Television Doctor Who

Sorry yeah, I meant to write Moffat. Brain fart there.

The whole Dalek thing is in her future I think, the Christmas special though I don't really know unless they're going to leave at "strange things happen in the universe"

I hope not. That got really confusing with River Song.

I've no idea what the episode this weekend will be about, but I'm glad its back.

Woo, can't wait for this. Love doctor who.

Rose back, 90 minutes, the big screen in 3D. feck yeah.

That news will be everywhere if true, no chance you'd be able to avoid it between now and end of November

To be fair I had already predicted it to the girlfriend, purely from Doctor Who history

The Three Doctors and the Five Doctors having been done befoire

But I bloody hate being spoiled, and I didn't know that it was confirmed. Besides I spend a lot of energy trying not to be, so I might not have been spoiled!

Spoiling cnuts.

brilliant....I need to get a copy so my mother can watch it in bed (she is unwell...). This will bring a cheer to the day.

The 'problem' with Clara is that she is so stupidly fit that I spent 90% of that episode concentrating on her face, rather then what was going on. Which will prove problematic once they get in to the confusing stuff

As for the 10% of the episode I did concentrate on today, I thought it was really good. A real marked improvement from the rubbish they served up to us in the first half of the season.

"We want the finest minds available to humanity, we want them here and we want them now."

I thought the concept was absolutely shit, but Clara was good and together with the Doctor, they saved it. Looking forward to the next episode, hopefully with a decent plot

People got uploaded to the internet then the doctor saved them, huzza!

Really though, the only important/interesting thing that happened was that the Great Intelligence was officially introduced.

Doctor Who is just basically nonsense isn't it?

Granted I watched this after a night out and completely pissed, but there seemed to be about 5 plots, and none of them made any sense at all. The girl was fit tho.

I am definitely drunk. There were definitely more plots than there needed to be tho. Richard E Grant was in one, but that may have been an hallucination.

Didn't care much for the story but I liked the interaction between the Doctor and Clara and she is less annoying than Amy. Good start.

Bbc officially announced it today so you know they will be advertising it everywhere nearer the time

I liked Clara when she was a lesbian in emmerdale.

Spot on , Dr Who has been like that for years, but I love it and all the sub plots usually come together in the end.

I liked the new ep , Clara and the Doctor worked well together.

Usually to rip something off you need to have started after it.

Something science fiction has always taught us is that aliens really, really like markets.

I've only been watching Doctor Who since it was relaunched but i can't really remember any episode that has felt like another show/film but this episode just reminds me of Star Wars. Maybe it's just me.

Tbf, anything with rubber aliens is going to make you think of your favorite thing with rubber aliens. Though i'm sure Start Wars probably popularised the Alien planet = Middle Eastern Bazaar trope.

Also to be fair, this is complete nonsense.

What a load of shit that was.

Matt Smith really does deserve far better storylines. The current ones arent a patch on what Tennant usually got to work with.

Really strange episode that. For once, I don't actually understand what's going on. That ending was weird.

I hope it won't be a different Clara for the up-and-coming episodes. Seems as if the trailer for next week's one included a different Clara again, (according to a friend of mine).

I've lost count of the times I've begun to give Who credit and think "you know what? it's kids TV, but it's an interesting and very well written show" only to be confronted a few weeks later with an episode where they save the world through the power of friendship, or love, or singing, or some other such silly abstract concept, interspersed with Deus Ex Screwdriver overload. That one seemed like it was written by Bob Geldoff trying to get another Band Aid going.

This is what happens when you commit yourselves to too many episodes, and tell 10 different writers to go off and write filler. This is pretty much the only British show that runs like an American one in that regard, and it's consequently also the most inconsistent one on TV.

Some of the lines which Clara had were terrible and made her and the girl seem wooden at times. I was hoping we wouldn't have a repeat of Amy + Rory in their final season as their episodes (building up to their exit) were just as bad.
