Just 100 % this bitch. Great game. Not a 10/10 though. Legitimate criticisms can be made of some things like the repetitiveness of certain bosses and areas but just an all around fun from soft experience. I do think the summons made things a little too easy, allowing you to smash the shit out of the bosses while they are targeting the other guy.

I had no idea of mimic tear or black knife tiche untill I read it on the caf. Don't know if you mean human summons

There's a Knight in the academy that can parry then one shot you

This game can be really fecking stupid at times. I mean how is this even a thing?!?!

Edit: Just ran past him and took the lift up and the silly cnut fell down and killed himself. Never been so happy to see a pointless enemy slain

No i specifically mean those two . They are very very strong and can literally handle a lot of early bosses on their own and even do loads of damage to the hardest bosses in the game. I never used human summons really, not into the multiplayer side of the game as much.

Yeah, they are still really strong even though they are nerfed. Agreed with those 2 new game is a lot easier. I had completed the game and was into ng+ before I read about mimic tear etc. Defintely 2 summons that can make the game a lot easier. Still getting destroyed by Malenia using my blood build in ng+, but i'm a noob at the end of the day.

Godskin duo can take turns sucking my balls.

Edit: huh and then I suddenly completely murder them.

I tried Black Knife Tiche last night. Could only get her up to +7 but she got absolutely caked by the Fire Giant. My +10 Mimic was much better at tanking but I'm sure for different bosses Tiche has her uses.

All the duo fights are super rng heavy. You get a handful of runs where you face consecutive attacks that flat out can't be dodged, then suddenly they play nice and give you a bunch of windows to attack. I pretty much hate all of them.

Get her up to +10. You'll see the difference then. She's the only summon that actually goes toe to toe with the hardest boss in the game.

I need Grave Glovewort 8 or something. Can't find the one I need atm.

Yeah they're the same thing to me. I think I used up the ones from Nokstella.
Ehh that’s odd, I had a fully upgraded mimic and niche by the time I got to the mountaintop of the giants. Check fextralife for any ones you might have missed, maybe in a catacomb somewhere?

Is that Malenia? I found Mimic much better at her and that was post-nerf.

there's a catacombs in the consecrated snowfields with quite a few

Did those last night. Finally got my Smithing Stone 8s (and a dragon somber smithing stone but apparently that's different to what I need ffs).

Didn't see any Gloveworts though, will check again.

They didnt really give me that much trouble

Crucible knight duo can feck off though. Ended up having to cheese them with (pre-nerf) Hoarfrost Stomp

Was this in Redmane? I found those two quite easy.

if you want a normal dragon one then there's a really easy one to get there if you kill the dragon at the waterfall at the east of the frozen river there's one up there

I think I need a somber one. Are you talking about the dragon at the very east of the Mountaintop cause I killed that one. Don't tell me there's another? Sick of the bastards.

Hmm not sure what you mean.

If you've been using smithing stone +8 then the final one is ancient dragon smithing stone (found at that waterfall). Dont think it's the same dragon, no, this is consecrated snowfield, not mountaintops.

if you've been using somber smithing stones then the final ones are +9 and then ancient dragon somber smithing stone. I've found 2 of those so far but can't remember where.

Yeah I found the ancient dragon smithing stone in the catacombs in the snowfield. But to upgrade my Bloodhound Fang I need the bolded.

Must've missed that. This game is massive.
Ignore it. Worst place in the game. Unless you think dodging THREE of those chariot feckers, dodging traps that one shot you, and dealing with those death blight basilisks in small enclosed spaces is a good time. The loot you get there is pretty bad considering the pain you go through.

Yeah that place sucked balls.

I feel like I'm coming towards the end now, although you can't tell with this game. I'm approaching 60 hours and I don't think there's too much left.

That dungeon is the biggest pile of shite in the game. Though the one that makes you ride the chariot using the awful platforming controls is even worse.

Lets be honest here, the platforming and jumping puzzles are probably the biggest weak spot of the game and feel completely unececessary on top of that.

I get that From wanted to try something new but it basically comes across that they found it cute to insert a bit of Zelda or Tomb Raider in their game without giving the player the tools and responsive controls that make it enjoyable there while making mistakes more punishing.

That's quick. I'm on 100 hours and still have a wee bit to go.

For all I know, I could still have another 30 hours! You don't know with this game. Every time I think "there can't be much more to explore" I stumble on what is basically a mini world.

I usually wait a year before going back in but I might go straight in and start fighting main story bosses with a sorcery build or some shit and just blast through.

For ng+ is kind of a boss rush. The world is already explored. That something is miss from Ds3 and Bloodborne. It's all dungeons and bosses. Here once you've beaten ng, there isn't much left apart from seeing how far you can make it into ng+(?) untill you hit your limit. Destroying the early bosses in ng+1 with your fully developed character is satisfying though.

I'm probably going to switch into dual wielding lordsworn straight swords and using bloodhounds step and some other ash of war on the other, getting rid of all Faith/Intelligence. Only have 1 of those swords though so I'll need to wait for the 2nd playthrough. Either that or try a pure strength build and go for the big weapons, never gone that route before

I like Latenna as an ash summon.

Put her back near the fog door of any boss fight and she can poke with arrows and draw agro which usually means the boss has to go a long distance to get her, giving you time to heal/attack.

I switched from the fang to the Rivers of Blood + Uchikatana (or whatever it's called) - it's a lot of fun but you have to play far more aggressive as bosses can wreck you a lot easier, obviously, as there's no shield and you've less defense. Very different way of playing. I honestly may need to go back to the fang but some of the nasty endgame bosses though, it's served me so well with the turtle shield.

I've been using Uchigatana with frost and moonveil in the other hand still, and then swap out with the occasional casting for distance. Double katanas is great. But I kind of want to just challenge myself more in NG+ and avoid magic altogether and be able to put my own ashes of wars on the weapons, definitely the quick step ash at least.

For bosses two handing rivers of blood and using the skill is way stronger than dual wielding. Melts bosses. And I've only been using it in the end game.
