That’s what I found so frustrating with Root yesterday. He had a load of close shaves and then basically just kept doing it until he got out??
Australia bowling very well so credit to them, but if we were a more ruthless team we’d be letting them tire themselves out and then capitalising later. We’re still way off their total given the length of our tail.

It's really easy to just sit here and slag everything off. Aussies lost 100-7 yesterday. I didn't see the same levelled at them when Head danced down the wicket and Green slapped a long hop in the air.

Which has come about because of how we batted against the short ball yesterday. I definitely haven’t been slagging everything off, but there’s no point trying to defend the indefensible.
Anyway, hopefully we can keep chipping away at this and get the lead down to stay in the test (and probably series).
