I remember him from quite a few games I watched this season, mainly because I have a habit of betting on Villarreal. I didn't think he was that impressive in La Liga. Very fast, quick to the ball but also quick to the tackle, too quick in fact. To be fair, La Liga players are better on the ball than EPL players. So, that might work in his favor if he joins us. Reminded me a bit of one of those Nigerian defenders from the 90s, Taribo West and Bakayoko or something in the sense that he's a very exciting defender because of his fast reactions.

Bailly also plays as a full back. He has this season for Villareal and those stats include probably the crosses so naturally he'll have a bit lower completion rate compared to CB's.

Hamstring injury which took him out for 2 weeks (missed 2 games)
Shoulder injury which took him out for 3 weeks (missed 4 games)
Thigh problems which took him out for 16 days (missed 4 games)

I think Mourinho intends of using him more like the Ivanovic role.
Have seen him several times this season mostly against the bigger sides and in EL. Looks a bit raw to me but is the type of defender Jose is content with.

He's only just turned 22, that's still young. And I honestly couldn't give a shite about finances mate, United nowadays will always pay over the odds and it doesn't affect me in the slightest, as long as we get the player.

Why is this relevant now?
I had heard of him before (but that's about it), but having never ever watched him, nor knowing how he was on FIFA, FM etc, my opinion of him is solely based on that video on Page 2. One thing is for sure, if we do sign him, he is very likely to rack up the yellow cards. He's very eager to make a tackle, and some of them even seem very reckless. He's fast, powerful, skilful (Surprising thing to see on a Defender really) and loves a tackle. He'd be great at CB (provided he can Head very well as well), or alternatively would do very well as a Full-back. But I don't want to get in over my head by this sudden news about being linked to him. But I do like the look of him.
It's also a surprising link really, I've never really known Mourinho to sign players who are versatile. He usually signs specialists, who are adept in one position.
