There's nothing in sport like watching a cricket team play test cricket in foreign conditions. Completely engaging, whatever the result.
120 all out?
Ansari not getting much support from the fielders. 4 drops of his bowling this morning.
Think England are favorites at the moment. 260 is chasable with their depth.
There he goes -- bowled with feet stuck in the crease.
Agree, BD strong favourites for me.This will be England's highest run chase in the sub continent. With their weakness against spin, would hardly call them favourites.
It's the only reason we've been able to win for the past 18 months tbhI look forward to the day when England don't bat all the way to #11.
As an opposition fan(not today, I don't support Bangladesh), it is depressing to watch batsman after batsman come out.
Ben Stokes is massively overrated imo..
8 out of 16 (1st test) and 5 out of 10 (2nd test so far) of his were overturned. Stokes' and Cook's decisions were extremely difficult to spot during live play I thought. I have a feeling he'd have given them both not out if there was no DRS, giving benefit of doubt to the batsman. Both looked plumb to naked eye and if there was any tiny bat/glove involved (like in Stokes' case), batsman would be going for DRS. I prefer teams to have unlimited options to review the decisions in test cricket as the primary argument against increasing the number to more than 2 per 80 overs was to deter teams from wasting time, which isn't really applicable to test matches. That's a toughie but Dharmasena
ErmWhat a start by England, was worried about a collapse but this is brilliant.

Just a match before that, B'desh were following on against India desperate to save the test when rain washed out the rest of the match after a little over 2 days play was possible. SA's 1st test was washed out after 2 innings and the 2nd test was washed out before the 1st innings was completed. SA didn't have their best spin player ABD for the tour but it marked the decline of their other best player Amla, whose poor form continued throughout both ODI and test series in India. Not sure I'd consider that as a beginning since enough test cricket wasn't played thanks to the rain. They've done brilliantly in Limited Overs though, winning series against Pak, India & SA as well as reaching finals of Asia Cup but under-performed in the test matches. Its been coming from Bangladesh. You go back as far as the rained out series against South Africa, the first test match here. They are now becoming a proper Asian test side, good at home. Aussies play them next year and I expect Bangladesh to mow them down.
Hameed deserved a start. Buttler needs to come back in too in place of Ballance.
It been our top order batting that keeps letting us down, 30 times since April last year we been 3 down before 75 runs scored. Also just had the worse collapse in test historyIt's not your batting but your spin attack which will hurt you more in Asia.

B'desh came close to a test match win against sides other than Zim/WI on a few occasions, most famously in Multan when Inzamam saved Pak but this is probably the first time they came close in a test series, narrowly losing by 22 runs in the 1st match but emphatically winning the 2nd.
This is England's 2nd worst collapse in Asia (10/64) after 10/51 in the innings when they were all out for 72 vs Pak. Too many left handed batsmen may cause problems, just like it did for NZ recently, during India tour.
