Can't play LWB to save his life.

This blind, no look pass into the centre he continues to do is utterly infuriating.

Play him on the right, or don't play him.

People are a little harsh here, but its very very clear he should never ever play on the left unless its against Alexander Arnold. The best thing we can say about him is that he's so woefully out of his depth there, but tries his best as he keeps being put there. He actually had a decent season last season on the right and is a more than capable right back or deputy right sided player. This has to stop. He cannot play on the left and its killing that side of the team.

His own form has suffered massively due to playing on the left for 1.5 seasons now basically. Was hoping that has signing a left back would push him to the right but I guess not

He’s only had 1 good game under Amorim and that was more due to Alexander-Arnold’s deficiencies. Growing up watching Sharpe and Giggs it is so painful seeing him in the left flank. At one point in second half he had the ball in the box with Garnacho overlapping and he passed it back to Bruno in a completely non-threatening position.

As bad as he has been… the manager has to take some of the blame.

Tonight proved that the inverted wing backs is intentional.

There is something that he prefers about that shape. I for the life of me can’t figure out what the hell it is he sees in it.

But he hasn’t at any point in any game so far had a left footer at LWB and a right footer at RWB.

I was convinced it was just down to lack of squad options…. But today he had all the options he could possibly want, and still went double inverted.

It’s got to the point where he’s being done a disservice. He can’t play the role and he knows he can’t play the role. His confidence is in the bin, which isn’t very helpful when you consider his footballing IQ has always been lacking.

Like Mazraoui, he’d work well as the RCB in this system. He’s great in the air, physical, good on the ball. But none of that is really helpful when he’s receiving the ball on his right foot and being forced to hopelessly kick it inside or back to the LCB.

Dalot is a decent right back, but he has no business starting in this system as he currently is.

Dalot was quite good for the final half an hour. His movement and runs played a part in us really starting to stretch Leicester's defence, and once he got into those areas he generally played it short and smart to others to make the final ball. Which is better than him wasting the ball, even if we'd prefer he'd play good balls in himself.

But for the first 60 minutes he wasn't providing anywhere near enough when we had possession. Wouldn't have helped that he had Mainoo doing basically nothing ahead of him, but Dalot still needs to be willing to run the ball down the line himself instead of passing it backwards every time. He's got the pace and power to go past players and he's shown it at times, but he needs to do it much more often. It is harder to do on his wrong side, but certainly not impossible.
