EPL Title Race 20/21

If Liverpool end up losing this (and it's a big if), this season will definitely be our biggest opportunity in recent memory to win the title. We should then go and win at Burnley which is a challenge in itself, so that there will be no pressure to win at Anfield. It will then be completely different game when you know a draw will do.
Why, man, why?? You couldn't wait until Pool lose that? If they win, i will blame you :)

Goodness me very wide open now.

Honestly thought Liverpool were going to be 5-6 points clear by end of January, now they could be that off 1st. Completely messed up the last three.

With the goals dried up they'll struggle to beat Man. United and could easily lose at Spurs so more points being dropped in the league this month I suspect.

Man City at least 70% favourites at this point. We clearly don't stand a chance, let's hope we get top 4.

City favorites for me now. United close second with us but it can change quickly.

Do I dare to beleive? Do I get wrapped up in a title chase I'm pretty sure we can't maintain? Do I have the energy to watch all United, Liverpool and City's games for the rest of the season?

It's the biggest chance we've had since Fergie retired. Now or never, Ole.

Come on, if someone had told you a month ago that a win at Burnley would see United go 3 points clear at the top, you'd laugh in their faces.

But here we are.

Wow.

We're winning it baby.

The title is returning to where it belongs.

After 17 games last season Liverpool were on 49 points and 10 points clear of 2nd place Leicester.

Could mental fatigue have kicked in finally? Physically we're only missing VvD and Gomez. But mentally we're missing 7 or 8 players.

City clear favourites now and Utd / Spurs joint second favourites. City should be 6 or 7 points clear in first place at the end of the next 6 six games.

I think we’ll fall a bit back when we go through an inevitable rough patch and a couple of key injuries. City starting to look ominous right now.

Great test for the lads to see where our character is at. Do we take advantage and step up? We'll see! When was the last time we were 1st in the table?
I have a feeling we’ve turned the corner slightly in coming out and playing like absolute shite when the pressure is on, but who knows.

Thought it might have been a Liverpool penalty honestly, but I did only glance at one replay.

If it was given, it wouldn't have been ruled out due to 'obvious error' but I could have seen that given honestly, glad it wasn't!

I want them to get thrashed 1-7 or something on 17th.

The players now need to get all their cajones together and step up. Burnley game is now massive psychologically not just for us but for our competitors.

This is the real test of character and whether we have enough in us to mount a serious title challenge.

Believe.

I think it’s this. It’s why it’s very hard to retain the league - you don’t have the same desire as last season.

Whats all this City talk about, they played good like last 2 games and suddenly they'll run away with it?

Burnley game is huge actually. Win that and prove our credentials. Everything can change really quickly but PL is so exciting this year. Liverpool, United, Leicester, Spurs, City, all in the mix right now.

Liverpool's away form is shocking (even with VVD they got thrashed by Villa). And they have to go to Spurs soon, Leicester, United, Arsenal soon.

This season is all about the best conditioned squad. It's set up for City to go on a run. :(

We’re fecking in this. I think the title winning experience of City and Pool might eventually take them ahead of us but we are definitely in it.
