When do we reckon the declaration will come? 400 a good enough score or do England want more?
Not sure I would declare tbh. If say 5 sessions isn't enough to bowl Australia out they'll have chased down 400 - that would be under 3 rpo

The way we are still batting sensibly (yet still 5 an over) suggests our bowlers would really like a rest until tomorrow.

69 overs bowled with an hour left (includes the extra half hour) - complete joke!

We've lost a session in the first three days,

We've played some brilliant cricket in the last two games. Quite proud of the way they're fighting in this one after the disappointment of the rain thwarting us. On the balance of play Australia really have had a bit of luck on their side.

Yeah couldn't watch myself but enormous credit to picking themselves up after utter heartbreak of Ashes not being on the line

It really needs looked at. 10 30 start so you've 30 more mins in the evening and 90 overs need bowled a day or there's a run penalty.

They should just shorten the lunch and tea breaks if they’ve lost time.

Moeen playing well - great to see him doing well whilst injured.

TBH if the lead is 400 or so having half a dozen overs at the end of the day with fresh bowlers and tired openers from a long day in the field could make the difference

I wanted a minimum 350 lead as I feel a 350 chase in the 4th Innings is tough anywhere, but with so much time left in the game England should keep going until lunch tomorrow or their bowled out.

Only thing is the weather.

Wow what a crazy few deliveries. Starc gets his man. Reminds me of Naseem Shah vs Mendis the other day.

How did we not end up with a batsmen making a ton today!
No batsmen on either side has ended up with more than 1 ton, which is a bit mad. Shows how the batting has been so inconsistent across the series.

Good innings from Bairstow, fair play to him, since the run out he's been a lot better.

A lot of players have been pretty consistent. Just not for daddy runs. Must bea good few averaging 40+, particularly for England.

Little soft towards the end of the day here from England, they need 400+ because of how fast they bat, the pitch isn’t too worn.

This will be chaos for 30 mins you'd think. Wickets and boundaries, probably all out.

Still in a good position, but England making it harder for themselves here.. Just unnecessary.

The Aussies will struggle with anything over 300.

You lot are way too harsh, England have been class - sometimes you lose wickets.

Murphy has gone for 5 an over but he’s made a good mark on this test. And with the bat too.
