking coach and a defence coach.
Might work against Cheaty.Jose on a month long contract.

Comparison: Emery might well be a better coach overall - he still wasn't right for Arsenal at the time. At a different club with different challenges, having polished his language slightly ( since he didn't take the Bielsa route and do everything via translator, which is commendable, but meant he was compared with Wenger, a natural polyglot etc) he's doing well at Villa. It's rather like relationships - lots of individually great people, just not right for each other at all or at a certain time in their lives after a certain period of time.

This is a very reasonable summary, and a fair conclusion. Maybe it’s best for him if he were to move to Bayern/Ajax etc - but I’m still not convinced it’s best for us. Still feels like a rinse and repeat of past mistakes.lots of individually great people, just not right for each other at all or at a certain time in their lives after a certain period of time.

Because he doesn't just deduce his opinions from seeing the games alone.
Stop WUMMINGWe need to back him. He needs to be given an attacking coach and a defence coach.
Isn’t that why he needs the support of the INEOS footballing structure? If he is being let down by the club how is sacking him the answer? Can’t wait for this season to be over but I would still give him till new year to build and see how we fair. I don’t feel like we are at Jose/Ole breaking point with Erik yet.I don't think he's a terrible manager and obviously the problems at United go far deeper than just Ten Hag. I do however think that he's completely out of his depth. The job's too big for him.
And a new GK and a 4 new defenders and a CDM and an established striker and a LW and a RW.We need to back him. He needs to be given an attacking coach and a defence coach.

What if he's the one letting the club down? Are the likes of Antony being "let down" by the club and the manager? You could make that same argument using that logic. We do not have to make 100% sure the manager is at fault for everything before sacking him. The simplest explanation is always the most likely - the club is run poorly and Ten Hag isn't up to the job as well.Isn’t that why he needs the support of the INEOS footballing structure?
