He was poor again. He's even started to dribble the ball out of play with no one around him.

No he wasn't? What did he do so poorly? Do you only remember his poor cross with his left foot in the 93rd minuted when he was knackered? Did you forget him putting the ball on a plate for Mazraoui?

Pure agenda calling his performance shocking today. No one was shocking today besides maybe our strikers as usual.
What about the break he had early in the 2nd half, when he let the ball bobble about and run out for a throw in, wrecking a promising position?

Defensively he was solid today. Won nearly every challenge on his side. Attacking wise he was poor, but then he nearly always is. That's what you get with Dalot.

A bit of a mixed bag but mostly good. I think the moment where he won a tackle brilliantly and was about to bomb forward only to run the ball out of play kind of sums it up in a lot of ways.

Fantastic cross for the Maz chance though.

Good defensively, should have got an assist from the Mazraoui cross. Good performance. Hopefully appreciated elsewhere under a good manager in a back 4.

He has everything except football smarts. I think that's easier to fix than somehow making him stronger, faster and more technically proficient. He's already all of those things but he needs to start using them better. I like him as a player and would definitely not sell this summer. It's a miracle that he's so consistently available, i remember him being almost as injury prone as Shaw is right now. He's gone from that to playing 99 games in total between last season and this one.

Baffling comments here

Solid defensively and put a chance on a plate for Maz which was only denied due to a top save by Raya, good performance

Baffling but no surprise sadly. Many have a clear agenda that even when he plays fine they'll come on here to say he was shit cos he dribbled the ball out of play once or fist bumped too much or admitting to not liking his face

Other than a couple of moments he could have made better decisions ( in very simple situations) he had a good game. Won his battles defensively and always has the energy to get forward.

If we can get him todevelop the mental side of his game he would be very effective.

Got to love the fact that he is physical, athletic, fast and robust. He’s always up for the fight too.

If you ever wanted an example of how brain dead this guy is just take a look at the header he won mid way through the first period in the arsenal half from an Onana kickout.

He charged out of left wing in front of Zirkzee to win a head trying his best to power it towards Arsenals goal. He seen Zirkzee, so who was he heading the ball onto? Complete and utter stupidity when the ball was going straight to Zirkzee without his intervention.

This actually cracked me up when it happened  It was so Diogo Dalot it was as if he was parodying himself.

He was good defensively today, but that’s not what he’s supposed to do in this role. He’ll be replaced in the summer and used as a sub, or sold

Have you noticed how rarely we win an attacking header? He worked hard today, every mistake he makes at the moment is pounced on. I've a pain in my hoop with it. We're ALL shite at the moment, top to bottom. Circle the wagons time, have a go at them if they're not rolling their sleeves up, fair enough, otherwise I say get behind them. Dalot's in the team come hell or high water and he's better than he's showed this year. I'd say get off his back for a bit.

Dalot is not a top calibre premier league full back. It’s as simple as that.

Like a comedy sketch at this moment, he literally can't even run in a straight line with the ball without letting it run off the pitch.

Well it's not as simple as that, is it? We've no dosh, we've no real alternatives and a confident Dalot is considerably better than the version we're seeing at the moment.

I mean, that happened once. Literally would mean he literally can't ever dribble in a straight line. Do you literally think this?

Also, how is that your main take from today's game where he kept his opposing player quiet and almost had a fine assist if Maz had picked a corner to make it 2-0.

We’ve never seen him be confident for a prolonged period of time. His standout season I feel like he got recognition because he was less bad, not much better. You show me another top level footballer that’s capable of running the ball out of play the way he did today, keeping in mind the last such occasion was a few weeks ago when he did almost exactly the same thing.

What do you see as the alternative right now? You want to throw Amass in there? Point is we are what we are at the moment, we haven't got a better option and us sitting here and picking out every little error is not doing anyone any favours. We played Arsenal today. Arsenal. Second in the League. For the last 3 seasons. 7-1 winners away from.home the other night in the Champions league. We were massive underdogs. Dalot was good defensively, should have had an assist and what some people want to talk about was that random lapse in concentration. It's pointless.

It wasn’t the only lapse in concentration, there was a point in the first half where the crowd turned on him for going back the way. He’s a symptom of why we are where we are, accepting mediocrity at best and hoping it can flourish into something. We have no other options, but I don’t think that should excuse how consistent ineffective he is.

If we start next season with him as the RWB, we are shooting ourselves in the foot.

I obviously don't just take that from his performance but he does a hell of a lot wrong.

I'm not a fan at all.

He did the same thing a few weeks ago

Well sure, we can keep pointing at his failings. And Onanas. And Garnachos. And Hojlands. And Cas, Maguire, De Ligt. Etc. And maybe hang in there till Heaven starts making mistakes and get stuck into him. Everything's wrong at the moment. I say let's just accept our shitness for the rest of the season, stop bitching and get on with supporting them.

Dalot has been a mainstay of the team for a while now, without offering any noteworthy returns. He’s been crap since we got him.

This was baffling, but my favourite Dalot moment was him breaking on the left in plenty of space, only to kick the ball out of play completely unchallenged.

He's nowhere near good enough, and replacing him should be one of our top priorities.

That cross to Maz was a peach. That cross is so often on and our players don't pick it out. On his left peg too

This guy has the top 10 worst moments of all the United players this season. From missing an open goal v West Ham, not squaring it to Hojlund, letting players pass him to score, winning headers that are going back to the oposition when in fact his teammates can receive the ball, to run balls out of play unchallenged. He did the same against Fulham, not just today.

What's really getting on my nerves is that he is put into a one on one positions each game, and he refuses to attack the oposition right back. There was a moment in the first half tofsy when he went from almost the oposition corner flag with a back pass all the way to the half line, and you can hear the anger in the crowd. Every game he has these 2-3 actions, which makes you scratch your head.

Thought he was a solid 6/10 which is an improvement on the 4s and 5s he's been giving all season.

The incident in the first half when he had a chance to swing in a cross on his right foot and chose to go backwards instead, really riled the crowd.

Few braindead moments as usual but better than his normal performances but hes hardly up against anyonr world class in that arsenal team was he. Hes not good enough if we want to get to challenging and has been here how many years delivering the same average performances season after season hopefully he is upgraded with someone with some end product and a better footballing brain.

Dalot is OK today but certainly not as solid as those claimed him to be. Tons of crosses and Arsenal's link-up play from his side and he barely pressed close enough for them, and the only differences were that these crosses not end up in goals.

With that said, Dalot's cross to Maz is sweet. Can't deny it. He needs to produce lots more of such moments till we can call him a solid starter.
