He is going to finish the season below 60 points.

Get Potter in immediately, so he can get the rest of the campaign to know the team and to start implementing changes.

feck me what a depressing post from start to finish

Potter, haha.

I prefer not to speak.

Seems like the pressure is getting to him. Walking out of press conferences etc, when he’s usually cool as a cucumber. Definitely feels like today was a bit of a watershed

So according to Ten Hag the very real prospect of our worst ever premiership season in history isn't important

Today‘s game, it’s obvious that the spirit and togetherness of the team are done and gone.
The players didn’t give up and still fought. But they did so as eleven individuals. This system has taken out everyone‘a soul.

So an even worse manager?

Think he'll do worse than kissing Rashford's ass, whilst finishing 8th/losing to Coventry a fa cup final spot/going out 4th of the easiest CL group/ being on the track for world record of most conceded shots due to palying with no midfield?

Nah. I'm done with excusing ETH.

Also questioning his man-managing capacity. Like, if you trying to do the whole authoritarian/disciplinarian thing - you have to ideally create an environment that leans into meritocracy and at the very least show results/progress. When you fail to do so, then get on post-match interviews throwing players under the bus, players are human - they’re going to start looking at you like opposition.

I do think questioning Ten Hag about his relatively regular falling out with players is fair.

The club and fans stood behind him on them decisions, but when you’re falling out with players and not producing the goods - be it performances or results, then you’ve got some things to answer for and inviting scrutiny over those decisions.

He got sacked from Chelsea whilst looking out of his depth and even worse than ETH.

Even so, the specific comments he was reacting to were so mild.

I honestly have every sympathy with Garnacho if he’s knackered as he is one player who has demonstrated a great work -rate throughout the season and it is on EtH for overplaying him but he was poor in this game and was subbed. It happens. No need for the social media stuff or the United Stand acting like it’s this massive insult to a player to be substituted.

Not saying I agree, just speculating that there may have been more said privately that explains Garnacho being upset.

I think he now knows himself he is gone at the end of he season , that is now almost a certainty. Could be a while if ever before he gets a shot at a big club again.

He also know he is getting nothing out of these players.

I'm not Potter in, but I'd love to see who would actually succeed under that shitshow at Chelsea. He had about 30 players

He must feel like banging his head against the dugout. There’s no way what he’s telling them to do is what we’re seeing on the pitch. But at the end of the day, it’s his job to somehow get them to perform. I do have sympathy - we’ve seen this squad do this to several managers at this point. But that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t take blame. We’re just a broken club.

Again, INEOS should not be going around saying champions league is a prioity and then stick with a manager like ETH. Either sort the manager out at the same time or write the season off. Neither of which they have done.

Or maybe they thought that he can get us there and that replacing him will not really change much. Maybe they just judged it badly.

Again, with them new to the club, learning things and lacking the football people who are supposed to actually have the know-how in such matters, I have no problem with it. I really don't want SJR or Brailsford to be making those decisions by themselves - now in or two months time.

Another uninspired performance where we look clueless and like we haven't got any ideas. Same crap "tactics" if you can even call them that, same formation decisions even though its always the same rubbish. He uses the same players and its always the exact tedious shite.

Just so tired of it all, can't wait for the season to be over.

Wake up. This is the same nonsense we've seen his game week one. ETH is setting them up like this every week. Why do you think the same problems happen every week? We even concede the same cutback goal every week.

Well, then they are even bigger idiots than the Glazers and his fanboys.

You don't even need to be working at the club or be a football nerd to see ETH has failed.

Can he please stop fighting with the players? FML

If they are shite or out of control, just drop them and move them on

How would you set up this team? I wonder how the greatest manager in the history of the game would get more out of this group of players. #challenge

And couldn't even get anything out of the GOOD players he had.

Ah yes, and Poch is doing a splendid job there...

You've changed your tune.

I told you plenty of times. I'm trying to be objective. There are no excuses for today. Players are well rested, Spurs have been dropping points, we should be on the charge.
Instead we look worse with every passing game. And that halftime Garnacho sub, while tolerating yet another Rashford shitshow pissed me off for real.
We got saved by luck. 2 inches away from penalty in extra time.
We make every team look world class against us.
I'm done. Can't see any way anything improves.

What pisses me off even more is that we have genuine chance at FA cup win, yet it's likely we lose to fecking Coventry!

The idea of trusting this bloke who has flopped for another season really does hurt my brain. We look so crap. Coaching staff and this squad massively needs refreshing.

Where did I say the manager isn’t to blame for setting us up like that? It’s obvious that our 4-0-6 formation isn’t working when we’re conceding 25 shots a game and having <5 ourselves.

What I mean is, I highly doubt Ten Hag is telling Kambwala to fall over when he’s last man, or telling Casemiro to miscontrol basic passes. Or asking Rashford to jog about like he’s hungover. There’s a clear lack of quality in the team that means it cannot do what he’s asking of them.

I’m sure he isn’t happy with what he’s seeing - that was my point. But ultimately it’s his job to find a way to get some sort of tune out of them regardless. If we finish 9th he’s gone - FA cup or no FA cup.

In fairness that was happening long before ETH took over. Think Rio Ferdinand or someone else pointed out before about how bad Maguire is at defending those situations.

I think there's merit in the 'not sacking until mathematically out of CL qualification' clause. Ergo, ten Hag isn't going anywhere for a few games yet.

When's the soonest we could find ourselves factually out of the CL for next season?

This would be legit if United weren’t in the FA Cup. But I think he’s going to be allowed to finish the FA Cup campaign regardless.

I've no problem getting Potter in, anything but Ten Hag at this stage but people saying he was dealt with a shitshow as if we're some well run club. We're just as big as a shitshow as Chelsea

For me the biggest indictment is that our disastrous European campaign could have been a stepping stone for him to use the extra time to get the team going but instead regardless of how long we play after we play the same way which to me means that he is just incapable of implementing a style of play. We played a bottom half team today after a gap of 6 days and had 2 shots on target. Anyone who thinks that this guy can do anything with United anymore is just going with blind faith because so far he has shown nothing

I just keep making the same post but I can't help it, how we look this crap, clueless, and without a plan this deep into his reign is unforgivable and shameful.

I think Potter's a pretty good manager tactically tbh, but I would worry that he might face the same issues he had at Chelsea with the players undermining him and calling him Harry Potter and that bollocks. If he'd be prepared to accept an interim role until the end of the season I'd be open to it tbh. Can then assess at end of season. Unlikely that would happen though.
