Gaming Elden Ring - Fromsoftware

I just beat the real Godfrey who turns into Benny Lou, Warrior or something. Is that nearly the end? It seems like it.

Ive missed Melania, where is she?

She's in a big optional absolute bastard of a dungeon you need to solve the puzzle and light some candles in that town at the very north of the consecrated snowfields and then it opens a waypoint to it.

Yeah I think I’ve killed three now. Stopped last night after I got stuck at the Tree Sentinel before what I assume is the final boss.

At farum Azula? Isn't the final boss but beyond that is the point of no return. Certain side quests and stuff can't be finished.

Finally beat Elden Beast today. What a game. Think I’ll need to take a couple of days break from it now though and go fix my marriage

I think I'd rate the game so far

1. DS3/BB/Sekiro
2. Elden ring
3. DS1/demon souls
4. DS2.

The catacombs are the worst aspect of this game by a distance. They've taken the worst aspects of the From games and thrown them into one, big random mess. They're boring to look at, the enemies are bullshit and uninspiring and they're just a slog to get through. I was fighting the Black Knife Assassin and it has to be one of the worst bosses they've done. I was laughing at how bullshit it was.

It's the one big blight on the game.

Yeah they suck balls. Feck those chariots.

The endgame is amazing, just brilliant legacy dungeon after legacy dungeon, lots of great challenging bosses and the open world is a lot tighter and more focused too. I don't really want it to end now. For me the game is at its best fighting through dungeons and proper bosses. The open world is for the most part fine but got very repetitive and samey at times too and the rehashing of bosses and mini dungeons got boring, plus it was too damn easy at times, the level balancing was awful.

Incredible game, says a lot that I'm 100+ hours in and still want more. I'd still rate BB higher, though.

Decided to pick this up after all.
But difficult to navigate on PC M&K, but we move.

Just beat Margit and Godrick and got myself the Bloodhound Fang which is pretty cool. Having a hard time finding the smiting stone for it, though.
I'm not having too hard a time against the bosses.
Its the fecking mobs in the open world that crowd and annoy me.

fecks sake I summoned an amazing co-operator called Sarah who was doing this badass Scarlett rot spell. Had Malenia down to a third of health on her second phase and she one shots me.

Not ashamed to say I just completely got lucky in beating her. It was very RNG. If you have any long range attacks hopefully you can just spam them in the second phase when she does that move in the middle of the screen where's she's still. She did that twice in a row against me and that's the only reason I won.

The worst boss in any Souls game I think (haven't played/completed Sekiro yet).

I did it! Thank you to my summon friends Nimbus and Fotatia. Not afraid to say I mostly stood and watched

Ah right, where you enter a gaol? Some invisible dude kept murdering me and I fecked off.

Sekiro doesnt have any bad bosses difficulty wise. Not that they're not excruciatingly difficult, but they're all fair.

85 hours in and I obviously like it but it’s a bit of a slog now…I think a more focused and balanced game would be far better.

Some of the design choices in From games just baffle me too…yeah let’s add another boss to the battle with no thought to balance…oh, let’s give one an AOE that kills you instantly…oh and in a poison swamp. It’s simply shit at times.

What is the point of those giant fox cnuts that hit you every single time before you can even swing? fecking joke of an enemy.

Wow Moghwyn was weak as piss and I got over 400k runes for killing him.

The location of the merchants in this game cracks me up.

One's casually chilling in the dark inside Mohg's palace playing his harmonica. "Oh sorry, I don't get many customers" - yeah no fecking shit mate!

I have reached the Fire Giant, what level did you guys beat him ? I'm at around 120 and I barely scratch him.
You need to ankle bite, just roll under him and go ham at his legs. Also I think you can get help from Alexander jar if you did his side quest lines. A yellow summon sign is supposed to appear.

If the damage output is low, perhaps you are running some poor stat/wep combo that don't scale well to your stats.

I think I agree at this point. 70 hours in, the first 40ish hours felt absolutely incredible and like nothing else I've played but I'm definitely feeling the length and size of the game now.

92 hours in and I think I’m at end game. I saved after beating Godfrey.

I’d agree the late game feels a bit of a slog. The areas you get teleported to are a bit all over the place and Malenia was a ridiculous boss that I got no pleasure from eventually defeating due to the way I had to go about it. Still an incredible game though. I may possibly NG+ but I always feel that way until I complete a game and then it’s gone.

Malenia is at the Haligtree right? Im dreading her  area itself is a proper feck shithole too.

I'm at the last boss, the very last boss and honestly as a melee player, it and the two headed dragon are the worst for me. At least you can properly target lock Malenia and parry her but these cnuts are just about running around all over the place trying to catch up to them before they unleash some crazy AOE and then feck off again to the other side of the map. Absolutely infuriating fights. Give me Malenia or Radagon any day.

Yup done him after a few tries, with some weapon infusion that helped. Did the Duo in Farum Azula also, but I find that area a little bit hard, the enemies do a lot of damage and they need 3-5 hits from me to die.
I think I've missed Malenia and I'm not sure if I have to do the Consecrated Grounds first or leave it for later.

You get 2 medallion halves from a questline and take Rold elevator's second hidden route to consecrated grounds then work towards Melania, you can do this area after Crumbling, and even after end boss. But if you finish Crumbling you won't get a few of the items located in capital after that, (Lionel armor notably and Omen questline) so make sure you get what you need there before finishing Crumbling. I did Melania as the very last, so that way I was beefed up to make it more manageable. That whole portion is like a DLC. You have many +10 upgrades in Consecrated.

I already have Lionel's armor set and discovered Consecrated Grounds which seems difficult. It makes sense to leave it at the end.

I had this when fighting Malekith as a coop spirit. Just endlessly trying to catch up to him with my huge hammer while the others sorcery it to death.

In a sort of Elden Ring related item, after finishing ER I decided to take a break before giving a NG play through a go. Fired up Ghosts of Tsushima (absolutely beautiful game by the way) and proceeded to throw my controller across the room after 30 min of continuously fecking up because the ER control scheme is ingrained in my muscle memory.

Mmmok I beat her with the Mimic Tear on my 6th try by just powering throigh her attack with 80 poise and a +25 great stars.

Surprised no one's mentioned the single most important thing in any Souls game and how this game is the best of its kind: FASHION

I mean what is everybody wearing? And you have to admit this has the best armor sets and quirky, campy attires in any Soulsborne game. My lady prophet looks like a boss in some of the trophy videos that pop up on the PS5 and it's always cool to do a little flex for the camera after beating a main boss :D

Finished it!

Fantastic game overall and probably one of the best I’ve ever played. I know people say not as good as BB but this suits the way I like to play a lot more and I definitely got sucked into it in the end. Can’t believe at one point I was trying to get a refund  that was so early on as well.

You should absolutely play BB if you ended up loving this. Should be way easier to get over the initial difficulty barrier now. The combat, bosses, and dungeons in BB are all better.

I look like I should be the main villain of the next guy’s story.

The fat suit with the Fire prelates helm while dual wielding colossal swords. But just to show people I have so much endurance I can wear it without fat rolling.

When I want to look bad ass, it's eitger the crucible or Radahn armour.

Why did you want to refund it anyway?
