Should have played the young legspinner and one less seamer going by the pitch so far.
We just don’t have an adequate spin attack either way. Likely to lose us this particular match but a long way to go. 350 was probably par.
The England score cards reminded me of the ODI Vs India with Kuldeep taking us to the cleaners but scoring freely of everyone else.
Well still can’t understand why Parkinson was left at home, he should have been brought. But yeah, one spinner and two part timers, all of whom are finger spinners isn’t an effective attack.
Parkinson doesn't look like an international standard spinner to me yet, maybe in a few years. That said - Will Jacks is bowling.
England bowling attack is based around getting a big score and then trying to squeeze through with some pressure. Don’t see how they can win with a 280 score batting first
Is it? Our bowling attack is pretty much anyone that's fit, not sure there's any real plan behind it.
We won plenty of times In the summer with shit scores first up.
To be fair at home; the seamers can make up for the lack of a quality spinner. Away from home on a turning pitch. It’s a different story.
Still think he should have been included and it would have helped develop his game.
