For me, at this point I want him to be ruthless and at least go out on his own decisions and laurels, rather than trying to shoehorn players in which will get him the sack anyways
He’s brought in 14 players (including loans) and spent 400m in 12 months and we look awful. I can take the loses but there’s no game plan, no style of play there’s nothing to be positive about. Every win is a fecking grind and this goes back to last season it’s nothing new.
I’m not even having this ‘well he finished third!’ Tripe either. The league doesn’t lie but it was a 1 in a million season when Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs are mid table all season. They step up to a higher standard and they look miles ahead of us.
From what I remember, the concern was that Poch was damaged goods after the CL run and was also doing badly at PSG.Nah, I distinctly remember an awful lot of posters reacting to the idea of appointing Poch like it was some kind of comedy suggestion. I can't be only one who remembers that, can't be bothered to evidence it.
We STILL haveMctominay, Dalot,Lindelof, Maguire, Rashford, Bruno,Martialin the squad
Just watch the level of performance they put in over the next couple of games. We're regularly out run by opposition teams. Anyone can put a shift in for a derby. The players are doing the bare minimum required to avoid being singled out. That doesn't mean he's lost the players
You know you've lost the players when they literally stop bothering to run and play. Not when they still hunt for wins, win 3 on the bounce despite lacking confidence and then lose comprehensively today.
His team selection has been shite. What standards? Rashford and Bruno has been stinking up the place all season and they're still there. Grow some balls Erik.
This 100%.For me, at this point I want him to be ruthless and at least go out on his own decisions and laurels, rather than trying to shoehorn players in which will get him the sack anyways
This should be enough for any individual to deserve a sack. He has no excuses this season, and he has failed miserably. Don't know how or when we can replace him though. I guess Ratcliffe will have to get in first to and get somewhat control of the situation hopefully. He’s brought in 14 players (including loans) and spent 400m in 12 months and we look awful. He thought we played well? Crikey
Anyone? There's loads of options. And replace him with who exactly ?
We cannot afford to lose him. We have no money. There is a definite feeling that we cannot go through the cycle of bringing in manager after manager when we always end up with this same toxicity and mess. We still have players whose attitudes stink. Our best players. Fernandes and Rashford, when the going gets tough either saunter like they don't give a hoot (Rashford) or they lose their composure and discipline (Bruno). And these are our key players. It is not professional. Only two players showed up today Onana and Maguire. Maguire's attitude was bang on and considering the amount of abuse he gets is credit to him.I don't know if he will keep his job. You've got to start wondering what the point is at some stage. If the job is bigger than him, like it's looking, might as well put him out his misery. There's a international break coming.

Will cost a fortune to lose him and bring someone in. And we are massively massively in debt to the point we are borrowing money to buy players.Anyone? There's loads of options.

Potter. He is my first choice then. And replace him with who exactly ?

We can't afford to replace the whole team you mean. The manager is very expendable if results are shit, and so he should be considering it's his job to coach the players. We cannot afford to lose him. But I cannot see them shifting Ten Hag anytime soon.
Yes, we are. The Glazers are evil and more importantly incapable to waste so much money we borrowed to fund the transfers. Will cost a fortune to lose him and bring someone in. And we are massively massively in debt to the point we are borrowing money to buy players.
Unnecessarily antagonistic. I'm interested in the points people can make to defend him so we can see if they hold water. I don't think he's a bad manager, but I think he's succumbed to the same toxic environment as those who went before him and the job/pressure is too big for him so that he can no longer be trusted to keep his own counsel. So I agree it doesn't look good. Arguably though, the structure surrounding him is the bigger problem, but we all know that.Anyone still defending this fraud is no fan of Manchester United.
Go to Google, Google who the top 20 young managers are in the world right now and take your pick from any of the reasonable options in those lists. If that doesn't tickle your fancy then there's always Potter, Zidane, Valverde, Bielsa, or if you like something more home grown, Big Sam.Tell us then?
He never really focused that much on possession. Ajax traditionally plays such a style but under EtH they had more focus on transitions than usual, so it is not surprising what we see now.I just can’t get my head around how a manager that at Ajax was all about possession, team interplay and technical football can basically turn into a poorer version of Sam Allardyce in just over a year. My overarching emotion is one of sadness. No idea what has happened at United to cause this but on the surface he has been backed signing he players he wanted.
It will cost more to replace the team so just replace him with someone good instead. One fix can improve multiple players. Will cost a fortune to lose him and bring someone in. And we are massively massively in debt to the point we are borrowing money to buy players.
Potter. He is my first choice then.
