I think it's a toss up. I can see the argument for him. Livingstone would have been more useful than Jacks on a turning deck IMO. Annoying injury.

This isn't a normal Pakistani pitch though, don't remember us getting so much spin on the first day. It's usually in the fourth innings that the pitch opens up for spinners, but even then it's still more conducive to fast bowlers than India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Pakistan pitches don't spin from the off. Must say it's surprising or not. It's possibly the only type of wicket they've got a chance against England.

Probably will have to be these two that get us most of the way towards a 400 lead. Long tail for England which will probably find it tricky in second innings conditions with the spin available. Very strong position for us anyway.
Lead of 354 going into the 4th innings. Strange vibe though - commentators, pundits, players, fans all give the impression that England are massive favs (e.g. 85-90%) but the bookies still have Pakistan at 2/1 ish. I'd side more with the former
