Television Doctor Who

You mean this one?

That's Matt Smiths old outfit.

Purple long jacketed suit. Think Austin Powers. :) He looks the PART for a Doctor though!! Back to the good old days (70s). Yay.

Surely the whole popularity of Dr Who rests on the fact that everybody of every generation thinks their "day" is the good old days?

Also I made this for an article recently. Best place to put it really.

Anyone else think the new doctor looks a bit too old? Also, how did he regenerate again? I thought he couldn't regenerate a thirteenth time. Timey wimey stuff I guess.

Did you watch the episode?

Time Lords can gift new regenerations, which has already been established in lore. They gifted The Doctor more regenerations through the crack.. Although it was a bit cheesy how they did it.

As for looking old? Capaldi is the same age as Hartnell was when Doctor Who started.

He doesn't even look as old as Hartnell either!

Just found out that Clara bird is in a relationship with Robb Stark. That's a downer.

I'm not sure he's ready for another wedding yet, so there may still be hope.

Any word on when the new season will air?
found this after a quick search.

Currently, BBC is mum regarding the exact details of the upcoming series. As for the release of the show, it is expected to take place by the end of the summer, with both the Guardian citing an autumn release and director Ben Wheatley saying he hopes Doctor Who will go in July. However, there are no confirmations yet and the final date could still change depending on filming.

I was a big fan during the RTD era, and I also really liked Matt Smith's first season, but my enjoyment level with the show really dropped after that. I actually haven't seen any of Series 7 at all, aside from catching the 50th Anniversary Special (which I enjoyed except for the decision to retcon The Doctor's double genocide of Timelords and Daleks). Going to tune in again to check out Capaldi and see how the new season starts, actually really looking forward to it.

Returns in august. Hopefully they do a complete run of the episodes instead of having a stupid mid-season break.

The only time The Master is coming back, is when they bring The Time Lords back.

Think the 2nd teaser released yesterday makes it obvious it's Davros as the bid band this season.

If they bring The Master back, it has to be John Simm.

I'll be keen for another regeneration of The Master actually. Not that Simm wasn't brilliant (I loved his Master), but his interaction with Tennant's Doctor is a big part of what made it so special, and it's only right that Capaldi gets his own version of The Master to face. But yeah by the looks of things, it looks like it's all heading to a finale featuring Davros.

Wow that is a big spoiler for all the GoT show watchers........Davros leaving the side of Stannis to join Dr. Who and all.

white text and all

Am I the only person who gets really bored with Game Of Thrones references permeating everything?

Now that Breaking Bad is finished, there needs to be a new holder of the Most Annoying Fans On The Internet title, and it's definitely Game Of Thrones.

Nice to see Garrus from Mass Effect at 0:28 there. Good that he's found work.
