What is there to say about his performance ? Top stuff and the 2nd goal :drool:
I also liked his non-excitement attitude cause he had in mind the tough times he endured not that long ago.

Im just going to sit here with a smug look on my face being one of those who've ALWAYS backed him and not once fallen into the easy trap of following the trend of the Berba hating thats reached nothing short of shameful levels on this website at times.

Its easy to say i told you so but feck it i told you so, as did many others, so the likes of...actually no i wont name names you know who you are and so does everyone else, maybe youll learn to understand football a bit better from now on......

I've been biting my lip trying not to write a post like this for half an hour! But you're right I don't know how anybody could have doubted a player of his obvious class.

Don't be so bloody smug just because some people prefer to see evidence rather than rely on optimism.

You can only logically debate the facts, but maybe some people preferred to deal with probability or possibility. Fair enough, but you can't blame those who judged him on what he did, not what he was capable of.

I've always backed him to do well. I was concerned towards the end of the last season whether he would be sold or not, and I honestly thought that had we got a good enough bid then we might have done.

He's been nothing short of marvellous this season so far, keep it going Dimitar FFS

When Berba was playing badly, he was bad.I was never going to say he was doing well.
Now he's doing very well it's that simple. No need for all the "I was right all along .."

I'm delighted to see him doing so well. All I've wanted is to see him play consistently, just to see him given a proper chance, and hes taking it.

It's amazing how things work, last year, we played 442 with Berba and Rooney at Anfield, and that game convinced Fergie not do do that again for big games, this year it will have convinced Fergie he can play that way.

Its hard for spastics not to be spastics.

But if someone has said "He wont do the business for 2 full seasons, then he'll be better than Rooney and score 5 in 5" then that man or woman deserves to grandstand on their soapbox.

i just hope we're all here saying the same thing at the END of the season

Well its unlikely he'll do the business in every big game this season, but it should have opened a door now. And he should be doing it in every couple of big matches.

And yes he will play in a lot of them thanks to this performance and those goals.

But thats it inst it, what he did wasn't in any way deserving of the pure bile he got on this place, the shit levelled at him whenever we dropped a point or he didnt score a hatrick was disgusting frankly, it was pathetic and i think those individuals fully deserve to be labelled idiots because they are, and i dont care for one moment if thats being overly smug, i hope it is, after months of backing him i and the others who have deserve to finally say it how it is, lets not sugar coat it, the people who were levelling the abuse they were at him last season are idiots plain and simple, his performances were never as bad as they'd have the world believe and it was never all Berbatovs fault everytime someting went wrong which is all you ever read on here..... the manager is the best person to judge of course and he always maintained the same, he said in the programme notes for todays game no less, Berbatov was made a scapegoat by a section of the fans last year, and he was, and those fans should take a long hard look at themselves.

So yes i will be smug and no i wont apologise for it, if you couldnt see the ability of the man then you dont understand the game plain and simple, those who do understand the game notably backed him, and were proven correct to do so.

Always asked people to get behind the man but, now find myself saying - ok great start but, temper it because it still is only 5 games into the season.

We'll always remember this hattrick and how it won us the game - the overhead kick for the 2nd.

Berbatov needs to carry this form on I feel otherwise soon as he has a bit of a dip - we are going to be back in arguments about his pricetag and should do more. Scary to think though if Rooney finds some form and Berbatov continues in this vein along with Nani - what they can achieve.

And those who'd written him off and were calling for his sale should be hanging their heads in shame.

100% agree with this.

Theres a difference between calling for his sale and saying you think he will be sold. Some of his biggest fans on here thought he might be sold after the Munich matches last season. Clearly I and they were wrong.

some of you take serious pride in dividing United fans

I wonder what you're about, indivudual players or the club?

why can't we all celebrate the mans greatness together?

They care about gloating on the internet even when it takes 2 years of typing rubbish for the payoff.

Well said.

The criticism on here was always so over the top, especially after the games last spring.
