Ok. But we sold someone that was playing out of position and got a reputation for being poor, they just happened to be the best player that we had on either side of the pitch, but not great in the position they were playing.
Nani was inconsistent and could never get that out of his game. Towards the end of his time here, he was poor. The fact he didn't do too much at club level after United speaks for itself.

He may not good enough to be in the consistent first 11 for United. Perhaps he is just feeling the fatigue for being available consistently without any proper back up, or maybe he is just not good enough. Either way, it is kind of appalling for a club like United to not have a good back up, let alone a better RB/RWB to replace Dalot in the first 11. This case is not just for Dalot though. One of EtH big mistakes were having poor rotation policy, and I think it is affecting some of the players which led to major injuries like Martinez, Shaw and Mount.

It is a huge miracle that Bruno is always available at this point.

Needs a break, but can't have one, so is gonna muddle through and get slated for the rest of the season.

Yep. Without checking I think it's a safe bet that he's played more games for us than anyone else this season.

So incredibly stupid with that cut back instead of crossing it to Hojlund who had a tap in. These sort of decisions happen way too often.

He's really struggling lately and realistically he's not a good fit for the system.

Should be a player who is worth more to other clubs than he is to us.

I wouldn't pass it to Hojlund either tbf.
But he was in the right place on this occasion. Striker struggling for goals, low on confidence is begging for a goal to kickstart his season and Dalot thinks, you know what, I think i'll just ignore that and do a cut back. Just...why!?

Should've played the ball to Hojlund, regardless of how Hojlund is performing. What the striker does with it you can't control, but you can do your job and cross the ball for your striker who is in a good position.

I seem to remember some time last season there were rumours of an issue between Dalot and Hojlund where Dalot was not passing Hojlund the ball.

I used to think he was a decent player, that we could fit him into the rebuild as a solid pro who would be unspectacular but safe pair of hands (Wes Brownesque maybe).

But this season he has been the player to infuriate me most with his braindead decision making, crowd pumps and walking around the Cantona chest out. Youd think he was prime Cafu.

Ill give him credit that he is always available - but he should be nothing more than a backup in the rebuild. If we got a half decent offer we should move him on.

He's playing a key position that requires quality both in and out of defence , the wing back in this system is a key player in attack which leaves us relying on Dalot in every game then we wonder why we create feck all

One of the most annoying things about him is that on the rare occasion he has shown he can cross a ball pretty well and is willing to do it early, has shown he can beat a man and that he is willing to get to the byline but for 95% of his time on the pitch he does neither. Technically he has the gifts just doesn’t use them.

Cut back and pass it to Bruno instead of taking on the responsibility. Just makes so many poor decisions but he is not alone in that.

Be interesting to see what happens with him long term as right now he seems to really be struggiling to fit in to what is required.

His general play today overall was really poor. Seemed to have so many unforced errors.

I actually think he might be the most brain dead player we've ever had.

This or he's massively throwing every manager under the bus. He missed an absolute open goal in one of ETH last games. Ignoring that pass was just madness, couldn't get my head round it and neither could Robbie Savage. It was mind-boggling.

I also think his decision to head across the keeper and not straight and over the keeper was an odd decision as well. Seemed such a simple headed finish.

Dalot gets a lot of stick here.

Fact. He is absolutely hopeless at cross the football. Odd, because it isn't a very difficult skill. The ball is generally rolling and you just have to bang it into the middle and hope people get on the end of it. If you are better you can actually aim for people. He simply doesn't seem to be able to do this.

But, he seems to have a lot of good attributes. He's quite quick, good at tackling, good close ball control, can control a pass and bring it down out of the air. It's just the final part of putting the ball into the box where he absolutely fails for me.
Why did you go and say something positive. He was absolutely awful today. Everything that everyone complains about him was on view today. Show's you don't know what you are talking about.

I think Robbie Savage thinks he should have crossed for Ramus in the first half. I think he mentioned that.

Yeah, he would have been able to cross that ball if he was playing in a back 4.

Hard not to be a bit fed up of him at this stage - just not up to it.

I’d sell if a decent offer came in? Or it’s back to being back up for him

Could you imagine if he used his powers for good instead of evil?

Imagine him coming forward with the ball and driving down the wing stretching the other team out and then just whipping it across the box. The other team would be absolutely panicking about him and would create much more space for us.

However I just can't see him doing it, I think he's a lovely bloke and works hard but his decision making is so bad

He’s being deployed as an attacking wing back in a 3-4-3 when he’s actually a right back in a 4-3-3. Square peg in a round hole hi lighted by it being such a critical attacking position in Amorim’s system.

He is a decent player. More than decent. He’s just one of a number of players who has been sub-optimised by a system introduced by the new manager. He is one of the best RBs in the league. He’s not a WB though. The same goes for Mazraoui. He started the season as a unanimously brilliant signing and was great at full back. He’s also not a good WB though.

This is my biggest beef with him. His football intelligence is absolutely appalling.

Cracking at high fives though.

Intelligence? Passing it to Hojlund was the most natural thing to do. It's muscle memory. It's what you are told to do. You actually don't need to think.

Why the fock you go and do something that is the total opposite of what you've been thought, trained and instructed to do? It wasnt his miss against West Ham and the open goal. I lost it with him when he had few feet in front of Johnson, and Spurs where in attack. He was running with the player until our box, where he simply stopped running and he let Johnson have a tap in at the back post.

All of his performances since have been like a post mortem. I want him gone, or on the bench. He has been put so many times in good positions where has one on one, and it ends up in nothing.

Every game he has these braindead moments which costs us big time.
