Television Dexter

Not sure what to think about the latest episode. For some reason I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous one. I keep wondering when someone will over hear dexter and deb talking about things. The amount of times they chat in the police station, car parks, pubs and worst of all a prison visitors meeting I feel someone should have heard something by now. They should at least make them look like they are trying to keep it quite and checking for people around them before chatting.

I just felt they didn't need to have that conversation in prison. It could have happened prior to Isaac getting nabbed. It would have been a lot more realistic

Am I the only one who hates watching the previews? I always jump to the X button right when it fades to black at the end. I hate even the slightest morsel of a hint :)

No I avoid them too. They pretty much spoil the episode, and at the very least give away where the plot is going.

Remember "Hello, Dexter Morgan". They literally showed the ending to that episode in the preview. Ridiculous.

Showtime seems particularly bad for this - the Homeland previews give away too much as well.

Hell yeah, mah boy Dex!

This season is shaping up to be quite interesting. Isaac is more than a match for Dex, and now Dex getting off with Hannah is going to put him up against Deb and her new bf.

Unfortunately couldn't give less of a shit if Quinn died or Baptista bought a sodding restaraunt, it's a shame but it's always been a real weakness of Dexter as a series, everything to do with the supporting cast just feels like filler.

So out of Deb, Hannah and the new writer guy, who is gonna have to die? I can't see Dexter just offing Hannah after a bit, it would be like a repeat of season 2 if he did. But Hannah will have to go eventually, I reckon Isaac will get to Hannah before Dex gets to Isaac. It's gonna be Rita all over again for poor Dex :(

EDIT: For the record, I do think the last scene was laughably shit. It made no sense whatsoever that Dexter wouldn't kill her, especially after killing a love interest before. Great kill room, great build up, even her 'Do what you gotta do' line was pretty cool (as opposed to being a begging sissy). But whatever, it all adds to the convoluted drama that keeps me coming back, plus like Kinky said, there's more chance of seeing Hannahs bangers now.

I really liked that. I'm liking how Deb is still finding out more about Dexter and now she knows about him and Lumen.

Out of the three I could possibly see
Sal being killed by Dexter. Would be a huge change from his code but he's messed up right now and as Sal keeps on looking into Hannah, it could possibly put Dexter at risk as well so he may feel that he's left with little option.

Yeah, the last scene was rubbish. I couldn't see her being killed off after just a few episodes when there's so much left to explore of her character (though that hasn't stopped them before - see: Mike, Louis).

That last scene went against everything Dexter stands for. Do hot murderers get a free pass now? Unless he killed her straight after getting some, which would be pretty fecking cool in a sick way.

I'm pretty sure that:

Quinn will end up getting Angel killed since I wouldn't put it past the writers to have him die in a 'few days before retirement' cop cliche.

 That would be good.

What is pretty clear is he'll most likely regret not killing her when he could have done.

I'm liking Isaak more as the series progresses.

wtf the ending was fecked up :wenger:.Such a shame as the episode was really good in general. The writers in trying to be original are screwing this show big time

Sure looks like it. I feel one of them will go for sure.

Horny Dexter took all of her clothes off, coulnd't help himself

That's exactly what I thought would actually happen

That was one of the most retarded endings to any episode of anything ever. Not a bad episode though, and a decent series so far in comparison to the last one.

I can put up with terrible character development, weak side plots, shoddy writing, poor dialogue and completely pissing on the shows legacy but only side boob. feck you Dexter, feck you.

The worst part about that ending for me was the sideboob. Not because I didn't like it, I did, and a gif is needed asap. However it probably means we won't see any boobage in future and just conveniently placed arms and L shaped bedsheets. If she was down for it they'd have shown it then.

Anyway the ending was fecking weird. Why would he do that? Also why would she straight up be down for fecking? Why didn't she ask what the hell he was doing? You were gonna kill me but now you want to screw? Fine by me.

Enjoyed that episode, although the ending was poor and went against what Dexter would do. That said, I did think it was predictable they would do a Lumen type story with Hannah, although I hope they don't kill her/get rid of her as quickly as they did with Lumen.

The season is starting to get interesting. I think there are still 6 episodes left so they have plenty of time to develop the story and, hopefully, not rush things.

 Yeah. She didn't seem the least bit freaked out that this guy who convinced her to go out with him had her taped up naked to a table he had set up and was about to kill her.

Who would have thought our first glimpse of Yvonne side boob would have us all so angry.

Where to begin...

Look, I'm all for a bit of Strahovski side boob, who wouldn't be? But that ending was atrocious.

"I need to kill this bitch, she's guilty, she's killed at least 3 people."
"Do what you gotta do, bro."
"... let's feck."

The sad thing is that I actually quite enjoyed the episode until that point.

It's amazing how stupid the writing has gotten now, characters randomly changing decisions out of nowhere, or easily being persuaded to do whatever they're asked to do, like killing themselves.

I don't give two shits about Angel and his restaurant, nor about Quinn and his Russian bird seeing as they seem to be refusing to show her tits. This new guy seems pointless too, purely a plot device thrown in to progress the Hannah story.

Also, it's quite funny how La Guerta is suddenly like "hang on, we never found the bodies for any of the guys involved in the torture and killing of those girls." Not like that was remotely suspicious and needed investigation two years ago or anything, but obviously now that the Butcher might still be active, it's suddenly possible that he killed them and they should look into it more.

When they are talking about heart disease, why does Harry say to Dexter "Hell, it got me"? I thought he commited suicide...

He did do, but Dexter and Deb originally thought that he died of heart disease, only for Matthews to tell Dexter at some point in season 2 that he actually committed suicide.

Considering none of the current writers were a part of season two, and how shit they are, it's hardly a surprise that they don't know that.

I am not sure about the Hannah arc. Initially I was iffy about Issac and they have turned him into some sort of terminator but still he is holding up really well and if keeps it up then can rival trinity as Dexter's biggest nemesis. Hannah thing though seems to be a rehash of a mixture of the Lyla from S2 and Lumen from S5. How they arrived at both of them hooking was clumpsy as hell as well. Now they have committed that harakiri, I hope they will take this some place new.

Hannah is actually far less annoying than Lyla, and far more prettier than Lumen. So its not all bad.

Its just Dexter's strange decision making which has been annoying.

I just don't understand why they would build up the entire episode towards a kill and to finish it like that with him doing her. They could have gotten to the same conclusion by a more logical route

This thread with its boob fixation has taken on a Beavis and Butthead tone.
