Gaming Elden Ring - Fromsoftware

Has anyone beaten the double crucible knight boss? It's like Ornstein and Smough on a lot of crack with unlimited poise and more armour.

If you're thinking of getting this on Xbox you can get it off Gamivo for £23.

Use a VPN set to Argentina to redeem the code on Microsoft.

You can have multiple characters at the same time, but what you can't do is save from an earlier point with the same character then go back to it. I actually restarted multiple times to try different classes and see what I liked best!

The Twinblade is fantastic - an absolute must for anyone going dex early if you ask me.
Have you seen that Darth Maul video doing the rounds, it’s looks absolutely epic with the twin blade. I really want to do that!

I swear there's some programming in the game to make the boss spam attack when its near death.

Lost count the number of times I went hard for the killer blow only to get destroyed by the boss.

Red Wolf of Ragadon is doing my head in. Gonna level up a bit more and go back later.

He doesn’t have much HP so I recommend sticking with it until you learn his attack patterns and it should be a breeze.

Gotta say, boss difficulty is wildly varied.

First Lord Godfrey took what, four tries, and I made countless mistakes in the successful attempt... for a good player, this one should be easy.

And then the very next boss is back to neverending combos, phantom hitboxes, and heatseeking delayed attacks. But about every two minutes you have a half a second window to land a light attack. Fun.

Went back to Limgrave to see if I could take on some of the side bosses. Beat the cat sphinx (easiest boss in game??) and the Stonedigger Troll who should have killed me as I was rubbish but I did so much damage I got away with it. Tree Sentinel and the Dragon are still too much for me so will come back later for them.

The tree sentinel guy looks similar to Gyobu from Sekiro or is that wrong? People who've played that shouldn't have much trouble vs these guys.

I’ve found riding past over and over on a horse and swiping to be quite effective but it feels a bit cheap. I took out the entire convoy with the two giants pulling it that way though.

Equally I keep actually stopping playing because it’s frustrating and I need a break. The next day I feel like I want to try again though.

That's it, the crucible knight Ordovis with his buddy Crucible knight are impossible.

Yeah I'll go back to them later. Was hoping to summon some help but didn't see any summoning signs either.

I haven’t got the patience to play this game but it looks so good.

If anyone is struggling - get yourself the Bloodhound Fang weapon and start upgrading, best weapon in the game for me because of its massive L2 attack.

Coming up to 80hrs in - still having nightmares about the Astel, Naturalborn of the Void boss fight - took me two days.

Well, this is the most accessible one of these if you were toying with the idea of jumping in. You don't have to keep banging your head against a wall on a certain boss, and can just go out and explore instead. You'll have to defeat the boss eventually, of course, but you can level up first then come back to them.

I came across the best player message in the game so far last night. I went up a long ladder and there was a message there right at the top, saying ‘Great work, snake’

Genuinely couldnt stop laughing for a full minute

Godfrey 2nd time is impossible. They are taking the piss with the end game bosses.

I would mind Rennala so much if it wasn't for having to do that stupid ass first bit over and over again to get to the actual good 2nd part, especially with such a long run back.

Do you get a health refill if your message is appraised? That happened to me a few times yesterday I think.

I think this will be the first soulsborne game I won't be able to finish. Also it's not fun getting hammered by nearly every major boss.

Again, it seems like FromSoft have made dex/int builds the most OP. The moonveil katana and that sword of night and flame are so ridiculously broken you'll be gimping yourself playing any other build. And here I am as a full STR build feeling like the Jewish kid on Christmas watching all the other dex/int players pulling off huge numbers while I hulk smash and miss during every tiny boss attack window.

Once you upgrade a summon - i.e the Wolves - the game becomes alot easier. The Mimic, Oleg and Lhutel summons are absolute tanks.

Don't know what exactly is wrong with my build.

I'm level 41 and still getting absolutely destroyed in Stormveil castle. The banished knights are giving me complete nightmares. They have large health pools, hit like a truck and have incredible range. How can I kill them effectively? And the birds too, feck the birds ffs.

From software games have always had dubious balance at release. Especially in PvP. They are approached from a single player perspective and then they are reactionary to whatever the community says is OP. It's a slow process but it will all level out. That seems to be the design ethos, they'd rather the community says what they want than try to figure out balance from the start.

That moonveil will be gimped beyond belief in a matter of weeks. They always go over the top as well and make the OP weapons pretty bad.

I had 5k of runes worth in my inventory last night before I saved my progress only to start again today to have 0 in my inventory.
I hate this game.

What build are you running? Could be possible that your vigor is very low too. Also make sure you're constantly upgrading your weapon as often as you can. It makes more of a difference than levelling your primary attack stat. Level 41 should be comfortable for Stormveil tbh.

The birds are massive shitters though.

I just beat the game.
