English cricket thread

If you told me that Australia would be 8/120 odd and be in this position now would have asked what drugs are you on.

Been a great comeback off the back of Smiths greatness.

Batting out the day or not... we're 85-5 in a test match. That's even worse then the Aussie's were in their first innings.

Well there's our reviews gone

Bit of a bullshit one that, if the bottom part of his glove was a bit shorter then that's not out.

Painful stuff. Being pummelled on the ropes and we'll soon be on the canvas, no-one can get in and stick at it.

That was a top class catch by Paine.

I disagree about body language. The difference is Ali bowled awfully whilst Lyon is bowling very well.

Bloody hell. I purposefully hadn't checked the score for a while but wasn't expecting this kind of a collapse... probably should have though.

Quite irritating how cricketers shout at any spinner planting it anywhere within 2 feet of the wicket.

9 decisions overturned (7 for Joel Wilson) and there's been a couple that should have been reviewed that weren't as well. Ridiculous.

That has to be a record. Maybe he's on the take.

Woakes should probably be batting at 7 ahead of Bairstow and Moeen.

Aus have to bring in Starc/Hazlewood for Siddle. You need attacking bowlers on these wickets, not hardworking donkeys.

Hard to believe Moeen used to be a batsman. He's late on everything and collapsing over to the offside.

Don't think it will be 5-0. Australia aren't that good. But it's hard to see them not retaining the Ashes.

England look a distinctly average team unless the conditions are in their favour. It's hard to get that worked up about it, given we've just won the Ashes, but you'd hope there'd be some major changes soon, starting with the decision to relieve Root of the captaincy and let him focus on his batting.
