You're a defender of the Berbafaith. I forgive your lame Berbacare.

I posted merely so that tiresome people like yourself don't come back with the "but you never post positive comments about Berba when he's playing well" whine once he starts to revert to his normal self again. And I am sure this will happen, but will be happy to be proven wrong, as I have often said.

It literally makes no sense that a Manchester United fan could be so embittered about the fact that a Manchester United player is in such great form.

It really is astonishing.

Here's 50 spastic points...

Embittered? How do you work that out? My feeling on him is well documented. I would like to see him prove me wrong though. I don't have as much faith as you or others that he will be a huge success here though. Astonishing? Not really. Fairly common perception of the man I would say. But you carry on and dish out your "points" if it makes you feel good.

It doesn't make me feel good that fellow fans post such ridiculous drivel...

He's in great form and you're wishing for/pre-empting a loss of form, presumably to avoid embarrassment having aired your negative views towards him for so long.

Why not just enjoy the man's form now for what it is? You wouldn't be the first person to have to back track on a player...

Wishing for?

Embarassed?

You're making it up now. Stick to what I have written.

Make of that what you will, people.

Despite Fergie's comments the funny thing about Berbatov this season (and last) is that he's created very little. He's been much more of a goal threat himself than he was in his debut season but he's got a lot less assists, for some reason.

Probably mainly to do with being encouraged to get forwards more but I'd like to see him setting up a few more goals, rather than just getting on the end of them. If he can start scoring and creating goals, the concerns about a lack of creativity in central midfield will be a lot less pressing.

It's strange actually, of all the player in our squad I think Berbatov struck up the best understanding with Michael Carrick. They seem to link up really well together. A good season from the two of them will make a massive difference to our chances of winning trophies IMO.

Is a good point - as you say, it's down to his positioning on the field now. He's definitely a lot more advanced.

The most pleasing part of his game is his increased physicality/mobility. The summer's rest looks to have really reinvigourated him in that respect.

Chicarito

Berba also had instant understanding with Hernandez and their partnership was doing well in pre season. I think Berba's partnership was more smooth when compared to Hernadez/Rooney we saw last match.

Yeah, but with Rooney in his usual early season slumber, he'd struggle to link up well with anyone.

that was a positive comment?

i bet it will be a nightmare for you when you have to compose wedding vows ;) ( assuming you're that way inclined of course )

But carry on defending him chaps..........if you do it long enough, he may put together a decent run and then you can say you told us so. We just won't accept that scoring a couple of hattricks for AFC Bournemouth in 8 years is legitimate validation of your claims.

Berbatov showed us this weekend how he is best used - coming off the bench with 20 to go. Not what you want as a return on your investment really. He should be challenging for a spot up front next to Rooney, dropping deeper to collect perhaps, but given his lack of energy over the course of 90 minutes, it's obvious this is not going to happen, ever. My gripe isn't with Berbatov as a talent, rather as a player who fits the United mould, who can be relied upon to give his all for 90 minutes when we need him to step up. He hasn't done that this year, by a long shot, and should be on his way this summer. If not, I will live in hope that he proves me wrong, of course, but I won't hold my breath.

Spastic.

I know you've all got your cocks out after he's started the season well. Whether you get to keep them out will remain to be seen.

Wankers.

Many of you probably do, but I can't believe you're one of them.

Well, here's hoping he does. Are you hoping?

Dans, you really do have an irrational hatred over Berbatov. I quite like it though, it's not been witnessed since Remy graced these forums, and at first it was annoying, but with time, we were able to look back and appreciate his......retardation.

Are you sitting next to him? Is that why you're hoping?

Why is it hurting this bad!

Our player, playing well

you are waiting for him to decline?!

I hope he drives you to be sectioned mate!

I think you are all fairly incapable of rationally interpreting what someone who doesn't share your view of a player is actually saying.

Someone doesn't agree with your opinon - shock horror.

He's had three decent games. Shock horror.

I have always said I hope he does well - for United's sake. You all conveniently miss that part so that you can make your one post, one word infantile insults.

That I am sceptical is a position I am entitled to take - I have done so with Gibson, in the past with Silvestre, with others too I am sure - I have been posting for 10 years.

I simply don't subscribe to the sheep attitude that you all have on here which compels you to defend all things United simply because it is United.

Dans just give it up mate.

Why not just throw your weight behind an in form Manchester United player? You do support the club after all...

"Throw my weight behind"? Some of you really overestimate the power of the internet forum.
