That skill against West Ham will be what the tards on here will be ***ping over in a few years time claiming he actually wasn't such a bad player for us and we were all gutted that he was sold.

Its like the ones who still love Veron for that one amazing game in a pre season friendly against Juve

Random Berbatov fact of the day:

Berbatov scored 12 goals last season. Of those 12, 10 came against sides in the bottom half of the table. The remaining 2 goals came against Everton (7th place), and Blackburn (10th place).

In fairness the Berba on this one, these are the only teams he really played against

If only it could've been 2 against Blackburn (one in both games), we'd probably still be PL champions...

Can't believe it was 30 Million, probably the biggest flop in the history of the Premier League. Shevchenko would be around the mark too.

Sheva was a much bigger flop than Berba is. Compared to Sheva, Berba is a raging hard on, in fact.

Robinho and Sheva are the biggest flops in PL history. Veron would sadly be up there too.

Yep, it was quite a puzzling statement. Berba has not done anything in his career even for Spurs or Leverkusen to suggest he should be in this category.

He looked fantastic for Spurs for 2 half seasons, that is all

I said he wouldn't look out of place on a training field in that company, funnily enough I mean't that quite literally. Do we really have to get into a discussion about how that's a very different thing to saying "I wouldn't swap Berbatov for Messi"?

Personally Berbatov is way over rated his past record testifies to that but that is all moot at the moment.

SAF will stick with Berba but I am not holding my breath for Berba to repay the faith SAF has put in him he seems not to want it enough. I think he has lost his hunger he has reached what he feels is his pinnacle. I would rather have someone like Hernandez who mentioned one day he would like to play for Real as it shows that he is ambitious and to get to play for Real he will have to make it United first. When someone says I have reached my peak the only way is down.

The fact is that Berbatov is a quality footballer, he would not look out of place training with Messi, Kaka, Ronaldo et al.

He looks out of place training with Rooney, Giggs and Scholes!

Herndandez, Rooney, Nani, King, Obertan, Macheda, Welbeck, Diouf - all under 25. And are all talented players.

Some of our fans are such spoilt twats it's hard to comprehend at times.

you are a muppet, a big sad muppet.

He sold Veron to Chelsea for half the price we paid.

Nothing to say that someone won't be looking to splash some cash (perhaps if City sign Dzeko for example) and we can't benefit. If the Benzema deal happens, I'd be more inclined to expect Berba's departure.

look at the bright side lads, he's 29 and a half years old. worst case scenario he's only here for 5 more years max. :D

If Berbatov is injury-free (knee injury last I heard) and has a full pre-season training, I think he will surprise us as to how well he can do.

Let's hope so.

He'll certainly know that this is without doubt his make or break season. So far, he's buckled when ever under pressure, which does concern me. But you live and learn.

And with Hernandez in the squad we're nowhere near as reliant on Berbatov as we were last season - something which could well suit Berbatov.

I was looking for this video. Wow ... Those who play, know how difficult/impossible it is to kill that ball

...and look at his body language. This is simply who he is and some fans hate him for that, but that doesn't make him any less of a footballer.
Berba could make any woman...you know- with a touch like that :D

He has been absent from the news and forums for a while, attention having shifted to the likes of Rooney, Hernandez and Balotelli. Hopefully he finds enough room to get back to his Spurs form

The fan's don't hate him. They just don't rate him. Clear difference. The vid did sum up Berbatov to a tee, do something flash when the pressure is off.

Exactly. I don't want to see Berbatov as first choice. It's because the sight of watching him lumber about the pitch on the same wavelength as noone else in red and just generally looking out of place, is something I'm tired off, and I don't believe will change. It has nothing to do with hating him.

He did better last season than his first, I think he'll be even better and more productive than last. A feeling I have.

What I do know is he'll be first choice partner to Rooney or Rooney's replacement when (cross fingers it doesn't happen) if the need arises.
