Television Dexter

I'm intrigued as to what way they will go with that reveal. It could work but it could also be a disaster.

I have a feeling that Debra will only see what she wants to see type thing. It may not be as full blown reveal as we're anticipating

It'll end up being a dream sequence. I'll bet money on it now.

Hope not. That'd be fecked up.

Dexter getting found out had so much potential. They could've built up to it gradually, making the tension unbearable by the end of it. They even could've tricked you into thinking that Dexter had got away with it, then....SHIT....Deborah catches him red-handed against all the odds, leaving Dexter with a decision as to whether or not he should kill her. All this shite with the therapist...instead, they should've dropped subtle hints that Deborah was investigating Dexter, depicting her gradually losing the plot from what the audience would perceive as her succombing to the stress caused from her new position, and getting in that killer moment when you realise that Deborah knows.

From what I remember, Dexter got caught simply because he was an idiot (why did he do it in the church, and why did Deborah randomly go there?), and simply because the writers couldn't think of a better, more coherent way to end the season.

I'm so disappointed...they should've dedicated the whole season to his capture, not just some random scene at the end whereby Deborah just happens to walk in on him. I thought that this is what they were doing when they were gradually turning Deborah into a super cop, but it wasn't to be. :(

It would've been better had Debra suspected Dexter and then caught him rather than just walking in on him. The incest angle was wrong and pointless, as was the one episode where they brought back Dexter's brother only to 'kill' him the same episode.

I hope Debra and Dexter work together, not sure what they're going to do with the intern - hopefully he's not the main villain.

Possibly the worst episode of the show ever.

Dexter driving along shooting a fecking gun into the sky, christ.

Yeah, easily the worst Dexter episode I've seen. To think that it was from the same show that produced this scene:

...it is beyond belief. :(

"Shut up cnut" gets me every time.

It doesn't really surprise me, all the original writers were gone after season 4. Hence the massive dip in quality in 5 and 6.

Am I the only one who enjoyed Season 6 then? Sure it had plotholes, and it doesn't compare to seasons 1, 2 and 4, but it was an entertaining season nonetheless. I liked the whole religious aspect of it too.

Enjoyed the ending too, will be interesting to see how they play it out. Anyone any guesses?

Plotholes galore, as in, blatant ones all over the place that made the entire thing nonsensical in almost every possible fecking aspect.

The writing in general was atrocious, the dialogue was awful, the 'villain' was shite, the twists were ridiculously obvious and the story throughout was disjointed and shit (Incest, black ex con priest, road trip). It also doesn't help that Dexter is literally the only likable character left in the show, and even he was annoying at times.

Honestly, it was a train wreck, abysmally bad television from start to finish. The ONLY redeeming quality was the ending, an ending that should've happened LAST season.

I liked season 6 too. Wasn't too keen on the...

...weird secretive attraction/love thing Deborah has got for Dexter but I liked how she witnessed one of Dexter's murders at the end. Will be interesting to see how this develops.

Ye but, apart from that, what did you reckon?

The incest story line I didn't like at all, hope they drop it pretty sharpish.

I really don't understand how they were expecting people to react to that.

"Yaaay! I fecking love incest!"

I enjoyed it. Sure it wasn't as good as previous seasons, but one has to be the best and one has to be the worst. It was still good.

Get out of this thread (in a nice way, don't spoil anything for yourself), and enjoy!

Finally finished up watching the first season yesterday and it was a master piece. Just watched the 2nd season opening episode as well and have to say it was a great start but felt like they bought up his
killings
a bit too soon.

Quick question, I watched the first season a couple of months ago. Really enjoyed it. Just started watching the second season now, 2 episodes in and I'm not really enjoying it much, the novelty has kind of died down. My question is should I carry on watching it, and does it get better?

Definitely watch season 4, it is the best season IMO. Season 5 and in particular season 6 don't really add much to the overall story.

Yes it does, the final 4 episodes of season 2 are ace.

Yvonne Strahovski is going to be in the next season.

...I didn't want to watch the next season, but dammit they've brought me back in.

Aw man, now I have to fecking watch it.

And it's Showtime, it means they can show tits, but I know they won't show her tits, but I still have to watch.

DAMN YOU DEXTER!

 My exact thoughts. Here's hoping.

Be careful lads shes dangerous....

Yvonne Strahovski Is Ruining My Life...

She's ruining my life. It's amazing how those four words can mean so much to myself, and so little to every other person on the planet.
A woman I've never met (nor ever will), a woman who doesn't even know I exist.. How can somebody who I know nothing about have such a profound effect on my life? I really would like to know.

I consider myself a rational and sane man. I have a good job, I'm a decent looking fella, I'm also highly intelligent but severely underachieving in life... But yet the thought of this woman causes my heart to flutter and palpitate in my chest -- why is this? Obviously we all know she is a beautiful woman, but is that really the reason why the thought of her recently has made so many relevant things in my life seem irrelevant? Trying to focus at work now has become a test of mental endurance. I honestly don't know, I feel stupid just typing this, but maybe if I get this off my chest, she'll finally loosen up this death grip on my heart.

This all may be caused by three things. I am a hopeless romantic (I know, right), I am attracted to a woman by her eyes and her smile (and no guys, that's not code for tits and ass), and I love a woman who is close to her family (family is important). So when you get a woman who happens to have beautiful eyes and an amazing smile, and is close with her family, it melts my heart.

Typing this feels stupid, but once it's out there for the whole world to read (if they so choose), possibly somebody will have some advice on how to cure what I am calling the stupidity disease, mainly because it's stupid to think about a woman who will never even know you were on this Earth.

Well. There's the tale of why Yvonne Strahovski is ruining my life. You may now proceed to laugh, mock, and/or ridicule me in the comments section, I have it coming for being an idiot.
