Television Dexter

He's a closet gay.

I dont see how him being gay does anything for the story, and it's really not important if he is or isn't, but I think he is.

Best thing about this season so far is the character development regarding Debra.
Wow! You must be joking? She's had some awful seasons, but for me this is probably her worst. Another horrendous episode, this is actually worse than last season. I wanted (and expected) it to get better ffs!

That's how shit this season has general been.If you expected something to be better on Dexter then you really are hopeless

They did set it up nicely in the last episode of the previous season, so yes, I had some hope. They ruined it pretty quickly.

I'm still able to enjoy it because I don't take it as seriously as I used to, and the nitpicking has become part of the fun now. There's so many funny or stupid things, it would be a shame to ignore them. Look at that fecking costume kouroux posted on the last page!

That costume was pathetic! It completely took away from any form of menace. And his stupid fecking mazes. Strobe lights, dummies, old tv's and all manners of shite.

Only thing that bothered me about last night's episode was the conversation on the phone at the very end as you'd think that someone would ask any questions as to why Dexter was there and wouldn't the conversation be recorded somehow?

I'm sure that's not the last we've seen from Isaac either, probably with the help of that bribe given to Quinn

I am quite enjoying this season. I mean the writing is terrible, but at least the plots interesting.

Good episode. Looks to be an interesting twist in the next episode too going by the preview.

I'm enjoying the season, good episode and I like the direction it's taking.

I've a feeling Deb is going to end up sacrificing herself for Dexter.

There's no point in trying to make sense of this show anymore, the writing is just so poor that it takes whatever liberties it can to progress the plots.

It was an ok episode, it's definitely a better season than last season was anyway.

Again enjoyed it, and we all know tats not the last we'll see of Isaac. I reckon there's going to be a few Miami homicide cops dead by the end of this season.

Yeah that was a pretty good episode. Hope Isaac being in prison doesn't mean we see less of him now. It'll be just like them to make Isaac take a back seat the second he gets more interesting.

I hope they kill off Quinn. He's got the only dull story line left.

Speculation based on Preview and IMDB stuff below

Apparently Isaac is credited as appearing in every episode. I'm sure we'll still be seeing a fair bit of him, and from the previews I reckon it looks like Quinn could be going this season.

Nah, he's the first big bad that is more than Dexters match in everyway. We'll see plenty of him I reckon. They'll do this next storyline for a bit then bring Isaac back into it.

I'd put a future/preview speculation warning before that Damien.

You could have said that was a preview spoiler Damien. You're going to be a shit mod at this rate :)

Good episode. Isaac finally does something meaningful.

Will be interesting how they progress with Hannah's character - does Dexter kill her or will he be attracted to her?

So far, it's been an average season but I think it's better than last year.

I dunno why but I kinda wanted Hannah to be a love interest. I guess I just want Dexter to get some action every now and again.

Yeah you do, because that would increase the chance of some Yvonne Strahovski nakedness.

Decent episode. Isaak got a little less cheesy.

Yeah, same for me. That scene was just ridiculous. Even if it's not recorded, surely there's some prison guards or other visitors nearby who would hear something of their rather long conversation. Terrible writing for so many reasons.

Rest of the episode was good though. Batista didn't look like a person who'd just leave it there after being told off by Debra, so will be interesting to see if he's actually done chasing that or not.

A bit too convenient that they managed to find evidence of Dexter being with one of the bay harbour butcher victims right before his disappearance that fast, but I guess that's the case for almost any TV show so the story can move along relatively quick. Doesn't quite fit with how Dexter behaved in early seasons though, when you consider how he tried to teach Miguel Prado to not be seen by anyone so that there was no link.

Not sure what to think about the latest episode. For some reason I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous one. I keep wondering when someone will over hear dexter and deb talking about things. The amount of times they chat in the police station, car parks, pubs and worst of all a prison visitors meeting I feel someone should have heard something by now. They should at least make them look like they are trying to keep it quite and checking for people around them before chatting.

Yeah, that annoys me as well. It would be so easy to only make them talk in private rooms, but for some reason they don't bother doing that. I sort of wonder if it's intentional and that it's the plan that someone hears them eventually.

As someone said writing is still average but they have roped me back in. Characters seem to have a proper and believable arcs now. More importantly the storyline is well knitted together, the filler stiff is minimal.

Am I the only one who hates watching the previews? I always jump to the X button right when it fades to black at the end. I hate even the slightest morsel of a hint :)

Wishful thinking I would say at this point :(

Can't say it has ever bothered me. I watch them, but have generally totally forgotten about it by the time the next episode is actually released.
