Television Dexter

I think the Brain Surgeon is Vogel, although I'd be disappointed if it is her as I've suspected her to be the one behind the killings and so it wouldn't be much of a twist.

If it's not her, it has to be someone dexter knows or someone we've been introduced to already this season (Cassie's boyfriend, for example). Introducing someone new at this point would be as pointless as the phantom killer from last season.

Perhaps the black sergeant cop lady is the brain surgeon? At least then her character would have a purpose for being on the show.

The boyfriend's reaction was so badly performed I thought for a second that maybe he had killed her and was badly covering his tracks. That would mean that Cassie had spoken to 3 murderers in one day though and that is just silly, even for Miami.

Wouldn't usually bump my own post but I just realised Cassie also spoke with Deb the day she died, so that's 4 murderers, she would have spoken to Quinn at Jamie's party the day before too. She never stood a chance really.

There's only 4 episodes left of the entire show and I've no idea where they're heading with this. It doesn't seem like Dexter will get caught or is in any imminent danger. They'll probably catch and kill the Brain Surgeon and that'll be it.

The main problem with this season is the lack of a main antagonist, something the show has generally always had, and everytime we get close to having one, they're killed off for no apparent reason other than the writers probably haven't a clue how to progress them further than a one dimensional gimp. Even last season, which overall was poor, was made much better by Isaac (who they still killed off after nine episodes and then introduced another pointless one). The whole of this season has been a jumbled miss with seemingly no endpoint or overall plot in sight.

I think Quinn setup the kid. That is why he asked Dexter whether he found anything from the crime scene which links to zach. Anyways I thought this episode was better and yeah I also liked the kid in this episode.

Well no because she was freaked out on her own at home. If she was the Brain Surgeon she wouldn't have done that, there was nobody there to play act to.

I doubt that it matters to the writers. They have probably forgot that scene and give us Vogel as the main villain and think that are smart.

Probably. It was like at the end of last season when Dexter said to Deborah "do what you gotta do..." right before she shot La Guerta, with those being the same words that Hannah said to Dexter just before he was about to kill her. Bet they were beside themselves after that...

Don't really know at all where the show is trying to head. Seems they have tried to fill half the season with fluff before actually putting Dexter under threat towards the end. At least I'm hoping now that this brain surgeon is back that a threat towards dexter actually appears. If it doesn't it is going to be a rather crappy end to the series.

Why can I see the brain surgeon being some random ex cop who worked with harry and as a result knows about dexter isn't it. I'm going to just say the police chief guy who laguerta was always going to. Makes little sense, but then with these writers you never know.

Is there any villain/ally of Dexter from the previous seasons who could end up being the Brain Surgeon? Can't really think of any who are alive except Lumen.

Dexter has fully lost the fecking plot and he is the brain surgeon. He will realize this slighty too late, just as he is killing himself.

Just can't wiat for the show to end tbh. Kind of like "please put it out of it's misery" now already.

It's almost painful to watch, which is a pity because it was one of the top shows.

If Quinn set up the kid, I'd be pretty annoyed. Quinn has to be the most stupid and useless cop in Miami, only eclypsed by Angel.

Finally caught up with this. I was quite traumatized after seeing Dexter's bum cheeks during that sex scene, there really was no need to show them.

As for the brain surgeon, I have absolutely no idea who it could be.

There's four episodes left including tonight's episode. Surely they have to put Dexter in some form of danger tonight, unless they plan to have the last few episodes about Dexter and Hannah being all lovey-dovey before eventually riding off into the sunset.

I think Deb is the brain surgeon. Don't know how, don't know why, but it probably will be her.

I think it'll be Elway. And I expect Hannah and Vogel to die, with the final(ish) scene being Dexter bathed in Vogel's blood; which would bring the "birth" and "death" of Dexter's dark passenger full circle.

Hopefully not. That will be the last thing they can ruin in a show that has been ruined in every possible way. I was hoping for a strong ending but it seems that we won't have it.

Definitely, but I'd watch Breaking Bad first so it doesn't feel like a step down when you get round to that.

I completely forgot about Dexter... is the last season worth watching?

At this point probably not. Seems to be more of the same so far this season. So unless you have watched everything else and are just looking to see how they end things I wouldn't bother to much.

I'm sure someone could summarise everything major that has happened so far this season in a paragraph if you wanted and you can just watch the final four episodes.

Its a shame the spoiler I read are correct cos it sounded to crap to be true. I just hope its at least done well to redeem itself

I try not to be too critical and read into things too much on TV shows but God, last night's episode was shit.

From the whole "Oh Zack knew DNA was important so he placed some blood and hair under this table for me" to Vogel's psycho son who died in a mental hospital in England but he didn't really and he's actually in Miami killing people to Deb just going along with being a roommate with a serial killer.

well that was rather predictable in the end. At least now it looks like there may actually be a threat to Dexter for the final couple of episodes

Predictable ending. The constant referral to 'family' is as annoying as the constant reference to 'the dark passenger' was a few seasons ago. I get there's a central theme to the season, the writers don't need to remind us every fecking episode.

The preview for the last 3 episodes look decent. But then again, they always look good and turn out to be poor.
